Frankly at the end of the day, BB is about showing your personality and how you portray yourself. It's not about how well you did tasks (which btw Asim has done very well indeed), it's not about how entertaining one has been (as for many there have not been better entertainers than swami om, Pooja Mishra, dolly Bindra etc). It's about how you have portrayed yourself and how your BB journey has been.
There's not doubt shukla has been a major part of Asim's BB journey, but so has he been part of other HMs journey. But IMO the most important reason for Asim being so well liked as the way he has fought back against the bullying not oy that he endured in the hands of Shukla and his gang, but more strikingly against the channel/ BB team/ host.
Along with that he has impressed audience with his hardwork, his fitness has been inspirational, hisostly chivalrous behaviour towards females', his sweet friendship towards Rashmi n Vishal, his bittersweet moments with hai frenemies, Paras, Mahira, Sana and Arti and last but not the least his unexpected romantic angle with Himanshi has shown us one of the most holistic journey of any BB HM and has positives have far out weighed his negatives.
