Welcome to the press conference that was filled with well versed journalists. Oh wait, I was thinking of another press conference. Let me try that again, welcome to why the press conference was a sh*t show or also known as "one hour of bullying". So lets get into it.
The reporters were extremely unprofessional.
There was no attempt made to keep neutrality, it seemed like a session made to show Shukla as some sort of helpless white knight even further.
There was no desire to distribute difficult questions fairly, instead interestingly enough most of the difficult questions or reputation damaging ones were thrown on Shehnaaz and Asim. Very convenient to throw two new comers who've probably never done full on press conferences before under the bus. I would also get into what happened to Rashami but at this point all I can say is the three of them need to sue Colors TV for wrongful defamation. I wasn't a huge fan of Rashami in the start, heck I'll be honest and admit I did not like her at all, but seeing the h*ll she's going through wth this show has made me develop a very soft corner for the girl.
Another thing I really wanted to point out regardless of how you feel about any girl on this show, it's a bit rich to publicly shame a girl for being a bit of a flirt and leave the guy (Sid) in this case with a clean chit. This part bothered me the most especially is, outlets like PinkVilla who claim to be for women empowerment were doing this. It actually shows that Indian mentality towards this topic, and a very clear gender bias. What could've happened is they could've questioned Sana on why she for an example hugs Sid when he doesn't want it among other things and that would've been reasonable. They also vice versa could've pointed out Sid's physical aggression towards her and that would've been reasonable. However, sl*t shaming over fan girl moments and being a bit flirtatious? Give me a break. Apparently the message these media outlets want to give out "if you're a guy you can do anything" however if you're a girl you're a "sl*t, wh*re,characterless" and much more! We can sit here as a group and pretend to be progressive but we've got a lot of work ahead of us to actually get to that point.
Coming back to Asim, what the f was that? They weren't actually doing their job as journalists and it showed very clearly. They were repeating WKW all over again. Journalists are suppose to ask questions, not throw accusations around, and that's all they did with Asim, threw baseless accusations around. Out of everyone Asim probably gets bullied most on the show and during WKW these days.
Ending note, one of the journalists (Sarita) actually stated that she was stopped by BiggBoss from asking a question that would've showed Shukla in a bad light. Also for those saying that Asim or Sana got exposed, they didn't get exposed, they got accusations thrown at them at that's it, and for the most part they handled it well. Exposing them would mean finding out something new or hidden we didn't know, this was plain bullying and nothing more. Why didn't Pahira get difficult questions? Oh wait- they're supporting channel ka daamad.
