Because he was on and off with her never really had a firm breakup. But the girl has clarified shes not in a relationship they are just friends. Salman, Vikas and Channel need an excuse to bash Asim and make Shukla look good. Asim unfortunately doesnt know what’s happening outside and that Shefali has already denied. He’s probably thinking Shefali thinks they are still together.

As this show is scripted, all this Asim’s GF may be brought to get TRP. First they planted a seed through Vikas. Then comes Salman. Then there will be lot of clarification. That way BB will be in the mind and discussion of people. It is definitely not harming Asim’s image at all rather it will boost his votes.
