It was a correct stand but was made a joke of and Madhu got away with it cuz we have our beloved Sidnaz who are selling violence in the name of romance and 'friendship'.
Sana did slap and get physically violent with Sid multiple times in the episode though so if she did take a stand, that would have been pointed out as well. Obviously what Sid did was far worse (and he's done it before too) but can't justify Sana either.
