Goldmine for BB- Sid and Asim!

This post is about BB more than anything else.
I feel The rivalries this season were supposed to be as planned by Bb were

Rashmi Vs Sid( central)

All the characters were supposed to revolve around this.

Paras Vs Asim was organic as Paras just needed to bully someone not popular and get screen time. He had no idea it would backfire on him.

Asim was supposed to be a supporting character for Sid. But that’s it- or have the kind of role that Arti has with Sid.

Asim and Sid rivalry was never planned by the channel. It even caught them by surprise when it first happened but they realised that it was more passionate than any rivalry on the show. A lot of times they went for the reconciliation path but they just couldn’t succeed as they want to stick to their original Rashmi Vs Sid.

But I feel the reason this season is that lit- not just talking about TRP but SM engagement ( look at how mad twitter is- breaking records in trends by both sid and Asim fandoms and will keep doing the same over the course of next month).

Is because of the unexpected rivalry between Sid and Asim.

BB found a goldmine without being prepared for it. Two friends like brothers ( we saw a glimpse of how close they were with Asim saying he sat with Sid whole night after hearing about his dad and Sid saying he wanted to send Asim’s parents on Hajj) are now sworn enemies.

From great love comes great hate! And this is something every one loves and gets invested in- no matter what side of the fence you’re on.

Brothers turned foes( also maybe it’s subtle but Bb keeps trying to let the audience think others like Sj, HK, Arhaan, Paras, Sana, RD are responsible for the split).

I feel Sid vs Asim is the BB goldmine this year! Don’t know what they will do with it. But it’s probably been the highlight of the season.

Also the fandom wars is insane between the two!

Yes, without a doubt its the heart of the season. Also, the real explosion in popularity (that prompted the extension) was because of their fight. At the end of the day, its worth watching because its real. They genuinely loved each other, and now they genuinely don't.

Personally, I think Shukla should have been thrown out long ago for all the violence but we all know why that hasn't happened. So, from that point of view, it only makes sense for Asim vs Shukla to be the top 2.

Now, Shukla is really tough to digest as a winner, and it would truly send a very bad message and set a very scary tone for future seasons if his behavior is rewarded with the trophy. If the channel wants Sana to win, there will have to be some voting manipulation because there is no way Sana will overtake these two in fan engagement (as seen by the Twitter wars). If the show wants Rashmi to win or even reach the top 3, then again, they will have to manipulate. All this manipulation has already left a very bad taste in people mouths this season anyway, so they should absolutely stick to votes at the end. So, from that perspective, the logical pathway that I can see here is a Shukla vs Asim finale with Asim winning. But we still have a month so lets see what happens.

Shukla isn't winning definitely not, the makers are just milking him for content and controversy till the finale and they'll hand the trophy to someone else. They can't risk giving him the trophy it will set a very bad precedent for others next year, so much that BB might even have to shut down then

Totally agree with you. No one knew Asim will take a stand and go against Shukla. This type of relationships bring excitement to the show. I wish Pahira had a fight too. I would have loved to see Mahira playing her own game like Asim did.

Yes the fanwars have been intense . I feel this season has been so successful as all contestants are strong and have very distinct individualistic traits on display . Head strong people in there .

Yes sid -asim bond will be a highlight of this season .

Agree .. show was 75% abt Sid vs Asim

Another thing I want to add is.

Expected rivalries are great or the ones that are set within a week or two. But the unexpected ones are always the surprise package of the season!

Sid And Asim are exactly that. Surprise and unplanned and unexpected. I’m surprised how both have riled up the fans.

Also another funny thing is the most expected people to win - from Top 4 or Rashmi, Sid, Sana and Asim. 3 are from the original SAAS group! Lol.

We can see the difference between Asim from the first few weeks to the Asim of now. Even when he gets irritating and you want to bang your head, you know that he is fearless. That makes neutral viewers want still to hold onto him even when you feel that he is going wrong.
