It's trust more than friendship. He knows Arti won't go against Sid ever but Paras is a gamer. So it's obvious, also that Chela tag by caller but mostly it's trust. He always trusted Aarti in that sense and that's the reason he and Asim saved Arti over Sana in the starting of the show many times, I guess twice. Even, in BB delivery task, Arti was the one who they would have saved. Same in queen task, Sid planned to save Arti.

I think it's coz he knows arti from before n it's like an obligation on his part that whenever arti is in the picture, he has to save her. He clearly doesn't respect aarti talks rudely to her, but when it comes to saving from nominations, seems for Sid it's a foregone conclusion that it has to be arti.

This way Arti won't rebel against him and I'm sure he realises because of her mental health, he must have looked bad the past week and nominating her would have made it worse, that's why he mentioned while saving her that we fought, but we solved our issues or something like that. Sad, but this is the way a gamer would think lol

Also, he didn't want to make the nominations 'comfortable' for the others like Mahira said lol
He wants Himanshi/ Shefali out to weaken Asim. He knows Rashmi/ Asim/ Paras won't go. If Arti was in it then Arti would probably go.

Whatever the reason, I'm happy he saved her!
