5-Week Extension: Momentum and Fatigue

The more I think about it, the more I am feeling less positive about the extension. Mainly for two reasons:

1. The show was at a certain momentum, and one by one as people got evicted, the finish line seemed closer. With either Mahira or Paras going this week, that would REALLY put whoever stays on a do-or-die game flipping circumstance. Plus, Rashmi has been teasing an Asim partnership. Asim just delivered a rousing 'Common Man' wala speech. Paras/the women issue seemed to be getting deeper and more personal. Shukla's behavior continued to get worse and worse, with the 2 major examples this week being the Aarti insensitivity and the Pasta meltdown. Pura momentum agayathah show mein. Seemed like we are getting somewhere. Now that we know the finale is literally 2 and a half months away (almost a quarter of the year still to go!), it just kills the feeling of urgency. Feels like a reboot in a bad way.

2. The contestants who are going to be in the house from day one all the way up to finale (probably just Sid, Sana, Asim, unless something drastically changes soon) are going to be EXHAUSTED. And frankly, we as fans are going to be so fatigued of this as well. There is only so much creative can do to keep every episode feeling urgent and must-watch. Knowing that we have so much time go to, I would probably feel so dejected if I was in the house.

Hopefully, I'm proven wrong and the show gets better and better. Thoughts?

[Also, quick note on the Wild Cards: I'm really NOT interested in Arhaan at all at this point. He is clearly planning some romance thing with Rashmi as he has been parading around saying, and it totally takes away all the realism for me. Bagga was a great contestant, but I also sorta feel like she might have outlived her potential. And frankly, with Vishal's ex, with Vishal himself being pretty new in the house anyway, its just gonna feel like a totally different show with new stories and characters. No closure, no arc, just bam! here's a broken relationship out of nowhere imported from a different reality show. So, I'm kinda not too keen on the wild card situation either. Again, hopefully my pessimism is proven unwarranted though, as I have really enjoyed this season so far. Just hope it isn't remembered as that one amazing season that went on for too long!]

I can understand where you're coming from. I feel the same. 5 week extension seems TOO LONG! It'll get monotonous & viewers will get bored of it soon.

Heck the 3 weeks extension of BB8 looked so boring & for most of the part -an annoying stretch.

So i hope makers have a lot of good twists & turns planned for this extension.. & make sure it doesn't get monotonous at any point.

How much SidNaaz and SidRa videos can be made to ontent the fans of Shukla and Rashmi! How many times Shukla will go off on someone obnoxiously only to be defended by the bias? How many times will there be an uprise from Asim, Shefali, Vishal or any other HM that's not among the chosen ones, only to be shunned and ridiculed on the weekends? I mean I am already bored of the one sided game & watch bits & pieces if there's something interesting. 5 more weeks of extension? Sorry can't see any positivity in that.

I'm afraid this season will take the season 8 route and become unbearable. Since there is a chance that Salman won't host for the last 5 weeks, what if they bring Farah as the host? As much as we disagree with his statements and style of hosting he is a 100 times better than Farah. Season 8 me she was busy being a fan girl of Gautam instead of being a host. 🤔

Makers ko jo Sid-Rashmi se nai mila ab vo Vishal-Madhurima se chahiye. Himanshi-Sana ka bahar ka issue bhi bohot zyada mudda nai bana paya to ab ek aur controversy le aayenge. Bahar ke jhagde discuss hote rahe bas yahi chahiye inn logon ko. Vaise hi Vishal kuch khaas kar nai paa raha jo bacha khucha hai vo bhi khatam na ho jaaye uska.

Arhan ke liye to khair rakshas task me jitni respect mili thi vo sab lose karne pe tula hai interviews de deke. Jitne din vo tha utne din Rashmi bhi bacchi bani hui thi, sirf Arhan ka extension ban ke na reh jaaye vo bhi. 😔

Edited to add - Vaise jin contestants ke end tak tikne ke chances hain (Sid, Rashmi, Asim vagerah) vo utne khush nahi lag rhe the extension se jitna ki baaki sab jo probably purane vaale finale ke bhi pehle nikal jaate. 😆

It all depends on the TRP bcz if TRP remained good or increase even further than you might see show getting more extension as Channel colors has a habit to cash on a successful as long as they can until trp low hojaye 😆 so be prepared for it 😉

S8 lost its momentum cos of the extension . Same will happen this season , I just hope Salman stays till the end at least

Next month housemates will be told at midnight that season 13 will keep going all year and merge with season 14 as well new housemates will be added in the 10th padhao of the show 😆

With the nonstop chain-smoking and constant shouting, this show is really taking a toll on uncle's lungs 😆
