Thank you so so much, this was unexpected ❤️🤗

1. Your second last paragraph about the parts of Asim that makes you think Asim is shayad more self-aware and level-headed than Shukla. All the points you listed is beyond enough reason to side with Asim here. Even considering the fact that Shukla has, in the entire month and a half history of this show, NEVER admitted to making a serious mistake. When the whole showdown happened with Asim, even given the clear Weekend bias that everyone is at this point aware of, Shukla should have at least once stopped and considered "Why the hell has my entire team, once the strongest in the house, sided with this guy? Why am I left with just Sana? Is he right here?" But he didn't even entertain that thought (at least visibly). The fact that his real dushmani is with Asim, and yet he never even once went to Shefali or Himanshi or Bhau to at least get their views shows his infinite arrogance. Hell, now he is even mocking Asim as Shefali's poonch. This guy will never stop showing what an absolutely pathetic excuse of a friend he is.

Yes you are right, he surely is. He has taken a stand on so many places when entire house did not. He also keeps apologizing to people of opposite team if he hurt them and asks them if he was wrong. ( Remember on WKW when rashmi said why are you being rude and he sked shukla ki mei zyada rude laga kya? bhag ke aaya tha and stuff, also asked shefali mei kaha galat tha in fight with sid). Yes Sid has not seen them as a friend and rather as his doormats, and I am glad everyone is standing up now.

2. You mentioned it alot in passing, but I think an entire thesis can be written on the effect of Weekend ka Vaar on these people. Its their only contact with the outside world all week, and that too with a heavily produced/scripted Salman getting lines fed to him in his ear. Also, its well known if you watch evictee/reviewer interviews that the weekend episodes are shot in a really horrible, unprofessional, haphazard, wild west way. Contestants are expected to get ready in their best clothes and wait infront of the TV since 10 am, but Salman himself only reaches the studio at 7 ish. (According to Abu and multiple other sources on YouTube) So the build-up is f**king crazy. They don't have to cook etc on weekends either, food comes for them (Shefali B recently disclosed this on YouTube), so all they do is stick around waiting for Salman, who has a horrible reputation of being late to everything ever. So when you FINALLY see a fresh face after a week, that too a megastar who you've been following as a movie fan your whole life, and he gently praises or reprimands you - it has a HUGE effect on you and your game for the coming days. It is for this reason that I have been saying this entire seasons that Shukla should have been given an earful from the very beginning for his own sake. Even when Shukla was wrong (which was almost every week once at least lol), his feedback would always be worded like "how can you be so smart and logical, yet be so aggressive?". Always sugarcoated. So, the man already had a giant ego, plus it kept getting inflated and inflated and inflated and it has reached now where his image is beyond repair.

Yes you are spot on here. It has ruined game of not only Shukla but also Rashmi and gang. They did stand against shukla in the start but with all the jai jaikar of Shukla they stopped and started looking for other trivial things, which only made things worse. I wonder Asim nai hota to this would be totally one sided boring season like the last one.It has also affected Shukla negatively as had he been told he is doing things wrong, he would have changed things, he is great in picking up hints and doing yes yes before salman. Rashmi is toatlly down because of this weekly bashing and COTW, not only made it worse but also made other people in the house to see her as week and started leaving her. ( I remember how Paras and mahira were all behind rashmi initially, they are only siding with debo coz they know they cant butter her up or fool her like they do with rashmi) And I didnt know about how it is shot, no wonder housemates are not in the right state of mind to answer at the end of the day, thank you for clearing that to me 😲

3. (BONUS POINT LOL) 😃 So, this is slightly off-topic but I wanna bring up Sana too while we're on this WKV discussion. The above reason is exactly why Sana has become this completely insufferable immature annoying brat that we see. She is naturally childish and naive, which is often interpreted as cuteness especially for young, attractive girls. When she kept getting this praise again and again and again via Salman (through direct praise, but also through subtle bursts of attention like when he asks her to repeat what he says for comic effect). This is why a 25-year old girl, who presumably is at least a little level-headed since she has a successful career in regional music and modeling, is now acting like a 12-year old obsessed possessive brat who creates dramas and sings bumro bumro, or who gets visibly upset when someone sleeps in her bed for like 10 mins with her 'friend.' WKV episodes are so powerful, and in the very vulnerable position all these people are (locked up in a human zoo for months, missing home, but also the immense pressure of knowing how they come across on camera will make or break their career and they have zero power over how it is edited), it is extremely influential to your self-image, self-worth, and general mental health.

I agree, u know she was the second one after shukla whom I thought I would support after the epi one. She looked like a fresh breeze of Air in all the "high class " sophisticated celebrities. She was cute and funny, proves dont judge a book by its cover. She is only falling low day by day. And I agree, WKW has a huge role in her downfall too. The only time she was bashed is when she left shukla , and since then she is doing everything to be in his good books. Their cringe OTT "romance" is only making this worse. I dont understand someone sane like Shukla never explains things to her and instead listens to what she says. I hope he learns a few good lessons soon. I want that small session where BB shows what other members have been saying about them and want sid to see what she says to khesari and Paras, but again even if they have that soon I am sure they wont show that to Sid coz that will break their bond.TRP hungry people😭

Once again - amazing amazing post! Users like you make this forum such a great platform! <3

Aww thank you so much, I was expecting bashing from Shukla fans or Asim fans. Glad to see users like you who are open to perspectives. Will encourage me to write here more often. thank you for all the motivation and your wonderful insights 🤗

Nicely said. I think an entire post like this can be written purely just about Weekend ka Vaar, and the general effect it has on contestants who don't get to interact with anybody except themselves all week.

And yup, unfortunately, as much as Salman wants to be judge judy and mister moral compass, he probably has the worst reputation out of all the major stars in Bollywood. He is well known for straight-up refusing to give multiple takes, not showing up to rehearsals even though he himself organized it and asked the whole team + director to come simply because he's not in the mood, drinking on set between shots to the point where he can't act anymore, and showing up late to commitments leaving people hanging with nothing to do for hours. Plus, they shoot material for two episodes in a row, so contestants really get done with shooting around 1:30-2 am generally. The next day they get off (in terms of no task, they obviously have to do the housework and if something important happens, camera will catch it). You should check out Shefali B's YouTube channel for these details, its pretty interesting how they have a sort of mini holiday on sundays since all the content is shot on friday for saturday and sunday, so contestants use this time to do stuff like laundry, eyebrows, etc. Pretty interesting how it works behind the scenes heheh. Anyway, this is why I think having Salman as the host is so inappropriate for this show - his whole vibe doesn't fit the idea of the Big Brother concept, which is mostly about a deepdive into human psychology and group dynamics (which you have expertly given an example of in your original post!), and not just fights, fake romances, and cheesy promos with hindi songs that go nowhere. Plus, lets face it, Salman has been so famous for so long that alot of his life is documented: His pettiness with rivals, former episodes of domestic violence, verbal threats, run-ins with the law. The worst one of them all, after his drunk driving incident where he hit some homeless people sleeping on the street, there was even a time period when he (and his team of lawyers and influencers/inner circle) tried to frame a poor driver who was no longer employed by him as being the driver. So its so ironic that out of all the stars in the country, this is the guy who is out here playing judge, shouting at people for moral reasons, talking about defending women's characters, etc. But, kya kare, TRP is TRP - whether its weekday thru Sid or weekend thu Salman. 😆

And I think you're totally right about the Sana situation as well. Colors is really messing up inadvertently with both Sid and Sana. They both (especially Sana) actually have likable personalities outside the pressure of the show. But Sid ka aggression ko subtly appreciate kar kar ke ("Angry Young Man" ) and Sana ki innocent or naiveness ko praise kar kar ke they have led them astray. Anyway, speaking of Shehnaaz, overall I am highly annoyed with her the last few weeks but I think her image can definitely be changed if she just acts her age and finds an identity outside of the Shukla-Paras bubble. But for Shukla, I really feel like his image is beyond repair. Even if he works as an actor after the show, it will now probably be in more aggressive type roles, because in the entertainment business its hard to shake off a reputation.
