After Arhaan's elimination in the last episode, I have been catching up with some of the online channels that 'review' the show. One of the big ones is Manu Punjabi, who even had Arhaan himself on his review episode. One thing he kept saying (that Arhaan did not disagree or interrupt) was how Bigg Boss (aka creative team) might have decided to evict Arhaan so Rashmi can get the fire back that she was showing after re-entering the house which fizzled since. This puts into question the whole voting process, and thus, the whole reality aspect of the show itself. Manu, who himself has been a contestant of the show, saying these things also adds weight.
Plus, Arhaan himself has been very strongly implying that there was a romance angle that he and Rashmi were building up to that got thrown out when he got evicted. If he genuinely liked her and wanted to express it for the first time, I highly doubt he would say it to the media like this, especially where she cant even hear it. It is clear that Rashmi and Arhaan had a rough outline planned of a romance and were heading along in that direction.
Also, the show was pretty transparently running a task where contestants were given tags indicating how much they were contributing to the show. They did mention that the audience had chosen the people for each tag, but its pretty clear here that none of the big online platforms seem to have seen any polls or any in-person/media reports on any survey running. Did they just pick the ones the wanted from their huge bank of audience videos sent in for the other shows like Voot Night and Big Buzz?
So, it begs the question - is voting on taken very seriously?
And if not, what is the point to even have the show revolving around a voting system?
BB always has a clear agenda, and this season it seems to be pro-Shukla. He can bitch about his so called friend, call him names and even push him when he is just trying to settle some issues like anyone would, get overly aggressive and yet never get picked on by Salman, who is happy to embarrass Paras/Mahira for much lesss. But this week's total lack of audience participation integrity is shocking to me.
