I personally feel Romil is a bit drawn towards Jasleen from the beginning till now. The way he takes a stand everytime she ends up crying implies so.
I believe he is currently playing good with Somi, he knows SreePika's group is not a dependable place. He's actually alone and Somi has a soft corner for him. So he speaks up beautufil words to her making her feel guilty.
