I know I should be used to this sort of illogical defending of one's fave, but nonetheless I am always left baffled by such blind worship.

Nobody on that show are saints. In most cases they are all as bad each other. This show has been designed to bring the worst out in people whether it be through manipulations in editing since negative publicity sells more than positive.
In Sree's case he is an arrogant arsehole who thinks he's Gods gift to mankind and there's no two ways about it.The things he's said and done just cannot be justified and also cannot be blamed on selective editing either, cus the things he's spewed are out there for all to see,and it's also come from the horses mouth itself that he said all that out of anger.

Beats me why it's so difficult to call a spade a spade regardless of whom one is supporting.

I'm not of course going to be fine with it, if someone treats me badly. That's human nature. But if that person is more powerful than me, then instead of crying about my sad life, I'll work hard to be at a better place than him. That'll be the real revenge for my insult.

IMHO, people in power have complete right to abuse the weaker person.

Wow shocked to this post by you TM. I have seen your posts on BW forum and I think you are a RK fan and I m also. 😳
OT, when we went to school how would you feel if some rich group of classmates bully you just because you weren't rich but you were doing well in xm? Agree that Sree made his place by his own merit although it is questionable. But is it right to classify people when we all give lecture about discrimination?

If sensible people like us think like this way then discrimination will never removed from society.

In any company/organisation/workplace or even be it being playing the boss in the comfort of one's own home,no employer has the power to mistreat anybody regardless of stature/status.
There is a law that even a king/queen cannot go above.

Yes, I also get that in less developed countries the justice system of the law especially regarding acts of discrimination isn't as reliable, but nonetheless there still is a law implemented in place.

It's not that the boss has the rights,it's more about abusing the power that one may have-That's the difference here!

2)Just by saying that they are equal doesn't make them equal. You don't go around befriending a beggar. Sree is not asking anyone to work for him.

3) Well, you must be quite unique then. Other contestants are not Sree's property that he will "treat" them. If Deepak, Romil, Surbhi care so much about their self-respect then they should first stop being a loser by using him to get footage.

Even if Sree has superiority complex because of his money and status, it's again earned by him only. So what's wrong if he has arrogance for that. Who is a better person, that is up for debate, but who has more money, we can know that by their bank balance.

@bold - that makes no sense - when I say "treat", I mean how he behaves with people.

They may not be equal to you, as people - but in the context of this show, regardless of BB and Sallu playing favourites, they are all contestants there, and hence on equal footing. Neither is anyone a beggar there, nor is Sree asked to befriend anyone - just as it's anyone's choice whether they want to befriend him.

I suppose it boils down to what one finds an attractive and admirable quality. Some will find Sree's arrogance, his belittling of people because they have less than him both his earned right and an attractive facet of his personality. Some will find crass language and insults on the part of commoners attractive, because they attack the celebs.

I find neither attractive - on the contrary, I find both pretty deplorable. I don't agree with the school of thought that money and power earn people the right to abuse those who have less - that, I think, is much of what is wrong with the world today. And I don't think I'm unique in this viewpoint - there are plenty who will and do agree, just as I'm sure there are plenty who would agree with you.

Fair enough it is your opinion, but I can never see it that way or agree with it.
I for one believe people should all be treated equally regardless of class/status/stature.
And I do not believe that only people with a huge bank balance have the power to do as they please.
Power is all in the mind,in one's belief in themselves and in one's voice/opinions/ideas.
Even a pauper can reach great heights because- when there is a will there is a way!

When one has a voice and when one fears none- the sky's the limit!
