After candidates are selected narrative is set in place from the word go according to who these candidates are.
BB team then selects roles that they deem fit for these candidates. The main protagonist and antagonist are zeroed in on from the start. Then the manipulations and fabricated scenarios in tasks that are injected during the course of the show are used to work in favour of their chosen one's.

The theme is always good vs evil just like in any movie or book.Rest are all supporting cast to keep the script momentum going. But there is always a sidey or two that get the major sidey roles, the one's who help the chosen one's winning chances and stage set for garnering the main limelight alive.(whether that's in negative or positive light)

These sidey's are also put on stand by or shall I say as subs just incase anything goes wrong with chosen one or there's a major cock-up of set script-then these sideys are crowned as the winner.

In case scenario of this season-

Chosen one-Didi
Major sidey(Standby-sub) Bhaiiyaji.

But one has to also keep in mind that these major sidey circuit Bhaiiyaji types seldom ever do get to taste the crowing glory.(Sidey's are sidey's after all)

BB will by hook or crook turn things in favour of their initial main chosen one-Didi.

And I couldn't have put it any better - Dumb and dumber Shaz, you and me - remember? 😆

BB has a narrative - every damn season - and they do all and sundry to shove that narrative down our throats, by editing, whitewashing, defending, and what have you. Like you said - there's a hero(ine) and a villain or villains. Phir hero/heroine kitne bhi khud evil aur ghatiya soch wale ho, crap kare aur bole, they will try to present them otherwise. And vice versa for the chosen bad guy. And you're on point with the side characters too - very much needed for use and throw.

For me, it's as NP said above - the idea of reality shows, and in particular this concept is to show us all sides, as far as possible, of a contestant - and do this through tasks and situations that shake up dynamics, as opposed to shitty editing, and most importantly through as much fairness and equality as possible - and then let us decide for ourselves.

And what I still fail to get, even now, is why that's so difficult for the makers to do? Why is it so important for them to push a narrative? I get that some bias is inevitable - in favour of content-givers over free loaders - but they have always gone far and beyond that. Kya ho jayega if they simply let it be, and let whoever wins win? Beats me.

Haha. How can I foget lol.
You were dumb, and I was dumber. 😆
Don't think much has changed on that front with time either. 😆
And thanks to this season's mindless twists, turns and all the failed spanners that BB are trying their level best to throw in just to favour the chosen ones, I've got no grey matter or the drive left whatsoever to even attempt at dissecting this season's blatantly scripted malarkey on a serious level.

Especially this season has become a right joke.
From past few seasons there's no reality left at all on BB anymore. It can only be called scripted reality.

The show has truly lost the essence of the original format of it being a social experiment where a bunch of people are put under different mentally, physically strenuous scenario's to evoke certain desired reactions. Yes, there is manipulation from BB even in its original format but that's only to see how each individual reacts under these fabricated situations(such as tasks mainly) and how they go on about it to come out on top of things and victorious in every given situation.
Its supposed to be all about the mental strength(that is the key) as that's the name of the game. Also helps when characters have a great personality to go with the mental side of things too.

The person that had the mental strength this season Neha gets booted out. 🤪Just cus she had become possible threat to their chosen one.

Also no outside feedback or interaction with outside world is allowed in original format but here Bolly stars come to do nach gaana inside the house, Contentestants Mama Mami, nana naani, bhai behen, kuttta, billi, Padosan... basically all and sundry come to give feedback, advocate or give support in some way.
In short-yaha toh sab kuch allowed hai.

What's the need to be even locked up in a goddamn House then?

In the UK format and other BB's abroad there is no connection with outside world whatsoever, so contestants don't even have any inkling at all on what us going on in the outside.
The host comes once a week speaks to the house only to announce who the evicted contestant is. This is done from outside the house itself with a crowd, and this crowd noise is played into the house. It is only from the boos and cheers they get a little idea of whether they are being liked or not by audiences. That's it.
No other connection or feedback from outside world.

Anyways, after all the complaints and rants I am still watching every season lol.
Guess I must be really sad and have no life. 😆

Oh Jesus! Looks like I got carried away and this has actually turned out to be quite a long abba dabba jabba of a sermon as well. 😆

Well that's your POV

I don't think my conclusion is far from off the mark.
But let's see, only time will tell.
Also don't forget that your khulasas this season have been way off the mark too.
Neha-Ring a bell ? 😆

And thank you for bestowing me with the honours of your like on my post. I am chuffed! 😳

" Romil was continuously spraying room freshener on her face and finally it was BB who had to intervene and tell Romil to stop. She thought this would be taken up during WKW, but only after coming out she realized it wasn't even shown. And that would make HMs taking Romil's name for kaal kothri understandable. But since it wasn't shown many ppl felt Romil was sent due to bhedchaal and in fact Salman too tried to show it that way."

So in other words BB creates suspense, drama. We felt bad for Romil that's how BB wanted us to feel about him. But the turth was something else. So how can we now say that the winners are actually the real winners? BB is the one confusing us and playing with our emotions toward housemates as he please. kaun sachs hai kaun jhoot hai pata he nahi lugta.. edit hota hai sab.. and we are left guessing and assuming more than half of the time.
