PART 17

The next day, both Armaan and Bharti took the day off to spend it with Jiya. They caught up with all the activities they had missed out on due to their busy work schedule. They went shopping for Jiya, they watched the latest movie, had lunch at Jiya's favourite restaurant and then spent the rest of the afternoon on the beach. Jiya played in the water, they built sand castles, ate ice-cream and watched the beautiful sunset. The day reminded Bharti of the first time they had spent the day together and it brought a smile to her face. She realised that she had many many beautiful memories with Jiya and even Armaan now and she would never forget them. They got home quickly and Bharti helped Jiya pack her bags to go with Tamanna, while Armaan sat chatting with Aman and Tamanna on the balcony.

Bharti: "Okay, so is everything packed now?"

Jiya: "Yes Bharti Mama, all done. "

Bharti: "Oh Jiya, I'm going to miss you so very much."

And that Bharti pulled Jiya into her arms and hugged her tight. She kissed her on the forehead and then let go, but Jiya continued to snuggle close to her.

Jiya: "I know Bharti Mama, I'm going to miss you a lot too, but you have Dada to keep you company...."

Bharti: "Excuse me little miss Jiya, and why exactly are you winking at me?"

Jiya: "Well, won't this be the first time you and Dada will be alone since you two got married, I mean I have always been around and you'll didn't even go on your honeymoon..."

Bharti: "Um...well yes it will be the first time..."

Jiya:(giggling) "Mama, why do you look so scared? My Dada doesn't bite!"

Bharti: (quietly to the side)"I wouldn't put it past him..."

Jiya: "Did you say something?"

Bharti: "No nothing, just wondering if your Dada knows just how grown up you are..."

Jiya: "I think he is in denial...Mama, you always treat me like a friend, but I'm always a baby to Dada!"

Bharti: "And you always will be! His 'Bacha'!"

Jiya: (slightly irritated)"Mama!"

Bharti started to tickle Jiya until she couldn't take it anymore.

Bharti: "Waise, it doesn't matter who I have, no one can take my princess's place!"

Jiya: "Aw Mama, you're very sweet."

Bharti: (laughed)"Not as sweet as you......And what is this Jiya? Why do you look so sad now?"

Jiya: "I'm sad because I'm going to be missing your birthday and it was supposed to be your first birthday with all of us together as a family."

Bharti: "Aw it's okay, don't worry about it, if you want we can celebrate again when you come back, I can postpone my birthday celebrations for you!"

Jiya: "No no no, don't postpone it, we can just celebrate again, you know, double celebrations...."

Bharti: "Okay, anything for you!"

Jiya: "Waise, I do have a gift for you, can I give it to you now?"

Bharti: "Oooh, of course you can. What is it, what is it?"

Jiya giggled at Bharti and told her that she was acting just like Jiya and her friends whenever they recieve gifts. Jiya gave her the small gift and Bharti eagerly, yet carefully opened it. Bharti was really touched by the gift. It was a beautiful glass frame that had Jiya and Bharti's photograph in it. It had the most beautiful border of flowers and butterflies engraved in it and with the photo, at the bottom of the frame was an engraved message. It read:

Bharti: (Smiling through her tears and pulling Jiya into a hug again)"Oh Jiya, I really love it, it's the most beautiful gift I have ever received and I will treasure it forever."

Jiya: "I'm so happy that you like it, I wasn't sure if I could get it ready for you before I left."

Bharti: "Oh, did your Dada help you?"

Jiya: "No, he doesn't know anything about it. Tamanna Aunty helped me get this together."

Bharti: "Well, I know my birthday will be very special and it's all because of this gift. Thank you so so much Jiya! Love you my princess."

Jiya: "Love you too Mama."

Jiya then went to Armaan who was calling for her, leaving Bharti to admire her gift. Just then Tamanna came in and sat down next to her.

Bharti: (Smiling)"Hey Tamz, how are you feeling? I still find it so strange that this morning sickness doesn't just happen in the mornings..."

Tamanna: (Laughing slightly)"I'm feeling much better now. I know, I hope it subsides soon and I do hope I can make it through the traveling okay."

Bharti: "I'm sure you'll be fine...By the way, thank you so much for helping Jiya with this gift, it's just so thoughtful."

Tamanna: "You like?"

Bharti: (absolutely beaming with happiness)"I love it."

Tamanna: "I'm glad, waise I'm sad that we won't be with you for your birthday..."

Bharti: "I know, I'll be all alone..."

Tamanna: "How will you be alone? Armaan will be here. So what are the plans, huh? First time alone, will you'll be having a long romantic weekend? So ideal for your birthday, you two will have the whole house to yourselves.....(nudging and winking to Bharti)"

Bharti: "No no, nothing of the sort...Not even sure what I'll be doing for my birthday..."

Tamanna: "Well you have two days to plan something, and what is this?! No plans for your time alone, do I need to go speak to my bro, he can be so slow at times!"

Bharti: "No please don't. Don't give him any more ideas...."

Tamanna: "Acha, so my bro is quite the flirt, huh? Well it is about time. You two should really enjoy this time together, it's just the time of this carefree love. Somehow the time for love just decreases after a while, what with work and all the other hectic situations. Now with the baby, I know Aman and I won't be spending as much time together, but then again I know this baby will bring us closer than ever."

Bharti: "Aw, that's very sweet. I'm so happy for you."

Tamanna: "Yeah, so it will be your turn next, will you be giving me good news by the time I get back?"

Bharti: (blushing profusely)"Tamanna!! What are you....you're only going for like 3 days..."

Tamanna: "So?!(smiling at how Bharti is still feeling so shy and uncomfortable) Okay, I will stop teasing you, you'll have plenty of time, but I do hope my little baby will have another baby to play with growing up."

Bharti: "The baby will have Jiya!"

Tamanna: "You know what I mean!"

Bharti: (smiling)"No, I haven't a clue."

And with that Bharti walked out before Tamanna could tease her anymore.

The next day Armaan and Bharti saw Aman, Tamanna and Jiya off. They intended driving, even though it would take longer, it would be more enjoyable and better for Tamanna.

Armaan: "Man, I'm really going to miss her."

Bharti: (putting her hand on Armaan's shoulder)"Yeah, me too. But she'll be back before you know it."

Armaan: (smiling and happy that Bharti was trying to reassure him)"So what do you want to do tonight? It'll be just us......Woah, no no, don't worry, I didn't mean it like that, there are no hidden connotations to that."

Bharti: "Okay good, well...um..I don't know. We're getting late for work, lets just decide tonight."

Armaan: "Sounds good."

Both of them got ready and headed to MU. When the day was over they got back home and tried to decide what to do. They finished a bit early and were not tired. They decided not to go watch a movie or go to the beach, as it would just remind them of Jiya.

Bharti: "I know! Lets go to a club, it's been a really long time. "

Armaan: "Yeah, it has been a while. Okay get ready and we will do that after supper."

They went to one of the newest clubs that had opened recently and they had a super time. They enjoyed the atmosphere, the drinks, the music... everything. Bharti completely let go of herself and felt much more relaxed than usual. She enjoyed herself and didn't even mind dancing with Armaan. After a while though, Armaan decided he wanted to leave as it was getting quite late and also he didn't really like the fact that Bharti was spending most of her time dancing with all the ladies in the club. He found it amusing at first and then he just couldn't understand it.

The next day passed as usual and Bharti and Armaan didn't do anything special. They just stayed at home and watched some dvd's. After a while Armaan excused himself, saying that he had some important work to take care of. Bharti didn't think much of it and just waited for him to come back. But it got really late and Bharti was very tired, so she decided to go to sleep. But just as she was getting ready for bed she had an unexpected visitor.

Bharti: "Well well well, it has been a while Mr KK, so what good news do you bring for me?"

KK: "Oh Bhaskar, the sarcasm never ends with you. I was just missing you, so I thought I'd drop by?"

Bharti: "Really now?"

KK: "Yes, so how are things going with you and your goal?"

Bharti: "What goal? Oh, that..."

KK: "Yes that... did you forget? At least I see things are moving along. Things will definitely be changing in the near future, you will have to deal with many new situations"

Bharti: "And problems?"

KK: "Well maybe, time will tell and also how you deal with things..."

Bharti: "Right, more good news...thanks KK. Can I go to sleep now, please?!"

KK: "Yes, sure. Goodnight, oh and Happy Birthday for tomorrow, I'm sure it will be a day to remember..."

Bharti: "What do you mean? What's going to happen? KK!? KK!?"
