Aamir Ali's Visa denied. Here is the article. The link is

Aamir Ali had applied for a Canadian visa three weeks back. On Monday, he learnt that he was being denied entry to the country. He was to go there for a show with other TV actors who left last night.

Aamir Ali and Sanjeeda Sheikh

He claims that he was denied a visa because of a passport fraud. It blames a freak incident that took place in 2001 as the reason the authorities rejected his application.

What criminal record?
Aamir says, "I was informed that I was being denied a visa because of a criminal record on my passport. I was shocked because I have travelled around the world and not faced this problem before. The thought that he was being denied entry into Canada because of his religion did cross his mind, "Yes, that was my initial reaction. But then Sanjeeda (Sheikh) as well as Rakshanda (Khan) didn't have issues, so obviously there had to be another reason."

Things became clear when the visa officers asked him if he'd travelled to the country in 2001. "I hadn't been to Canada in 2001. They informed me that I had a problem with the law in that year, which was quite strange."

Misused document
Aamir later realised that in 2001 he had handed his passport to a show organiser, who later told him it was lost. "This guy Nandu Tolani had my passport because he was applying for a visa for my travel for a music video shoot.

One day he came to me and said he'd lost my passport, and I applied for a new one. The Canadian authorities informed me that my passport was misused by someone to get into their country by illegal means."

Now, Ali has contacted the Canadian Prime Minister's office and sought permission from them to attend the event. "I now realise how valuable and important a document like a passport is and how it can be misused so easily. However, I will get a chance to travel to the country."

Well, you can't blame Canadian authorities...after 9/11, and after the comment by the US parliament member about Canada not having any immigration policy at all...Canada has made it hard to enter the country...Especially if you have a problem with your passport...If the passport was missing, it should have been reported to the authorities right away, so that all the other people could have been informed... they might even give that in the paper, and issue a new passport so, that other one automatically becomes invalid, and no one else can use it...This is the obligation of every citizen in every country...Oh well, take care...

Sadly we all face hardship to enter countries nowadays, it part and parcel of this world, cause of a few mindless idiots who want to terrorise the world, millions others have to suffer. A passport is one of the most valuable documents a person holds.
