Now not many shall be aware of Chittor siege and that Jaimal and Patta were the leaders and they held the fort for 6 months against a mighty Mughal army
But I am surprised that here Pratap is shown as commander who held fort and made all decisions. Pratap was a great warrior and King but why give him credit for something he did not do?
Where are jaimal and patta?
Why are they not making any decisions? Why are they not leading Mewars fight?
Why is Pratap still in the fort? And why is ajabde still there?
Why cannot makers just give credit of this war to Jaimal and patta as they truly desrve this?
In many states Pratap and Chittor siege is not taught in syllabus so many will assume this serial story as true.
What next ajabde shall do jauhar and Akbar shall hit Pratap with his rifle and win war? How much can they distort history?
How shall Pratap and ajabde leave fort surrounded by all 4 sides by Mughal army?

All valid and insightful points. Alas the outcome portrayed is quite distorted.

Absolutely. Well said and totally agree. Many share youd views. And worse, In the name of herofication of Pratap they are only showing him weak in this track.

Where history has so much details and its thrilling by itself, they should have portrayed as is. Why this mess in the name of NR?

And importantly, its heights of distortion. Jaimal is standing and Patta is not even there. I really wish they show these two heroes properly in the coming episodes and do justice.

Yup! I can't wait to see these two brave men in action...CVs better do justice to their characters! They are the true heroes of this siege!

I'm surprised historians or activists haven't protested as I heard they did with another historical show. Even adding a disclaimer doesn't solve the issue. History is meant to be shared and folks learn from them. It should be respected. Alas the PH has its own definition of History.

So true Jaz. Even I had wondered why no protests during an earlier MP track also. These PHs are writing their own history. Thanks to Abhay we get a lot of insights. Otherwise imagine people who are going to believe these as true. The same happening in the other show also which I quit a year back as it was unbearable.

I share the same view. The shows do a great disservice to our history and its heroes. Why can they just not present it as we know it to be true? Why the distortion is felt necessary?

100% agree with _Jaz that a disclaimer is not enough, a view that I have also voiced myself in the past.
