Pratap was pacing up and down in his room. He had not even snapped an eyelid on seeing the worst enemies but now his wife was making him all tensed and stressed. 'A lady actually defeated me' he thought. Well, the maharana of mewar was stressed because his wife was not ready to leave the palace since her sisters-in-law had requested her to stitch some fine dupattas for them He was never so angry on maan and chaand. All his preparations were ready. Only pratap and ajabde were left to complete the scene. And now his wife was not cooperating.'She is so smart in political matters and household issues. But at recognizing her husband's love and desire for her, she'll keep all the things before it. No, i'm not gonna leave her this time. She has to come with me. It's time for shaktipradarshan'. He thought about it and smiled evilly.

Ajabde was busy stitching the dupatta for her loving sisters-in-law. At that time, she felt someone's intense gaze on her back. She ignored it for mere delusion. But then the feeling got intense. She turned back and so no one. She went to check the curtains and also towards the balcony. No one was there. Just when she was about to turn, a strong hand held her waist. She was about to scream when another hand covered her mouth. The person pulled her more towards him giving her a closer look of his face. Ajabde saw her captor and became a little calm knowing that he was none other than her husband. She wanted to speak something.

Pratap: What are you trying to say ajabde?

Ajabde pointed to his hand on her mouth. He realized their position and uncovered her mouth.

Ajabde: What kind of a behaviour is this kp? What if anyone sees? This is not a way to act. You should know...

Pratap quietened her by kissing her passionately. Ajabde, shocked initially comprehended the situation and gave in. After they broke. Ajabde gave him a questioning look. Pratap smirked.

Pratap: Ajabde what should i do? You have all the time for everyone in the family but for your husband. IT's such a rare occassion that ranima declares avkash. I wanted to spend the day with you. Even i sent that phool away. And you had indulged yourself in serving everyone but me. So now you'll get the punishment.

Ajabde: What punishment?

Pratap: You'll have to come with me.

Ajabde: Where?kp i cannot come now i have to stitch...

Before she completed her sentence. Kp lifted her and placed her on his shoulders(the way ravana had kidnapped sita).

Ajabde: What are you doing Kp? Put me down. NOW

Pratap: No i won't. This time u can't escape me.

Ajabde: But i have work and moreover ranima...

Pratap: Her permission is taken and my sisters won't mind if they get their presents later.

Ajabde: Somebody will see us.

Pratap: That is why we'll be going from the balcony. Chetak is waiting for us.

Ajabde: NO kp i'm not coming. leave me. put me down. ugh

pratap: you don't have a choice. Even if you scream no one will come since i've removed them. And even if anyone comes, you'll be badle embarassed. So kindly cooperate.

He began climbing down the rope through which he had come. Being a well-built warrior, climbing down the rope was not difficult for him inspite of the continuous nagging of ajabde.

' You'll pay for all this ajabde' he thought. Finally he go down and place ajabde on chetak. 'Chetak is a good pal. Or else, he would never have let anyone sit on him other than me' he thought. Then, he sat on the horse with a frowning ajabde in front of him. After some moments of silent riding,

Pratap: Must say you look very good even when you are angry

Ajabde: Oh really! Thank you but i'm not going to melt. What kind of a behaviour is this? Kidnapping your wife in the night between her work and then going for riding?

Pratap: Why what's wrong with it? You don't want to spend time with me?

Ajabde: No i want to but...

Pratap: No buts ajabde. Till what time you'll shield your inner wishes for the happiness of others? Atleast for sometime, we can always be just husband and wife, actually lovers to be more precise.

Ajabde nodded and blushed at the last remarks. Pratap smiled at her blush. They both entwined their hands and pratap kept their entwined hands on the front side of her waist while ajabe leaned back on his broad chest o get some support. Both were lost in each other, reminiscing their presence and the essence of being together. Their silence was speaking volumes. Just then, they arrived at the fixed location. Pratap helped ajabde get down from chetak. As soon as she got down, she got spell bound by the location.

The whole place was like a lush meadow with a pond in the middle. The pond was dotted with white lilies and the edges were peppered with sparsely grown algae. There was a wooden set up on the edge of the pond. It had two wooden stools and a central table in it. ( They had the shape of broken trunk of a tree but cut very finely and having a smooth edge) The whole set up was getting brushed by the soothing winds which blew the white curtains around them in haywire directions. The pond also had beautiful white swans which were engrossed in the world of their own. There were fireflies all over complementing with the moonlight that lit dimly the whole atmosphere. Ajabde was dumbstruck by the beautiful scene. She loved swans and the fireflies. Kp had done all that for her. FOR HER. The mere thought got butterflies in her stomach. Kp whispered in her air, blowing air actually,'Did you like it?'

Ajabde was still in a trance. She was transfixed by the nature's beauty. However, gathering her senses, she said,'I love it'.

Pratap held her hand and asked her,'So should we explore the place more?' Ajabde looked at him with a wide smile plastered on her face, her genuine and beautiful smile which illuminated the atmosphere more than the moonlight. They moved forward slowly taking their own time to take in the scenery. Just then, a rabbit came in front of them. Ajabde became very happy. She leaned down and picked it up, caressing it softly. She exclaimed,'How beautiful it is! (talking about rabbit). Pratap was staring at her lighted face and said,'Yes, very beautiful indeed'(talking about ajabde). She looked at him and upon understanding the actual person of appreciation, blushed a little.

Pratap: Ajabde look at the other edge of the pond

When she looked, she became delighted.'Peacocks!' she exclaimed. Ajabde loved birds and peacocks and swans were her favourites. And here, both of them were present. So happy she was. Her smile was somewhat converting into laughter when she saw the swans entwine their necks commemorating their mating season. The peacocks were having an a capella which added to the unsung melody of the night. 'they look so beautiful' she said. Pratap remarked smartly,'So do we' making her blush harder. Ajabde was watching the fireflies display their light patterns in the sky which overwhelmed her. She tried to catch her but could not. Kp took her hand by her elbow and made it stretch straight with his hand below hers. Some fireflies came and sat over her hand making her very delighted. How pratap loved her simplicity and innocence! She never liked material gifts. Instead, she found happiness in small and simple things like this. And her smile was priceless which could make anyone melt. No, not anyone, only him because she was his. ONLY his. Ajabde turned towards him and said,'I loved the place kp. But what was the need for all this?'

Pratap: Ajabde i knew you were very disturbed by my second marriage and some mere physical moments could not erase them completely. That is why i planned all this since you actually experience peace in nature and all your insecurities go away in nature's solace. And anyways i could not control my sheer lust from the time i saw you in my second mariage. I mean you looked so stunning and appealing.' Pratap winked at her.

Ajabde simply smiled trying to cover her red cheeks but failing miserably at it. Pratap proceeded towards the sitting area but ajabde insisted on sitting on the cool swaying grass that clutched the earth like a blanket. Ajabde sat with her legs folded sideways while pratap kept his head on her lap. Both pf them had their hands entwined. Ajabde was busy seeing the swans and the peacocks showcasing their beauty to grab attention while pratap was staring at her illuminated face. Ajabde felt his stare and then said,'Kp why are you staring at me like this? Has my face got something which has to be known?' Pratap said,'Yes. Your smile which is incredibly pretty'

Ajabde: Kp...

She was literaly blushing badly. He got up a little and captured her lips in a passionate kiss.

Pratap: Ajabde you know you look very cute when you get jealous.

Ajabde: Jealous and me! No ways. why will i get jealous?

Pratap: Oh yeah! So u wer not jealous when phool tried to get intimate with me?

Ajabde: I don't know about it...

Pratap: Oh really? then how come your payal was left at my window just before you went for a bath. He took out the payal

Ajabde: I don't know how the payal came there. She was totally embarassed since she was caught red handed.

Pratap: I'm a warrior ajabde and i can see everything around me very nicely. You think i din't notice you?

Ajabde: Yeah ur right. But how can i see you with another girl? You are mine...

She bit her lip for the last line she said. Pratap got up and sat beside her. He whispered huskily

'And so are you. MINE. It will always be you ajabde. No one can ever take your place.

With that, he hugged her which was met with equal favour. That night not only all the slightest doubts were removed, but also two more souls appreciated the mating season just like the swans. It was as if the nature itself wanted them to start a new chapter in their lives. They both sat together rejoicing in each other's presence with only one thing for each other IT WILL ALWAYS BE YOU

So guys this marks the end of my first story on this wonderful forum. Thank you for all the appreciation. I had a surprise for you'll which i had planned to post tonight but since i'm damn sleepy i'll post it tomorrow. Hope you'll will like my future works also😊
