There was was a chapter about the fight with afghans but I think I deleted it By mistake. Basically, pratap goes into the gorilla warfare mode and defeats the afghans valiantly.
He then thinks about the plan of ajabde and he wants to make sure that she does not go against the king.
Chapter Two: Untold Truth
Scene one
A few days later, pratap asked chakrapani to bring in a court order to declare ajabde as traitor. So that the people will stop thinking about rebelling against the king.
This will break their morale. Once they see their queen being sentenced to life in prison.
The news of afghan attacking bijolia had spread to chittor. Rana Uday Singh listened to the events narrated by chakrapani. He realized that someone at the court was trying to cheat them and by breaking bijolia away they wanted to make his empire weak. Rani dheer Bai taking advantage of the situation once again put the entire blame on ajabde. She gave the proof of pratap declaring her as a traitor. Rana udai Singh was enraged at this and he declared that Ajabde was to put to death.
With this drastic news , chakrapani arrived at pratap's door and told him about the Kings orders.
Nahi. Mrityu dand? Lekin humnay tho ye nahi Chah tha.
He painfully recounted all the moments he had with ajabde. No, she does not deserve to die. They were left with no one and she must have acted out due to lack of support. In his heart he started to feel guilty for being so rash in his judgement.
Was it not his fault that she was left stranded in the first place and had to face the threat of afghans. If chittor had not ignored bijolia this would have not happened in the first place.
Desperately he looked around to find solace in this situation.
The news of ajabdes execution date reached the raj mahal.
Patta and Hansa were enraged by the decision and decided that if the daughter of bijolia were to be hanged then they will also join in with them as they were also part of this so called conspiracy.
Nahi ma. Shayad ranaji sahih keh rahe hain. Humnay hi kuch Galat Kiya hoga. Aur vaise bhi, hum per unka pura adhikar hai.
Agar kuwar pratap ok bhi Yehi lag tha hai tho teek hai. Hum Tayyar hain.
Hansa was not ready to accept her decision. But ajabde told her that her responsibility also lies with Balwant, her son.
Hansa fell down crying at ajabdes feet while she walked away towards the garden.
Pratap managed to run towards the palace hoping to catch ajabde and help her. No matter what he would not let her die. Not this way. Yes she was wrong but death was not acceptable to him..
While rushing towards the palace he saw patta's jija strolling worriedly. He did not know how to face her. She of all people loved ajabde and was most Loyal to her. The news must be devastating to her.
He changed his path and ran towards her.
Aap yahan Kiyun aye hain asked ajabde coldly.
Main Voh ajabde..
Ajabde looked at him surprised. This was the first time he had taken her name. Though she was doubtful if he was referring to her.
Ajabde? She asked questionably
Baijilal he responded irritated.
Aapo kaise pata ki ajabde hi baijilal hai she asked yet again. But she was sure now that he did not know that she was ajabde.
Mujhe abhi pata Chala hai. Ye sahih nahi hai. Ajabde ke liye, ithni Badi saza?
Aap ajabde ka naam math lijiye. Vaise bhi aapko tho kushi hi hogi na. Ve tho aapkay anusar rajdrohi hi thi.
Pratap wanted to explain but ajabde silenced him with her hand.
Humnay bhi ye tai Kiya hai ki hum ajabde Kay sath rahengay.
Kya matlab hai aapka asked pratap worriedly
Agar ajabde desh drohi hai tho hum bhi. Isiliye patta aur Maine ye Tay Kiya hai ki , vidhroh tho hum bhi kerna Chathay thay, isiliye, mrityu dand Kay bagidhari hum bhi hain.
Nahi, ye hum nahi Honnay dengay. Shouted pratap.
Aap kon hothay hain ? Started ajabde. She did not look at him there were tears in her eyes. But without saying anything further she left Pratap at his misery.
This cannot be happening. What did I do?
Pratap could not feel his fingers. He was numb all over, because of his haste two loyal people , two most loved people in bijolia were going to die.
He had to stop this, no matter what. He would go back to chittor if necessary and speak with his dajiraj and get his decision reversed. He will plead with him but he just could not let this happen.
Scene two
Pratap reached chittor and pleaded with rana Uday Singh to change his verdict. But upon rani dheer bais insistence, Uday Singh refused to make any changes saying that in doing so people would say that just because the traitor was from their household, they withheld the punishment and would declare him as an unjust king.
But Uday Singh did promise him to award the two warriors who had helped bijolia and granted permission to pratap to save them at any cost.
With this pratap returned to bijolia. Every moment had become burdensome on him. He wanted to see ajabde and apologize for his haste. But it was too late now.
Yes he did not love her as he once loved her but , still she was his wife. But where was he when she needed him?
Now upon her nearing death sentence he is realizing what mistakes he had done? Yes she was wrong but, he was also wrong. Only if he could tell her now, that he was sorry for the things turning out this way.
He ran to find patta and found him sitting with his JIJA at his house.
He informed them how he had peladed to the court to let ajabde go but they would not agree and told them about the Kings reasoning.
To this ajabde felt a bit happier and to Pratap's amazement replied..
Chalo ye acha hua ki , mrityu dand Kay vajay sey hi sahi, unko yaad tho aya ki ajabde unkay ghar ki bahu hai.. There was so much bitterness in her voice that pratap remained speechless. He could not come back with any defensive remark for his family.
Patta calmy said how he will never abandon his baijilal.
Puri zindagi unhay bas logon Chora hai.
Pehlay, kuwar pratap
Phir unka Sasra
Phir unkay daata
...
Main nahi chorunga unka saat. Said patta looking directly at ajabde. Tears came from his eyes and from the eyes of ajabde.
Pratap cursed himself and looked devastated. It was happening because of him. Why did he not keep his mouth shut?
How loyal they were to give up their lives for ajabde, and refusing to abandon her when , it was his family and him who had abandoned her.
Guilt came crushing in his heart.
He walked towards the door looking at patta and his jija ' perhaps for the last time. He knew that they would never accept the offer from his king. They would prefer to die than abandon their baijilal
