Yeah, Hiru. Nur Jahan and her daughter, Ladli (from her first husband) served as ladies-in-waiting to Ruqu for 4 years after the death of NJ's husband. NJ needed protection at the Mughal court cause she was in danger as her husband had been killed amid a lot of political intrigues. Ruqu being Hindal Mirza's daughter, the most senior woman in the harem and being Akbar's chief wife was the most capable of providing her that protection. NJ was not a daasi... She was more like Ruqu's personal assistant. Ruqu developed a great affection for her and NJ too thought of her as her mother so they had a great relationship which lasted till Ruqu's death.

When NJ was escorting Ruqu at the Nauroz festival that was where Jahangir proposed to her. And well we all know what happened then...😆😆 Jahangir was a tharki from the start only...😆😆 He was always very incompetent... NJ was the power behind the throne

interesting...nur jahaan is like a bible for our modern day politicians...she was very shrewd, astute and knew all the cards of politics very well...she almost quasi ruled the empire, while jehangir was drowning in opium and alcohol addiction...or she made him an addict to it...who knows...

No no guys... Shah Jahan was Arjumand's first and only husband... These are just hearsay things that have been spread on IF. SJ didn't kill anyone to marry MM.
