i'm kinda dissatisfied with the teachings of gurudev. When you are reaching someone, dat doesn't means you can't appreciate at all.. Sometimes appreciations are needed for moral boost up of a child, i feel gurvdev must be little lenient now. And about shakti, yes he collaborated with akbar but couldn't endure what akbar was planning against pratap and his reign so he told all the truth to pratap.. I find shakti loyal to motherland, though he was diverted but he came back. I don't know if my assumptions abt shakti are right or not, i'll be in need of some facts abt history to make me clear, but overall i can say that subah ka bhula agr sham ko wapas aa jaye to use bhula nahi kehte

You know how gurus can be, either they are too strict or no good at least when it comes to Indians lol! I have always seen it with dance teachers, if you do well they will say good and move on 😕
So I am not expecting Raghvendra to be lenient now, maybe later when pratap conquers his weaknesses, I know Gurudev can see his potential but he is trying to bring it out and his weaknesses along with that!

hey thanks for reply. My question to you is whats wrong in being kind and generous? A king can be brutal to his enemies, but if he is kind towards his countrymen whats the need to change his personality? I agree he needs to increase his concentration level and never should get affected by his emotions, but whats d need of such tough training which changes his real personality, we have already seen the transition from shishya pratap to veer pratap when he got to know about real face of bashar khan. Had he been really emotionally weak, then after learning about truth of bashar khan he might have broken down, but he fought bravely with him. That itself proved dat pratap is very strong and is not lead by emotions against his enemy.
I just read ur topic and i've reserved a reply, i'll be replying soon on it. Sry i wasn't much active when you made it, but the topic is great for discussion

Pari..
thanks for the reply..
i did not mean that way..
Nothin wrong being kind and generous towards people...
I meant...in war...if something is distracting...his attention will go there and at that very moment...enemy will cut his neck...Thats what i am saying...
Both incidents...are different..yesterday he was fighting...his friend was in pain..
The example i gave...when he was competing with shakti...it was not about his friend's pain or hurt..soemthing dropped and his attention went there and he lost the bet...

I got ur point diamondlife i wish to see pratap as perfectionist but sometimes guruji's words tear my heart apart. I can't see lil pratap in pains. Wish he wins challenge tomorrow and is made successor of throne

I actually feel a little bad for Shakti and all the younger sons in general. In those days, the oldest son was given everything, the best training, the most love, the inheritance, the love of all people, etc. It's pretty normal to feel jealous. And the way Udai treated his mother disrespectfully would hurt anyone. In some senses, he just wants to be given a chance to shine, a chance to be appreciated. With the way Shakti has been portrayed, I think if Shakti was appreciated as much as Pratap and continually acknowledged for his good things, and his mother not treated so badly, he wouldn't be so resentful. After all, kids don't grow up evil and selfish, they are moulded into that.
And regarding Pratap and his Guru ji, sometimes I feel as if the Guru ji is unnecessarily strict with Pratap. I mean he's definitely mellowed down a lot since the beginning, but still. But I guess it's good that it motivates Pratap.

On another note, I wonder if this show will take a leap in the near future because Pratap was 20+ when his dad died and made his brother the crown prince. I'm actually very curious as to how the show progresses :)

but as they showed today how uday singh agreed for competition to choose between pratap and shakti as heir of mewar proves dat somewhere justice prevailed though we can't see it

a person who wants to shine to enlighten world will shine for sure, but shakti is darkened by jealously and enemity with pratap, had he been little generous i would have respected him but he can go to any extent to make mockery of pratap

With the way Shakti has been portrayed, I think if Shakti was appreciated as much as Pratap and continually acknowledged for his good things, and his mother not treated so badly, he wouldn't be so resentful.
i differ here, sometimes in parenting favoritism happens but real challenge is to win ur parents, had shakti not been jealous he would have attained great heights but the jealously infused in him makes him weak

i agree sometimes i find guru ji too strict
