Wht he is doing treating one wife like a princess and loving her just because she is beautiful while ignoring the other 2 is unfair. Wht sajjabhai said is right today. He is a shallow person. Giving beauty importance

Udai Singh was a great king a patriot and a lover of art

Calling him shallow would be incorrect

He was a true king to mevar, and he Always kept mother land before personal gains, same cannot be said for many. At a very young age he had had to struggle a lot. His father died when he was a toddler , his mother did jauhar. His uncle almost killed him. He lived a life of exile till he won his mevar back.
So may be he found comfort in dheer bai

Yes he had a problem where dheer bai was. Concerned. He did injustice

But we cannot blemish a person by looking at only one side of his personality

I won't say he was a shallow person. He was one of d gr8 rulers who fought for his country, for his people... So as a King, I like Uday Singh.

But yes, when v look at him as a father or husband... He was bias towards Bhatiyani nd her son. He respect Jaywanta Bai, heloves Bhatiyani but what abt Sajja Bai?

He never gave any importance or respect to Sajja nd her sons...
Nd wat Sajja Bai said... I agree wid dat.

He agreed to Dheer Bai nd crowned her son as Rana of Mewar where Pratap was d most deserving for the crown. In show, they showed him favoring to Bhatiyani.
Today, the scene between US & Jaywanta... I really liked it.
First time they showed them as a Father nd mother of Pratap & there was a little hint of Husband - wife relation between them... But it vanished b4 v cud see more 😔

Till date, I have seen US-Jaywanta as King nd Queen. I liked today's transformation 👍🏼

Looking at his character in this show it is tough to believe he was great or something. He might have been a great ruler but I doubt if he was of great character also! Did he do justice with his own family? In the show he seems like a shallow person who is wrapped around the little finger of her youngest and prettiest queen and easily seduced by her sweet talks and physical charms!

He barely interacts with Sajjabai and praised her a bit for her act of bravery in jauhar time. But was cootchie-cooing Rani Bhaatiyani in tonight's episode! He bears all her tantrums also as if it is some adaa!

It's shocking to see how he is easily swayed by Rani Bhaatiyani. No wonder a viewer will conclude he was a shallow person!

in reality he was not a great warrior n king jus like his ancestors ..(Rana Sanga n Rana Kumbha ..).who didn't have courage to fight with mughals (Akbar)..He wanted to give Mewar's throne to Bhatiyani's son Jagmal ...coz he loved his beautiful cunning wifey more than Mewar...🤢 He was a husband first than a Rajput king ...👎🏼Rajputs who could sacrifice everything to save their motherland n their pride..😳
but Shakti Anand is portraying Udai Singh's character amazingly ...👏

Well to be fair, no one is perfect.

And yeah I definitely agree he was unfair. But I'm pretty sure as Bhaatiyani got older, lost her beauty and he fell for someone new, Bhaatiyani would become the new Sajjabhai. That's the thing about having the ability to choose anyone as your wife, like Udai Singh had.

And like others pointed out, he had a pretty tough childhood. That would f**k up anyone.

Beauty is something that can defeat even the great people too.So Uday Sing is not an exception here..he is just bewitched by the charms of his beautiful queen...But he is not shallow person as he always think about his motherland, family before him...

I hardly think Bhatiyani is the prettiest queen or that Sajjabai lost her beauty. Heck, she looks only a few years older than Kunwar Shakti. Bhatiyani looks way older. If that's what they wanted to portray, they should have chosen other actors.

But then again The actress playing Bhatiyani is good at portraying negative characters so probably that's why they chose her.
