Exclusive: Shilpa Shinde told by CINTAA to report on the sets immediately

In the special meeting held on Thursday evening at the CINTAA ( Cine & Tv artistes association)office, the Joint Dispute settlement Committee has directed actress Shilpa Shinde to report on the set at the earliest.

It was decided that Shilpa should resume shooting for fiction series Bhabhiji Ghar Par Hai. A formal order will be issued to the actress tomorrow morning instructing her to continue shooting for the show.

Confirming this development, actor Shushant Singh, honorary general secretary, CINTAA and member of Joint Dispute Settlement Committee (JDSC) said, "Yes Shilpa has been asked to do what is legally and ethically correct. We have told her to report on the sets and continue shooting for the show. A formal written order will be issued to her tomorrow conveying our decision to her. We heard both the parties and studied the documents submitted to us in detail. Shilpa has indeed signed a contract which states that the actress will only work exclusively for the production house till the show is on air so how can she leave the show. We also found that she has been lying to the media by saying that she is being replaced. That is not the case at all. In fact, the producer is keen on having the actress back on the show. If she doesn't follow our decision, a disciplinary action will be taken against her".

Reacting on the order passed by the JDSC, an upset Shilpa said, "Well, this was expected. The JDSC has unfairly ruled the matter in the producer's favour. They never take our problems into consideration. We actors don't have any rights. It is sheer nonsense that they have asked me to work with the very people who have been harassing me. They have clearly told me if I don't resume shooting for the show, I won't be allowed to work any where else. They can't force me to work with them nor can they stop me from taking up other shows. I will drag all these guys to court".

The JDSC order, on the other hand, has brought much needed relief to the producer of the show Benaifer Kohli. Reacting on the order, Benaifer said, "The members found all the documents in place. They have asked her to resume work. If she fails to honour the JDSC order, I will take her to court."

As for the fans, they will be happiest to know that their favourite 'Bhabhi' is not going anywhere for the time being.

I really can't say who is in the wrong here, Shilpa or the production house! Taali dono haath se bajti hain !
But I am really sad that she is gone. I don't want to judge her as a person but as Angoori she just nailed it. As if This role was destined for her ! And Shilpa and asif chemistry was just incredible. About other actors getting insecure, there could be some truth in that because she was certainly more popular than Anita.

I am aware that there will be replacement for her and the show will go on but it will never be the same.

Alas, Why do good thing end so early !

Shilpa 'refuses' to return as Angoori at the Joint Dispute Settlement Commitee meeting

The special Joint Dispute Settlement Commitee meeting held at the CINTAA (Cine & TV Artistes Association) office on Thursday evening in the presence of the Producers' body and CINTAA officials to get to a solution regarding the Shilpa Shinde issue has apparently turned fruitless.

A source tells us, "Everyone present at the JDSC meeting wanted Shilpa to resume her shoot immediately for the & TV show, Bhahiji Ghar Pe Hai. However, even after convincing her for two and half hours, the actress did not budge and refused to get back as Angoori."

The meeting was helmed by Sushant Singh, Honorary General Secretary, CINTAA and member of JDSC. Giving him company from the CINTAA side were eminent actors Deepak Qazir and Sunil Sinha.

Representing the Producers' body were Producers Gul Khan, Raakesh Paswan, Rahul Tewary and Shyamashis Bhattacharya. The Producers of Bhabhiji, Mr. And Mrs. Kohli were also present.

Our source further states, "Shilpa just did not adhere to the requests made by the committee members. She only said that she will deal with this issue in the legal way."

When contacted, Producer Gul Khan told us, "Yes, the Joint Dispute Settlement Commitee was put in place only for Shilpa. Everyone tried convincing her to stay on the show. However, she just does not want to do the show. She does not want to honour her contract even when everybody wants her to get back."

Producer Raakesh Paswan told us, "It is very unfortunate that even after signing the tri-party (Channel, Producer, Actor) exclusive contract, she is not willing to continue with the show. We addressed all her problems, and the question of not giving a hike does not enter as she has already taken two hikes in a year. Benaifer proved it by showing us the pertaining documents. We were actually feeling helpless on seeing Shilpa's behaviour."

We hear that the Committee will again get together today to derive a solution to the problem.

She said she already left the show. She hopes to do Kapil's show. She won't come back as Angoori.

After reading all the articles I think this is very unprofessional rude arrogance from shilpas part when every one has been asking her to come back why is she showing so much attitude
I just hope she doesn't get kapil show hope kapil doesn't take her only then she will come back

I do not have the link but watched UMeTV today and there too Shilpa informed she will not return to the sets of Bhaabhiji

In every interview she is telling the same thing she will not return to the show and koi usse bandhook rakkar kaam nahi kara sakta...😆

It's high time they should change Angoori. The character itself is the best one...with the help of director and writer new actress will do the justice I think...

CINTAA to intervene in Shilpa-Benaifer battle

Cintaa has convened an emergency confidential meeting to hear both the parties and decide on the course of action on Thursday evening.

The discord between actress Shilpa Shinde and producer Benaifer Kohli has come to a point where a sit- down discussion looks almost impossible between the aggrieved parties. Understanding the gravity of the situation, Cine & TV Artistes Association (Cintaa) has convened an emergency confidential meeting to hear both the parties and decide on the course of action on Thursday evening. The subject of the meeting will be Shilpa's reluctance to serve the 90-day notice period. Apparently, according to the contractual obligations, the actress will not just have to serve the notice period but will also have to work with the production house for a year at least before finally moving out.

Talking about the same, producer Binaifer Kohli says, "I have faith in Cintaa and I think the decision will go in my favour as I am right. I have three contract agreements, which clearly state she will have to work with us for two years (she has already completed one year) and then serve a 90-day notice period before moving out. If I let her go tomorrow, other actors will also take me for granted. So she will have to continue at all costs. If she dishonours Cintaa's decision then I will drag her to court and make sure justice is done in this matter."

The actress has a different point of view. She says, "Isn't it strange that despite me giving them problems they still want to work with me? But honestly, I can't bear them for nine seconds after all the harassment they have caused me. How can I be expected to serve a 90-day notice period? When the show shuts down we are not given any notice. They don't feed us and we are left to fend for ourselves, so I shouldn't be forced either. Cintaa has to consider my side of things and rule in my favour. I have the counter arguments ready to make the association see the reason. If I left the show, then there has to be a strong reason, right?"

Commenting further on the discord, Benaifer draws attention on Shilpa's behaviour with her co-actors. She says, "She has been attacking co-actors Asif Sheikh, Saumya Tandon and Rohitash Gaud for no reason and even calling them insecure. She claims they are jealous of her popularity and suffer from an inferiority complex because she hogs all the limelight. Why is she dragging everyone in this mess by bad mouthing them and misleading the media with her lies?" She adds, "Before me, she has had a fall out with at least 11 production houses. All the producers have taken her to court. She quits the shows simply because she is greedy for money. She blackmails producers into increasing her remuneration and when they refuse, she throws her weight around and quits. I gave in to her demands twice but decided to put my foot down the third time when she asked me for a raise. All the characters are popular and the show has been running successfully without her. Nobody is indispensable. I hope she understands it before it's too late."
