As you pointed out, Maya is an alien, she is Rajnikant, she is GOD!!

Woh kuch bhi kar sakti hai, it doesnt matter, We should not expect cvs to show us logical and normal things from Maya.

She will do all her aliengiri!

Toh Maya sab kuch kar sakti hai yeh toh main samajh gayi, par Arjun kuch bhi kyun nahi kar sakta yeh main nahi samjhi??

Maya was shouting at the top of her voice "Arjun please, mera bachcha!"

And the caring neighbour shruti hears her from the opposite building!

But Arjun who is having dinner in the same house with Saanjh cant hear it.🤪

Sahi hi kiya Maya ne jo kiya.

Saanjh ke saath khaana khaane ka itna shock tha openly Maya ne sab kiya, inn dono ko pata hi nahi chala?

Ab saath main baith ke jail ka khaana khaate huye yaad karna Maya ko!

Saanjh ka tu mujhe samajh mein hi nahi aata, duniya ki pehli aisi lawyer hogi jo client ko begunah saabit karne ke chakkar mein khud jail chali gayi!

Aur sach bolun toh Saanjh ko Maya ko kuch bhi kehna ka koi hak nahi hai.

The male protagonist is shown to dump her and his family is happy as if she was some Bitch.

The male protagonist was root of her insecurities and she was never a Bitch in my opinion. I always supported her. I was even bashed for supporting her character.

Now maya also would get my support if arjun was behind maya like crazy. Then say love u saanjh I would blame arjun. Here I can't blame arjun fully because maya manipulated him. Arjun was made to fall for Illusion created by maya.

Coming the part u said maya decided to change and become maya arjun sharma. She became friends with saanjh. I don't believe that. She never changed or else she would never attempt to kill jhanvi. She always wanted arjun for herself. She can never tolerate her own child being more loved then her then how will she tolerate arjun s family. She just manipulated the situation to her favour. Maya s manipulations always worked but relations cannot last on Manipulations.

Tanvi maya didn't brainwash him or anything into falling in love with her. In s1 is what i call a typical love triangle romance...both girls try to woo the guy, with one clearly failing at it. heck suman evn told saanjh to woo him n tell arjun u love him...did she ever? wen does she do it tho...wen she is abt to leave? Wen arjun had already become someone elses...n mind you she had the chance to do it since childhood...tab toh maya nahi thi na so u cant rlly say she pushed them tgthr...n if ur talkin abt the office thn thats clearly a good move from her part to keep an eye on both of them...again she isnt a 'good' sati savitri...yes she has shades...thats maya for u...a GREY shaded character...see maya has always tried to remove saanjh from arjun n wen she realised that for arjun she is someone irreplaceable she tried to accept that n become friends while also clearly telling saanjh that dosti mein pyaar kabhi nahi milta lekin pyaar mein dosti mil hi jaati hai...n saanjh got the point that maya ws inbetween her words telling her to stay within her limits...n we clearly saw what happnd...moment of weakness or not...it happnd at that restaurant n many more instances...

coming to arjun he ddnt fall for maya's promotions n what not immediately, rmmbr he did say no on the roof...what made him propose maya...the fact that she risked her life for him...that despite being put on a hold n being told 'no' to her proposal she ddnt stop trying...n he loved that abt her...evn at the hospital wen the miscarriage thing hapnd...he told saanjh that he ddnt leave her cuz she is still trying. See this man is kind, he has passion n lik jhanvi said the strength n wil to handle maya plus lik shruthi said evn i believe arjun is prem's legacy but unfortunately that golden good point of his hidden by his very big n highlighted talent of being a duffer and of being the most indecisive man on earth!

coming to what u said...the other story plot...that is exactly the problem...he says i love you to maya...my love will cure you n keep u from all evil...i will protect you...mere hothe hue tumhe kuch nahi hoga blah blah but at the same time despite knowing Maya perfectly he says i love you to saanjh, he says mein sirf dusky ka duffer hoon...unlike the drama ur talking abt...here the main lead maya already has been through enough torture as a child to hav deep rooted insecurities...n she did try to change for this MEGA INDECISIVE DUFFER but mind you she decided against doin it the right way after VM slaps her in the mandir...after that she kills jhanvi n also threatens VM not to force her to use her way...

like i said...maya dsnt always attack in her beyahdh style first...wen she is instigated then she tries to resist until that breaking point comes which usually comes pretty fast...i agree maya made his life a living hell but honestly thats why i hate arjun's character kyunki he actually COULD have solved everything...thats wut is so frustrating...if he cudv actually done wat he said all of this wdnt hav hapnd.

Shruthi i swear i had so many expectations from saanjh the character since that pilot episode where she saw maya's tears but she has just been disappointing...then wen u started talking abt her being prem's legacy during that period i got hopes again but then again...she failed big time...n nw this...idk y they keep trying to show as though saanjh is so intelligent n evrythn n thn make her charcter do smthn so stupid lik stopping the witness n burning evidence...evn if it is false...as a lawyer she does things that jus frustrated u as a viewer n u cant evn say that saanjh dsnt know hw to work in a tricky manipulative way cuz she clearly can...rmmbr wen she tricked maya to dance with arjun distracting her from her phone during her engagement...she clearly can be smart if she uses her brain properly than running after maya...altho ironically she used her brain in a manipulative way for maya only...though not in court...pata nahi court mein ja kar dimag ki batti kyu ban hojati hai...

n as far as maya is concerned...she has at a very young seen hw the world works...she evn told samay...no one helps anyone unless they hav some benefit of their own in it...shez learned the works of the dark side of the world at a very very young age..n mind u we still dnt noe wut actually hapnd...n clearly from some flashbacks she has seen the jail n police work too...on the other hand saanjh as a criminal lawyer shud know hw such a persons mind works...not to mention shez had suman n prem as parents who hav given enuf positivity n instilled enuf strength in her to rise above situations n remain calm yet wenever it is abt maya n her dear duffer she goes crazy n gives u such weird vibes...shez jus one big package of a disappointing charcter for me...

It is exactly like you said, every lawyer uses some amount of Maya, to present their client in the possible most benevolent way. But I dont know how many burn the evidence, and even get caught while doing so!! 😆😆😆

Again, you mentioned a very important point. In the first 10 episodes, Arjun mentioned about the gf, but we all were very clear at what must have happened after watching Saanjh's attitude towards Arjun the employee and Maya the boss.

Coming to Maya, see Maya's strategy works through 'maya'.

And by that I dont mean Maya's 'maya', I mean the 'maya' that other characters give in to.

See our scriptures and stories depict maya as a very ingrained part of this society yet they tell us to stay clear of it, they dont depict 'maya' as illusion, 'maya' means indulgence, attraction, shortcuts.

Maya uses this 'maya' to her advantage.

Every time she defeats someone by making them give in to 'maya' as in someone who is trying to make their own 'maya'.

Take Sanjh for instance, she got the diary and she tried to burn it, giving into the idea of shortcut, giving into the idea of attraction towards 'maya', towards indulgence and she is gone!!

Maya is able to defeat everyone who gives into this 'maya'.

But what about someone who does not do that?

That person who refrains from getting attracted by this 'maya'.

If that happens Maya would be unable to predict that person, rendering Maya helpless.

Maya has only come across those people who have twisted definitions of love and care, who are selfish, heartless or judgemental or all 3 of them. Maya thought Arjun is not one of them when she was blinded by his love, but time (Samay) proved her wrong. But that one person who is not selfish,not heartless, not judmental, that person would give Maya the shock of her life.

Maya wont be able to defeat this person.

The whole problem is that this mayafree person does not exist in this show.

Either one of the characters learn this way or a new character comes in.

But for now every one is living for the 'maya' they have crated.

For Saanjh it is Arjun and also the fact that she is a saint, for Ayaan it is his perfect family and denial to anything wrong done by him and his family, for Arjun it is the fact that he is the best person on earth who has not done anything wrong.

As long as these people live with these 'maya' in their lives, Maya will always have an upper hand.

@alex yes for some reason, Saanjh's brain can work only around Maya, and she is willing to do hardwork in life only when it is related to Arjun.

You know when you are talking about Saanjh's parents and Maya's upbringing, there is one thing that you can not miss, and that is the difference.

Prem v/s Ahswin:

Prem and Ashwin are the exact opposites of each other.

While Prem is the definition of selfless fatherly love, one can always define Ashwin as the selfish cruel father who is an insult to the word 'father'.

Prem loves his daughter and wants to protect her from anything and everything.

And we have Ashwin who made sure that he gives all kinds of pain and fear to Maya.

Remember Maya's dialogue "Aisi koi maar nahi hai jo maine na khaayi ho, aisa koi darr nahi hai jisse mujhe door rakha gaya ho"

Prem wants Saanjh to be his legacy, unfortunately it does not happen.

Ashwin in no way wants Maya to be her successor, unfortunately she does become his successor by carrying his negative traits inside her.

Suman v/s Jhanvi:

Then again exact opposites.

Suman loves her husband Prem a lot, but even then she stands up for her daughter against Prem, when Prem asks Saanjh to stay away from Arjun.

Jhanvi never stood up for Maya even when Maya was going through such horrible tortures as a child.

Suman always supported Saanjh in all her decisions, unlike Jhanvi who decided hers and Maya's fate on Ashwin's mood.

For Suman, the idea of right and wrong was not clouded by her love, as for Jhanvi, we all know about her actions.

Saanjh v/s Maaya:

Well, Saanjh has not attempted any murder unlike Maya.

And Maya is a genius, she is damn talented in almost everything, unlike Saanjh.

Other than these 2 things, they are almost the same.

They both do Arjun jaap, want to have Arjun in their life no matter what, and do pagalon waali harkatein.

Waise it is very interesting to note

Maya paagal hai par uska dimaag lawyer se bhi tez chalta hai,

Saanjh lawyer hai, uska dimaag pagal se bhi kam chalta hai!!

So you see, even though their upbringing was done in the most different ways by exactly opposite kinds of people, there is not much difference in the final product.

Dono hi hopeless hain!!!

The amount of effort she has been putting in planning and plotting, if same effort she had put in getting well, today she would be living a better life.

But, I guess getting well was never her goal. Becoming serial killer was her motive which she has achieved.

@manya you rightly told. Someone has to learn the path being selfless, judgemental and truthful. I expected saanj to show that path.rise above Maya. Even Samay told when u come out of cycle of competition u will find me at the same place. At that time I felt time the metaphor was asking her to rise above Maya. But everytime u keep ur bet on her she comes back to square one. Maya says another dialogue saanjh got her path and Maya got her destination. So not sure in the next 60 epi or so saanjh will learn the path.

There is difference in trying and in manipulating. There were lot of instances where she manipulated to get arjun. The first hot air balloon she choose to say in it because she indirectly threatened that she might jump. Then if u remember she hacked his account and created the same wishlist and manipulated him into believing saanjh is putting rubbish thoughts in his brain and it's better he stays away from saanjh. She purposely send him to risky island knowing the big Duffer he is and then did that heroics stunt of saving him. Saanjh or anybody would never put that person s life at a risk to save them. So arjun obviously saw what maya made him see.

Maya always knew that arjun loves saanjh in a platonic way. She thought she will break that relation but she couldn't. Whatever arjun said to saanjh that night was something maya always knew. Now arjun coming to meet saanjh by Lieing to maya. This is main point. Why did he come to saanjh? All he needed is a friend. What if maya could provide that friendship in their relation. That doesn't mean arjun will stop meeting saanjh but won't tell lie to maya. That will increase the trust between them.

Maya wanted to be replacement to all his relations. That was wrong. Maya can never be replacement to his relations. The satisfaction he derives from being with vandana, ayaan and saanjh maya cannot replace but she wanted to then what she did? She eliminated all his relation from his life. She dint do anything to make her relation better. So that caused to be extremely unhappy in her. If maya wants him to cut all his connections from world she should provide him that happiness that world provides him. So the obvious steps arjun resorted to alcohol. That's why in the beginning of S 2 we saw him drinking.

Arjun as a character has certain needs and if completely just look from maya s point of view only then we aren't being fair with arjun.

So maya knowing the bond he shares with saanjh she shouldn't have got involved with arjun. Having said that I do believe no matter with whom maya got involved with it would never work.

Even if everything is fine, there is no saanjh arjun behaves too sweet with his brother that also isn't acceptable to maya.

Anything and everything instigates maya so no one should be blamed for instigating her.

All she needs is heavy medications whenever she feels she is instigated. That's also she isn't willing to take.

manya i agree with your post except there are few more differences between saanjh n maya. Their obsession with arjun n their love for him is definitely their similarity but maya is way stronger than saanjh. Where maya dsnt depend on anyone to help her n finds her way out of trouble by hook or by crook saanjh jus sits n cries n expects someone to come help her whether its prem or arjun. she needs that support but maya is used to being alone. n clearly maya has more idea of law than saanjh, again irony~~ yahan lawyer kaun hai...woh bhi criminal lawyer..ha!

jahnvi is more like a child...wenevr maya taunts her for falling for a man who only wanted money in the initial episodes she wud get upset lik a child n walk away, maya pretty much brought her self up being the mother to jhanvi than jhanvi being the mother figure...whereas suman has always been there for her daughter, scolding her wen needed n guiding wen needed...i feel lik out of all the three mothers shown in the show...the only sensible one ws Suman

but lets see age kya hota hai...if lik shruthi says, maya the perception is to go..thn it'll mst prbbly b by the 200th episode (wch apparently i heard is the episode maya is goin to return...not sure tho) then the story that follows from thr will show a dfrnt maya n saanjh..plus i think we'll soon see a flashback series begin for maya's childhood.

also i dunno why i hav no basis or supoort from episodes, but i really really hav a gut feeling evrythn we r seeing is a 'maya' for us...thr is definitely more to hw she planned all this...n why she chose to do this now...cuz thr is some MAJOR logic missing here...maya's motive...cuz we know shez coming back so whats with the 'pre-planned method of getting you to come to me after im gone'...i could be wrong...lets see
