I fail to understand Vandana and Arjun's relation... (points added 1)

This guy named, Arjun, detested his mother since the start of the show, indicating that hatred was since childhood. He loved his brother more for sure...

Today's episode was beyond my understanding... He, all of sudden cares for his mom like a "real mom". Not being biased, I am just trying to organize the sequence of scenes in the show. (added 9 to 11)

Let's see,

1. He disliked Vandana

2. Maya's word led him to realize his folly and he became beta of Vandana.

3. He gets married to Maya, and yet we see that strong sense of wish for Vandana's presence... But was ready to go on..

4. Yet on Vandana's arrival he does get up, but doesn't budge from decision of marrying Maya.

5. He once again breaks away from his family, vandana and this time even Ayaan.

6. He regrets his behaviour and patches up with brother first after almost 3 years. He apologizes to mother Vandu as well..

7. After his wife blames his brother Ayaan of attempting rape he goes to jail meeting his "Step" brother and openly claiming him to be so...

8. Mother Vandana too being terrified curses him of always being alone till he has wifey Maya.

9. So now Beta Arjun sits with Vandana Mom and has heart to heart talk... Where Vandana maa claims Maya is bad.. And beta claims Maya is ill...

10. Beta Arjun supports Momma Vandana and takes his wife Maya to office with him for some romance... And Mother Vandana doesn't quiet like their coochi coo romance... But tolerates it... Oh and yes.. Beta Arjun warns and requests Momma to not mess around with wifey...

11. Last so far... Wifey can shoot out at momma vandana or bestie because his wife is ill... So again point comes to wifey is more important then momma

And all of sudden today Arjun claims, his mother is above everyone else, mother whom he hated since childhood till point 2. This mother is now above his brother...??? 😲

I am soo lost...

Now coming to mother...

Honestly, I had never detested the character of Vandana, but today I did dislike her, when she smiled seeing Maya hurting herself. She was happy that maya is maniac beating herself and not his son??

Dude just 3 weeks back, he called you sautela and you too cursed him in police station... And all of sudden you remember your son has sanskars of your... The same son, who never paid attention to your words.. How did you instill these sanskars?

All the while she kept claiming, my son can never be woman beater cannot be and blah blah.. But all of the sudden she smiles on confirming it.

Second, now she cared less for Arjun, and more for Ayaan hence thought to even confirm to Maya 's words... Though Maya had witness and evidence, that's secondary... But she appeared quiet selfish when she said... Arjun will leave Maya but Ayaan would still be stuck...

Can someone pls. Help me understand Vandana' s POV?

And I have lost the number of times Arjun has flipped flopped on his stance regarding his mother! One minute she is a sauteli maa and another minute he claims that his mother is above everyone else.

I think that arjun pretends with vandana and that he made a plan with maya to take revenge on her (he must know something about his parents's death).

Even me too failed to understand relation between arjun and vandhana... From his childhood arjun hated vandhana ,it is maya who made arjun realise vandhana importance in his life... And arjun always want to stay away from vandhana if we all remember he said to maya on their first day of marriage that let's we both stay in a separate house away from all this people... He always says vandhana as a step mother and even vandhana too said arjun he is step son... Then how all of a sudden arjun loves vandhana more then anyone how silly ...

@TM You have very nicely brought out a fact that the creatives do not adequately spend their time in writing all other characters except Maya!
The inconsistent behavior is direct result of shoddy works of writers!
Sad that such poor story telling makes us to get irritated with characters when sometimes the situation really calls for some kind of connection with them!

Honestly I still feel, makers could have avoided showing Vandana as step mother, or make Arjun dislike her in start. Had they not shown, Arjun falling in maa ke charan after meeting Maya it would have made alot more sense than it is now.

Well, yes, Maya's character is well sketched, yet won't call it a perfect one. That bossy one was still way above this one... Who has surrendered her life to one fool, who is a confused soul himself.

Honestly I am seriously missing Bappa😆 whom Maya used to worship.

Great post and I completely agree with you!! I think the problem here is inconsistent writing..we as viewers are taken for granted at times and are expected to go with the flow when we know and remember very well whatever they showed in earlier episodes...this is the issue with most of the indian daily soaps..Beyhadh is no different

I was kinda sad and mad both at VM when she was happy that Maya was beating herself but not Arjun..yes your "so-called" SON is not a wife-beater and according to precap she still is advising her SON to leave Maya...she knows thats not the solution...why doesnt either Arjun, VM or even Saanjh for that matter think about providing some medical help to Maya even once...I hate the fact they kept her calling PAAGAL...hated when Saanjh kept on screaming "Paagal Biwi" and crap...yes we all know she is NOT normal, whats your point here?

Sad that Maya is behind a confused soul like Arjun and doing all these crazy things for him..

P.S. I am no Maya supporter here but I do believe that all the characters are selfish and messed up in this show...
