I agree with you completely. Right now, everything is murky. We still don't know what happened exactly. But, both Ayan and Maya are far from innocent.
As for the episodes, I can only say that the courtroom scenes failed to impress me. No cross questioning.Prosecutor hardly said anything. The judge was like a cardboard. Petty name-calling and personal digs at each other. It was nasty and not in a good way. So, what now?
Arjun and Maya being mushy-mushy again...so not looking forward to that. đ¤˘
Samay and Maya (SaMaya) on the other hand. Now, that's something to be hopeful for.đł I love their scenes together. Two very intriguing and eccentric characters. Their relationship dynamics is utterly unique. Simone Singh is entering the show...I hope its true and not a rumor. I like Simone Singh ever since I watched her in Being Cyrus. She was also in the Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham right? I wonder if she is positive or a negative character.
Courtroom scene was melodrama for 2 days. Today we were shown legit evidences- tampered or not that we can debate but I think they were not. While Saanjh's intention of presenting the case as frameup by Maya was right but she had no evidences to prove her theory in the case under investigation. Its surprising that she didn't go through the CCTV footage herself if we go by the shocked expression she gave when she actually saw it.. When prosecution lawyer said that Ayaan broke the cameras, Ayaan didn't deny Saanjh did.. How could Ayaan locate the cameras? Biggest mistake - how could Saanjh assume that Maya will not go for medical examination when she knew this was an attempt to rape case not a rape case unless she through Ayaan didn't even touch her.. How can Saanjh assume that Samay will not be summoned given the fact that he's the only eyewitness? The fact that she asked him to stay away which was openly brought out by the lawyer is also contempt of court because she tried to influence a key witness.
Maya is capable of anything - that's what we are made to believe so deep down we all will feel maybe she staged this.. that smile in the precap- creatives want to confuse us.. But some of the statements made by Maya and lawyer, like the one where she pointed out that every woman whether a corporate honcho or a house maker has a right on their body and their pride that no one can violate without their permission, not even their husbands.. Even a mad, bad, obsessed, freak of a woman has the right to decide who touches her.. THAT is the message I want to keep from this otherwise OTT court drama..
And yes Ayaan deserves punishment for his stupidity.. he is not innocent.. Maya felt threatened of rape that is debatable..but she has every right to get Ayaan punished for what he did..
Samay had once said that he is not anyone's friend or enemy..Samay only sees truth.. now he said Ayaan wasn't raping or trying to rape Maya but he didn't deny he was assaulting her.. so I will take his word on this case.. so looking forward to his scenes with Maya..
