you are right, it is always at a time when scared but why the need to bang her head? i really feel there is a reason behind it, i hope we find out soon

yes scared and i guess angry too

but when saanjh was saying all that, maybe she felt scared because she might lose the case so her brain reacts and she starts to bang her head, im sure there is a mental reason behind it and i really want to know why she does that action.

i personally feel writers have thought of a specific reason behind it because they always zoom in when she bangs her head and her eyes become red, even when jhanvi started doing the same action they zoomed in on the camera, its like they wants viewers to be aware of it.

yes you are right people do do such action even though they dont have mental disorder but i feel with maya it has something to do with her mental issues.

you are absolutely right but do you think she bangs her head because of her mental health condition? because it has happened many times? it's really weird Arjun and Saanjh both have noticed maya banging her head, in fact Arjun has noticed many times. Does he not question why she always bangs her head? and Maya does not act normal when she bangs her head.

many suffer from distress, anxiety, anger and pain but never noticed anyone act like the way maya does when she bangs her head, i really want to know why she does that act and i hope us viewers find out why

I have my theories about what Maya's mental health condition/personality disorders could be. From what I have gathered, she's suffering from multiple conditions with psychopathy taking up the greatest proportion (it's a medically recognised personality disorder, please don't think I'm name calling her, this isn't name calling) out of them all. Oh, the things Arjun have noticed and yet ignored are too many. We don't know as of yet whether or not he tried taking her to a psychiatrist but if he didn't, it must have been for reasons.

Loool dont worry i know you are not name calling 😆 i was legit researchingas to why people bang their heads lool and the only thing which i found was

- bipolar disorder

- psychotic disorder

-borderline personality disorder

so some of the things which you have mentioned as well, i think she suffers from bipolar disorder too, because maya is quite bipolar, there has been times when she was nice (minus the manipulation) and there has been times when we have seen the grey side to her.

so personally i feel she is suffering from personality and bipolar disorder.

i doubt arjun has taken her to a psychiatrist but i hope someones points out mayas actions as why she is regularly banging her head

its quite obvious those mannerisms are a part of her psychiatric illness...obsessive compulsive disorder/narcissism/ personality disorder/ or whatever so..

It is a sign of Mental development Disorder. Sudden self-injurious behaviour can get a very quick response from other people, and many such behaviours occur in people who have no other functional way of communicating their needs, wants and feelings. Head slapping, or banging the head on a hard surface, may be a way of communicating frustration, getting a preferred object of activity, or reducing demands.Hand biting may help someone cope with anxiety or excitement.

The person may learn that self-injurious behaviour can be a very powerful way of controlling the environment. A behaviour which was initially a response to physical pain or discomfort could eventually become a way of avoiding or ending an undesired situation

I think she does it when she loses control of the situation be it person or event. It's her stress and extreme anxiety reaction. For example, she did when she saw her mom in the hospital both times, when Ashwin tried to stop her marriage, and now today.
