Just a thought.

Is it possible that arjun took up maya's side so that the court proceedings eventually brings out the truth of their marriage, that he's not the torturer but is the tortured, and maya too cannot later blame him for that?

How many of you have such a doubt?

^^ yes exactly. If his monologues are true and not just to mislead us...then he's really with his wife. But isn't it strange that he knows maya too well n ayaan tooo well too, and he's changed so much all of a sudden?

I hope it's true because it's absolutely impossible for someone to go from intense hatred to intense love even after witnessing such a life-changing experience Arjun could feel sorry for Maya, but saying things like he trusts her more than he trusts himself and that she's his jaan etc look discordant with the way things have progressed between them.

I expected him to be with maya but caught up in the middle. How do you go from "Ayan don't touch her, she will destroy your life" to this? Like he doesn't even suspect this is Maya's doing, that makes no sense. But at the same time his monologue makes you think he is genuinely against Ayan.

Similarly maya's FB of Ayan attacking her when Arjun touched her confused me. So is she really traumatized by it and not pretending??

Writing flaws or to build suspense in audience???

True. How can Arjun who has suffered so many lies and atrocities of Maya can suddenly feel Maya is a victim? All he has to do is check the cameras installed in home to know the truth!

How can Arjun overlook the criminal act on him that night? He was drugged and restrained against his wishes! And in that state of inebriation how can he determine who is telling the truth? Either he is the same dumb Arjun played once again by Maya or he himself is playing the game to disclose the monstrosity of Maya under the pretext of helping her. That way he can be sure Maya is not his adversary and he can expose Maya's lies unless she indeed is a victim which is highly unlikely..

I have a strong feeling that the monologues and flashbacks are done to mislead us. Because otherwise I see no point in Arjun behaving so dumbstruck in the court. If he was genuinely with his wife, shouldn't he have been much more prepared to face questions?

And his Maya Mehrotra kucch bhi kar sakti hai sounded more like being sarcastic and giving in like yes she can do kucch bhi including stage a crime.

That's a nice theory. It should come true! Only then Arjun can flourish as a character otherwise he's had the most stunted growth as for as characterizations are concerned in this show. A wised up Arjun at this stage would make the show even more interesting.

From the precap, Saanjh is seen grilling him about what he was doing when the rape was happening😆 It's an inevitable question, let's he how he tackles that!
