For me, Maya became a Spawn of Lucifer when she tortured Vandana. Nothing could be more disgusting than that. Nothing.

The only few similarities is that Maya too has a sick guy trying to woo her with extreme stuff, like Amy had Desi.
Maya's childhood and till she met Arjun, were really really really awful, but that doesn't make Amy's life any good. They both had suffered, though on different levels.
Amy wasn't as insecure as Maya either. Maybe that's because Maya had to deal with way more shit than her.
Maya "loves" Arjun but Amy hates Nick and wants him to be slave to her. They both are controlling, yea.
Amy suffers not from psychopathy but from Borderline personality disorder and narcissim.
Whereas, we see Maya, who is suffering from psychosis, becuase of her delusions regarding Arjun (I feel she's healing and recovering from that because of her now being aware of Arjun's feelings towards her), Obsessive compulsive disorder, Major depressive disorder, psycho motor agitation, and plenty more.

And why do you assume things about me and make personal comments? While I appreciate your pov I did not like some as assumptions you made about me. My pov is not urs.

Ok... my view is that Amy lived a life that was probably not perfect. But that abuse is not severe.

All of us as kids would not have had a perfect childhood in all sense, those who did are really lucky ones. I met a friend whose mom did not comb her hair for like 9+ years and no it was not for any prayer and the matted hair looked really bad 😊 (am not saying that she should change... but it does have its impact). The family finally got her to shave her hair off when they started looking out for an alliance for my friend. My friend has his set of quirks but he is a lovable person.

So, not all parental behavior might lead to a child going nuts as adult. And all parents their set of quirks and they also have expectations... and Amy's did too. But it need not have driven her to kill or frame a person. That seems extreme. Amy was not rich as Maya but she was not found wanting... till she lent her money to Nick. Dunno about the monetary part now... so cant comment on it till I finish. That book is a work in progress... but cannot do much with a toddler in tow..

Love Maya and love each and every action of hers "IN the SHOW". That's the keyword. And most of us love Maya cause of the way Jen breaths life into this character. More than Maya its Jen we love for her portrayal of this complex character.

AS for Maya at the moment. There is no question that Maya had a valid physical assault case, when she was talking with Samay she had injury on her head and I believe some scratches too.

I would think the following are the reasons for Maya to frame Ayaan...

Physical assault - This is why I said Maya decided to punish Ayaan, in Maya's court the laws and punishments are different. She decides the punishment.

Saanjh would win and Maya would lose Arjun

But the fact that she went to a great extreme to deliver Ayaan the punishment... makes her look bad. But, INdian shows also have this thing for drama and more drama. Come Monday, Maya is going to cry buckets and probably tell her side of the story and we will all be like my puuur dear Maya. Disclaimer: So my POV is like an eternal pendulum. 😛😛

Love her, Hate her... but you cant ignore her. Sab Maya hai 😆😆

Yes Shruthi Di i can understand that it was difficult to show her darkness in season 1 thats why in season 2 we are seeing it .So in season 3 we are expected to see Maya light,the brightness of her side ,her redemption.

Ayaan definitely had a fight with maya. He did try to grab the keys and in the tussle they might be bruises on maya s hands, which is no where close to physical assault or else there was no need for samay. Secondly they did show in a way to audience remain confused and then to reveal it like they did yesterday. Man shouldn't hit women, no domestic violence but to judge whether one is wrong or right, one needs to see the situation from both sides. Tomorrow if arjun hits her also, it's justified because what maya did to vandana is wrong.

It is because of Dusky's intervention n the alteration of the 7th vow that Arjun's life will be spared by Maya at the end...else Maya would have killed Arjun n herself in the end..
