Samay: This Time is Ours

Hello! Everyone,

I am absolutely new to this forum. My name is Priya. I had watched episodes of Beyhadh in bits and pieces earlier. Knew and liked all the three leads from their previous shows.❤️ Also, loved the freshness of the character of Maya.

However, my reason for making a post in this forum is the new entrant to the show, Samay AKA Piyush Sahdev. I have been the actor's ardent fan for the past 10+ years.☺️ Have watched all his shows till date and have decided to do the same with Beyhadh. At present, I am in the middle of watching the previous 118 or so episodes of the soap, while also going through all the threads posted on 153 pages of Beyhadh forum. Quite an enormous task, really.

Coming to Piyush's character, Samay, his entry completely blew me away. His screen presence was noteworthy, at least for me. As I read in the previous few posts, many in this forum are expecting him to have some connection with Maya's past; others want him to be a true friend for Maya. I really am in no position to comment on how his character should shape up. But, all I wish is that his character should be hatke', as in different. Today his character reminded me of a character called Krishna Vasudev Yadav (played by Akshay Kumar) from the movie Oh My God. Don't ask me the reason for this. Perhaps, it was because of the way, Piyush rode the bike😎. Or maybe, his character gave me the impression that he is here to solve everyone's problems👍🏼 (he might end up creating more too👎🏼).

I don't know whether he'll turn out to be Saajh's saviour or Arjun's or Maya's. All I know is that I hope his character is unique (just like many of the characters Piyush has earlier played have been unique). I won't mind if Samay has grey shades.

Samay or time waits for none. Time can have so many shades. It has the potential to change everything, while it remains constant. I am eagerly waiting to see what this Samay is bringing: bura waqt' for whom and achha waqt' for whom?

So, what's your take? I request all the forum members to share their viewpoints. I would love to hear them and discuss them.

P.S.: Can a loyal viewer of Beyhadh tell me whether the background music (which was amazing BTW), played for Samay, is one that the CVs use all the time in the soap? Or was it a new one?

The loss of weight seems to be working wonders for him. He is very disciplined. I was actually kinda jealous of Arjun (Kushal) because Piyush as Samay winked, hugged and blew kisses at him... that too, all in just one episode.

I am not in a position to judge Maya... but would like to say that she needs a person (be it Samay or someone else) to understand and guide her... she deserves that. Hope Samay can be that person.

. . . Why is Maya not realizing this? Because, she is not a normal person! No logic or rationality works for her when she gets into obsessive mode! The more Arjun gets desperate & wants to run away, the more she gets obsessed with him. She will follow him like his shadow! There is no place for him to run or hide! She will not let him go, come what may! So much, for her sense of insecurity!

But what if she gets a new option, say, Samay tries to woo her, sensing an opportunity to intervene in this relationship mess? She will annihilate him! Period. For that matter, if anybody dares to come in between Maya & Arjun, their fate will be sealed! A girl who gave up her true friend in the lake, for the sake of her exclusive relationship with Arjun, no one (other than Arjun) belonging to this world will matter!

Her ties with Arjun can be broken only if one of them gives up their life!

Sure, I am excited to see what new dimensions will Samay bring to this show - I am also glad that Saanjh has found someone. Samay has the guts to correct Arjun arrogantly instead of just lecturing him like Saanjh did..this aspect of his character is going to come into use in future for sure.

I really like this Samay character. The actor who plays him is so hot. I am hoping he has an awesome role in the show. At least expect him to be better than Arjun. I am not really a regular watcher of this show. But, I am on the verge of becoming a fan. Maya is the only interesting thing in the show for me thus far.
