This is my defeat

I try, I break myself in half, into four parts...

I catch balance, trying to keep it all at once.

Honestly, I hate that word!

Am I Duffer?

Arjun also the most interesting and the most bizarre character

Good post. More than the external factors like Ashwin or Vandana, Maya s trying to fight the demons inside her. However, the demons came only from Ashwin. Maya is putting genuine efforts to become an ideal DIL. She wants to forget the past and move on in her life but for Vandana, her superstitious beliefs are more important and whenever anything goes haiver, she links that with her superstitions and looks for the ways to taunt Maya. Ayaan respected his mother & had defended her against Arjun but when he got to know that Arjun's happiness lies in Maya, he accepted her & is not supporting Vandana.

She only gets help from Arjun to fight her demons. She became Saanjh's friend after marrying Arjun. Vandana is like Pinky in Ishqbaaz.
