Appointing her as the legal advisor was just a way to get her in the office so she could keep an eye on them 24/7... in the office she will keep an eye on them and at home Arjun will obviously always be with maya... she wants to keep her enemies close to her at this point ;)

I am only saying what is there in the show. In the starting few episodes, Maya appreciated Saanjh's work. She was not loving Arjun at that time. She told Multani that Saanjh will be working on her cases to which he agreed. After Saanjh got the responsibilities, she was sneaking out of the office as per her likes and dislikes.

Later, she also started having personal issues with her. I don't think Saanjh was serious with the tasks that are given to her. The logic is I have not seen her much in her work spot. I don't want to say the same thing over and over again. You are still drilling over it and can drive anybody mad.

She took Saanjh because she knows that Saanjh is talented. Tbh, I don't think that was Maya's right move as it will do more harm to her than good.

And if you seriously believe that Maya took Saanjh purely for professional reasons, then you must be watching a different show or extremely naive. Maya views Saanjh as a threat and plans to eliminate her. So it makes zero sense to say that she's appointing her rival for 100% professional reasons.
