@ Lumos _31 She could have killed Saanjh surreptitiously and Arjun wouldn't even have known about it. Ashwin's still a mystery but Maya might have actually tried to defend herself and in the process she could have hurt Ashwin. He's a vile child abuser whose words aren't to be taken seriously.
Honestly it doesn't make any sense to kill innocent people especially when they're not a direct threat to jeopardize her association with Arjun. There are different kinds of MIs ( refer to DSM) and not all of them are going to make the patients afflicted with, killers, and hence your conclusion doesn't make any sense to me. Therefore, let's agree to disagree.

Maya is extreme ( with a conscience) but the makers haven't shown anything thus far which remotely indicate she's the capability to kill per her whims.

FWIW, if there's any character that I like in this show, it's Saanjh but that doesn't mean I'm going to level unnecessary allegations towards Maya just because she's seemingly unhinged. If they showed her as a killer, this show wouldn't survive.

The first promo showed how Maya was capable of physically harming the pandit .She puts fire to hut in which he was meditating .Maya must not have killed him but must have done that must resulted in what happened.Or may be pandit used some words which she coudnt take it.I think after watching the first promo when Maya said God forgive me but panditji shouldn't have said that.I think that line was the most intriguing part of promo giving the feeling of thriller .That's what attracted us to watch this show. She isn't planned murderer types but may be when she is angry you never know what she may end up doing. The entire built up for Maya for 60 episodes so that she shouldn't be hated

Btw, killing Saanjh will not satisfy her purpose. Saanjh is linked to Arjun and she knows how important she is to him, so killing her would mean Arjun would be hurt, and Maya doesn't want that. About Ashwin, we can only suspect, until we know the full truth. I know there are different kind of mental illnesses not all of people affected are murderers and I'm aware of DSM-5 as well. But Maya's traits point to somebody who indeed can kill. But as u said, let's agree to disagree.

You've said it right. Whatever Maya does, she does it ethically. She also manipulates ethically. If Maya was capable of killing, Ashwin would've been the first victim in her hands and she wouldn't have even got the sentence for that as killing for self-defense or protecting others is always exempted by the law. If the cvs don't give us what they've promised, many will say adieu to this show. And Arya does not have a simple majority. That pair has got more than 2/3 majority. So if the writers make her negative or a murderer, the show will obviously not survive and I will be the first person to leave.

I don't consider Maya to be ethical. The makers keep dilly-dallying with her character without etching her in a coherent fashion. She's been shown to be a stickler for rules in one episode but doesn't bat an eyelid and constantly ignores Arjun flouting office rules. There are many such instances where I feel she's not ethical at all. But making her a killer is pushing it and there's no need to make her a killer logically too.

Please give it a watch again. The Pandit doesn't die in the promo.

I'm off this topic! Good night :)

You are telling me again and again that she dint kill pandit in the promo but my question to you was when she burnt his hut ...was he there inside the hut or outside .Because that decides the intention of Maya.
