See we cannot say whatever that Panditiji told is false. He says the darkness inside you cannot bring light to others. It is a fact we know. Maya's dark past and its repercussions cannot be wished away. There is no future if Maya doesnt come open with her past to Arjun. Again with her life will be living hell. Yes it will be. The controlling freak Maya is, it is not going to be easy for Arjun. He will also be in a cage. The path shown by her is perception. Very much true. Maya only shows things she wants others to see about her.
But what the Pandit misses is that instead of telling let go of Maya or asking Maya to let go of Arjun telling she will destroy him, if he had told " beta remove the darkness inside you, start afresh, you have a bright life ahead" the message would have been something different.
He spoke as if the darkness of Maya cannot be removed. He spoke judgmental about her. Maya the girl is happy if someone appreciates her genuinely because she has not seen love. She has always faced rejection, always and everyone looks at her and tells reject this girl. She is of no good. They only increase the darkness in her.
Now Arjun he tells he has written her name in his destiny. And he tells one more thing, let us give it to God than his messengers. He forgets one thing when he tells that. God speaks through messengers. Instead of completely rejecting what Panditiji told especially when he accepted his future of fame, name etc he should have tried to see if there is something true in those lines.
He has seen Maya's obsessive nature when she locked him up for 6 hrs, her phobia of colors, her madness of waiting for him through night, also a bit of her dark past. He should have thought of digging a bit about her than simply telling I have written your name in destiny.
Some times right action at the right time can save a lot of heartbreak. If he had known her past and try to give the required medical assistance maybe he can still have her with him, but as his Maya the woman who is capable of giving love and a woman who knows her limits.
But then Beyhadh is all about half knowledge and perceptions just like Saanjh tells I lost. Really. Does Arjun not loving her makes her a loss. She is a lawyer, have a loving family and Arjun still considers her his friend. Still lost and what did he do, she threw away the ring that her father gave too in her madness. Was that needed. It was for her husband. If she believed Arjun could be her husband she could have kept that ring in the chain. Sometimes belief helps.
