To everybody defending Maya n her actions...
Imagine u have a bf. Say ur best friend, whom u have a soft corner for. U have been together since childhood, lived literally ur whole lives together...until now...when that very guy gets a job. N his boss is exactly like Maya. Not using the word psycho here, coz many of u get offended. Then one fine day ur called to this person's place for a meeting. U stay up all night n then when u finally reach the office, ur made to wait 5 hours just coz u hugged ur best friend for spoke to him for what, 5 mins? Not only that, when the meeting finally happens, ur humiliated to the core. Oh but the boss has the full right to do it, such a troubled past she has had, and also why did u hug ur bestie? Such a grave crime u committed, u deserve the punishment!
The story doesn't end here. The boss, suddenly calls u for dinner to her place. Somebody who is a stranger, whom u have met only once or twice, who humiliated u so badly just earlier calls u to her place for chitchat. At the dinner table, woah woah!! She not only lets u eat in peace, but also points a knife at ur neck! A knife! Why should u be scared but,all this is normal. This happens with everyone close to their bestie. Then very subtly n creepily, the boss tells u she loves ur bestie. The same person u have a soft corner in ur heart for. But no, all good. Nothing to worry abt
Now consider another story...imagine urself to be a boy. Who is highly ambitious. U land a job in a magazine company n the boss falls in love with u. A boss like Maya. N she threatens to kill u n herself if u don't accept her love. So tension kya hai yaar, start loving her back. She needs it. Shes love deprived. Chahe isme Teri khud ki waat na lag jaaye.
Imagine, just imagine urself from arjun n saanjh's pov. Or from any normal person's pov. What would u do? Would u be able to deal with such a person? Would u hope that ur love, and only ur love would change her? And frankly, would ur love only suffice?
Its easy to sympathise with n call ur fav actor's character ' normal' when the evidences n whats being shown to us clearly point against it. I just don't understand what is the problem in calling someone a psycho, and why is it so offensive. 'Psycho' is a slang for somebody whos mentally challenged. Its an illness which is very much a serious thing. N u guys as Jen's fans have to be proud that shes playing this character so brilliantly, not get scared that shell become grey n ppl will hate her. It will make Jen's career graph phenomenal. Ppl will dislike, and that too only dislike the 'character', solely for her actions. So just stop worrying abt ppl hating maya, nobody...trust me NOBODY will hate her. Just enjoy the show!
