Uff I love Maya. No I adore her. Arjun. He fascinates me with each episode. So I was right. Vandana is Arjun's step mom. So we have a man in Arjun who believes his father was controlled by a woman and hence he lost his father's love and a woman in Maya who believes her mother should have controlled her father. In a nutshell both of them are kids at heart not knowing the realities of life.
Arjun doesn't want to be controlled by a woman or rather he wants a woman to do his bidding. That is why he makes Saanjh run behind him always. He ignores his mother irrespective of her being good to him just like how a mother should be not differentiating between him and Ayan. He loves to point finger at a woman.
Maya she wants to control a man. She simply doesn't like a man's touch because for her touch means control on her. The path of the man who doesn't want to be controlled by a woman and that of the woman who wants to control a man crosses each other. Look at the irony of things. It is their journey to discover their past, what went wrong in past and then correct it.
What I loved the most was the one up ante by both Arjun and Maya. Arjun is questioned on where he was between 10 and 1. Arjun gives resignation didn't bring Maya. But Maya goes after him. Arjun didn't want to bring her into mud by making others know that late night he was in a lady's bedroom. But look at her walk. She walks in the mud to reach him. Indicating she doesn't need any chivalry. If she is put in mud, she can walk on her own without falling or getting dirty. That walk in the mud in high heels and perfect white dress was a beauty with not even a drop of mud falling on her perfect white dress.
Then she tells him she needs his help to catch the culprit. Arjun plays hard to get. He stops when she says please. And voila the lady corrects the dialogue " Please help me to remove the blemish on you" . It was equal. Not one up, not one down. It was just perfect screenplay and dialogue. And Jenny and Kushal nailed it. Icing on the cake was the black specs they both keep trying to hide the real feelings from each other to maintain the one up ante. 😃
