Can someone plz tell me why is she scared of her father? And, how the hell she knew his presence just by listening to the footsteps? It could have been someonelse isn't it?Is that person her stepfather?😕

Haven't seen the past few Epis but I could reason it like this :

Maya's childhood wasn't a pleasant one. Her father must be torturing her, mentally and may be physically. So she's used to His footsteps approaching her.

He must've tortured her in a dark room, hence she's afraid of flickering lights and the dark too.

The way her mom was addressing him, I don't think he's her stepfather.

...

In this light, I can understand her Mom too is obsessed with her father. And he's the man who betrayed her, leaving her mom mentally sick. But what kind of a mother she is? Her husband tortures her kid, still she's like Yeh Tumhaare Papa Hai.

My foot. This entire family is so sick and dark. I feel strangled for sometime when I watch them.

Scary it is. And its done purposefully to set that horror and dark image. I love the thrill element there 😳

No he's not her step father , it's clear from how her mother keeps stressing on their relationship as father-daughter.

I guess Maya's father used to do horrible things to her to torture her physically ( hence she's averse to physical contact with any man ) and mentally ( hence her dual personality , extreme loneliness and other mental conditions to be unfolded )..

Maya is shit scared of him.

I still firmly hold the believe that she's just imagining or hallucinating him , or else it's just not possible for her to locate his foot steps in such a noisy crowdy environment.
