My feeling is that Vikram has been keeping a keen eye on Maya for very long.. and now that the whole situation also was neck deep for MJ, Vikram and MJ had a pact... it would have been better for MJ to even kill Maya.. but anyways Vikram desperately wanting Maya and mayas truth to Rudra about rishi was enough to even keep them separated.. surely MJ was releived that Rudra wont find Maya and aamir is making sure of that too and Vikram gets what he wants..
