Maya gave Rishi the taste of his own medicine. He wanted to blackmail her and possess her to boost his ego. Ismein kitna percent pyaar hai, bhagwan hi jaane smiley44 She smartly twisted the situation to bring everything unto Rishi.

Exactly, boys like Rishi think they are very smart and can make popat out of girls. But, this time he got back what he gave. Maya just gives back what she receives. Rishi was thinking that he will scare Maya and coerce her to submit to him, but Maya scared him out of his wits, by truly executing what he supposedly did.

Remember the first time Rishi had accidentally touched her hand, she poured on it a streaming cup of coffee right then and there. After that she seems to have mentally prepared herself for the ordeal so that she does not react like that at least on his face.

Its not just a battle against Roys, its a battle against herself too, where she has to cope with her fears, her discomfort and her disgust for them.

And she actually cut her wrist which shows to what extent she can go to ensue her revenge. When said masoomo ki bali chadti hai looking at her slit wrist, I felt she using herself as a bali in her own war.

Interesting point. That scene could mean that she is reflecting to sacrificing herself for this battle. It could also mean in the sense of an 'aahuti' she is giving in a yagya. Or it could also mean sacrificing Rishi's maasumiyat in this war.

There is an interesting parallel between Rishi and Rudra with regards to Maya. Rishi is not even sure about loving Maya but he is all set to possess her to satisfy his ego. Whereas Rudra's mind is full of Maya's thoughts, ever since she helped him break the doors of his fears. Her shades intrigue her, he wants to know her more, he can submit his ego in front of her, but he isn't sure it is love.

Rishi finds her beautiful and he is lost in that only, because he only finds love to be skin deep. But Rudra pays more attention to Maya's thoughts, her approach and her personality which defines her. To him beauty does not just define someone. So his love is more like soul deep and also the fact he relates with Maya on a personal level because of many experiences which they share in common.

MJ was so cruel to Antara, I felt bad for her. But that's the life she chose to live, she doesn't have the guts to turn tables like Maya and threaten to leave instead.

She is a modern age Gandhari, who could not teach her husband or her kid, as in Rishi to respect women. So she gets that kind of treatment. Her weakness as a woman, wife and mother, has cost some people their lives and for Maya - probably everything she held dear in life.

Of course, it could all of the above. Also note that Maya has slit her right hand wrist to trap Rishi in her plan. The way things are progressing, she being Krishna and Rudra being Arjun, that would mean Rudra would be her right hand. I am only trying to analyze unemotionally. I am not liking what this indicates at.

Rishi has a long way to go. His notions of love shows he still not mature, then what to expect under the guidance of MJ. But the way Maya said wada karo jab tak zinda ho mere saath rahoge, I feel Rishi is also instrumental to Maya in achieving her goal. First he would go Duryodhan's way, then his Duryodhan self would take a detour an become an Abhimanyu. He might die fighting her battle for her, MJ himself might kill him and suffer. Rudra once said Rishi was almost like his baccha.

This all is of course my speculations based on drawing parallels from the Mahabharat.

Completely agreed. I have no hopes from her. If she can't stand for herself, she can't stand up another.

Rishi is naive in certain ways because he has not experienced a lot in life. But, he is certainly not innocent. At present, he can only be Maya's puppet. As the story progresses, he can turn into her biggest hurdle or her ally.

Well, you just snatched words out of my mouth, you know Tiara. I have a feeling that there might come a time, when Rishi's obsession to obtain Maya might become a liability for Mrityunjay. He would not hesitate to bump him off. So, I think that this will be a turning point for Rudra, who would then do everything necessary to destroy Mrityunjay. And in the hindsight, they could show that Maya may have actually saved Rishi and hidden him to protect him from Mrityunjay, which Rudra would come to know later.

Everything is speculative as of now Tiara. I hope they play out the story, the way I think based on previous ITV experience with thrillers. But it may turn another way round.

Completely agreed. I have no hopes from her. If she can't stand for herself, she can't stand up another.

Well, you never know. Even Antara could surprise us in the end.

Interesting points Sohini.👍🏼 Especially @Green.

Sure, Rishi might be naive, but he isn't innocent. The boy has guts to fake suicide-attempt and blackmail a girl. All MJ traits. I'll wait for the day when he behaves like Rudra's brother.

@Grey: I understand why you wrote that. Because sab Moh-Maya hai 😆

Let's see what's in store for us. Anybody could be a surprise among the closed cards.

Ab bali chadne ka waqt aa gaya hai! And Maya has set the stage for the first attack on the Roy family. But before that lets recap on some of the highlights of tonight.

Rishi is tricked - Well I know, that there are many MayRa fans in this forum - but tonight's episode was all about MayRi (don't recall what their couple name is). So there are some points to highlight:

Rishi's need for Mrityunjay's name - Rishi takes pride in his dad. He aspires to be him one day. And so he cannot think of anything, outside his identity, just as Rishi. Whether telling Maya who he is or whether giving her a bracelet which is bought from his father's money.

Rishi loves himself - Rishi is not the kind to give his life for the attention of a girl. He is the kind to play tricks to attract girls, and girls fall for it. Maya is not any other girl. Rishi who runs away at the sound of a fire alarm will slit his wrist...never.🤔

Rishi is egoistic - Yes, like any other young and hot-blooded boy with a lot of money, he cannot handle being ignored, being pushed around, or being rejected. So that's when his father's negative traits surface within him as well, as we have seen in the past episodes

Maya always knew what Rishi is - a kid. She utilized his naivety and immaturity to her advantage. First, she turned the table on him by genuinely slitting her wrist and exposing his fake video to gain her attention. 2nd, she accused him of being a rich, bratty boy playing games - which he is - and his love to be just an infatuation - which it is. This egged Rishi to do the most stupid thing he could do - he said I love you, without realizing what weight those three words carry. After exposing and accusing him, Maya insults him further by not accepting his gift - which quite rightly she pointed out, belonged to his dad - and she wanted something from him - which he could call his own.

So he makes a ring out of a chocolate wrapper and wants to present it to her, and Maya garam lohe par hathora maar deti hai. And Rishi is pushed to propose Maya by her phone trickery to marriage. And, we now have Rishi in a fix. He is too young to get married, he does not understand the implications of what he did and Maya confuses him further by convincing him not to reveal their relation to his family, till their marriage is fixed and they should spend 10-15 days to get to know each other - with a solemn swear to never leave her and her name to be the last word he utters before he dies - oh, the boy is doomed. And Rishi's fate is sealed (reiterated again when Rudra tells him, that love only leads to death). I think they may take the Baazigar route - but we can never be too sure with CVs - because Maya does not come across as someone who kills for pleasure.

Mrityunjay manipulates Antara - Well, tonight we witnessed how Mrityunjay actually gets work done in his household using Antara. Playing on the weakness of her addiction and her love for him, he forces her to make Rudra attend his success party. Well, Mrityunjay is the kind of man who derives pleasure by torturing people utilizing their weaknesses, making them beg before him so that it appeases his toxic masculinity and displays the power he has on people - by making them bow before him. I guess this is how he used Antara 10 years back to manipulate Maya as well - and now he is doing the same to manipulate his son, Rudra. Why? because they are people who refuse to break or bow before him - so he utilizes their weakness against them - in Maya's case was a need for support and help and in Rudra's case, his mother. Well, with Maya's attack target being Antara - it kind of directly attacks Mrityunjay's control over his sons - because Antara was the safe passage for him to keep his sons under his thumb, without letting them know or feel that they are indeed being controlled. If Antara becomes unwell or hospitalized, or maybe sent to rehab, his power on his sons begin to wane - which risks them melting away like ice under Maya's influence - which he is not willing to risk. This further explains why Maya chose to target Antara - she is the water that Mrityunjay sometimes needs to pull the leash on his sons. Without her, well Rudra is free to go anywhere he wants and Rishi, well we can already see him slipping away from Mrityunjay's control.

Rudra, Ananya & Rishi - Oh, they give me S1 feels of Arjun- Saanjh - Arjun's brother (forgot name). Firstly, i love it when RuAn give all the browala feels- like they were giving - watching CID😆...and Rudra again hallucinating about Maya😉. But then RIshi comes in detailing out his 'shaadi' woes which Ananya is very excited to endorse and Rudra is dead against (we know why?). And Tom and Jerry bicker over the same- while Rishi is boxed into a corner by his new GF - Maya. Oh, how his expressions give off the - Chala Rishi kaidi banne wala feels. Bechara. Bura phasa Mrityunjay ka 'bachcha' (pun entirely intended).

Well, that's my rambling for tonight. Do share yours

Beautiful analysis of the episode... I really loved reading it.
