Alizia it will take a long time for itv industry to progress interms of content and quality. The world is moving towards digital world while indian industry still hesitates to work on digital platform but i wont blame the actors because the sysem itself is in such a state that it doesnt support digital platforms. In reality all will be against superstious beliefs but they will show the exact opposite in the shows. Audience mentality will change only when the makers change their way of depicting shows! Major culprit is trp system. We need better trp system to know the real success of a show

Kiru colors comes up with shows that have a good concept. Not all but some do. But eventually they r ruined thanks to TRP race n channel interference. SP doesn't give shows a chance n they don't hesitate before scrapping it off. Sony on the other hand is relatively better. But TBH I had a horrible experience with them also. I used to watch PB regularly n loved that show. Never missed a single episode. Once the show took a leap makers ruined it completely. Many of them were aware of historical facts since we have authentic documentation of Bajirao's era. Just to showcase Bajirao Mastani love story they messed it up badly n tried showing Kashi in a negative light. Outcome? Show shut down in less than two months after taking a leap. Infact most of post leap story was wrapped up in two one hour episodes. Worst part is Karan Suchak who played grown up Bajirao put in so much efforts to groom himself n prep for the role. Even went bald n all actors roped in post leap were really good but thanks to makers obsession with Mastani whole show was ruined. That's y I was sceptical about Sony too.

Read on twitter about BARC calculation which is based on sampling system...a sample of 10 is taken for every 1000 units...which means what 10 people watches is considered as a representative if what 1000 people watches...ie only 10 percent of entire population...what kind of a sample selection is this...i want to know what type of sampling procedure they follow...even a random sampling technique cannot ensure that those 10 samples are true representation of population because sample size is so less...i just wish this was research area...

Agree mandy balika vadhu uttaran are one among few shows which had good concept on colors intially but got ruined by trp and channel interference. That is why i said they dnt knw how to handle scripted shows. If the trps reduce even for one or two weeks the pressure falls on the cvs nd makers! The channel treat both the scripted and non scripted shows as same then what is the difference?! I dnt knw much about sony since i havnt watched any shows on tht channel except beyhadh. But colors need to stop interfering in the story.

Alizia I agree some youngsters too enjoy redundant stuff on TV but I still believe they r minority. Have a look at IF itself. Most of the top shows in IF ranking are popular online which means these r the shows youngsters are more gravitated towards. Also at home I don't think youngsters really have a say in matters of TV coz that is the time elders get a chance to relax n they want to watch what they prefer n youngsters end up watching it along with them too.

We should really do something about this TRP system.

I wonder how ratings are calculated for Pakistani tv shows. Two neighbouring countries yet the content that sells on the tv industry varies greatly.

Kiru Beyhadh will be an exception yaar warna even Sony has wrapped up shows unceremoniously bcoz my friend was a huge fan of EDKV n that show had an abrupt end despite being popular. So there is no guarantee that Sony will treat their shows well. Or any channel for that sake.

Television ne kaunsa recognition diya iss show ko? If u ask other shows fans they will call BP a flop show because of its trps. They will not listen to hatke beautiful story etc. In television world, a show is good only if gers trps.

If the show ends in a month or two as Web series, I don't think Jenshad will have any problem with it. After all, they too must be wanting a proper conclusion to this beautiful show

oh yeah absolutely! If it's a matter of few episodes then they might agree. I meant running the show properly on Voot. That I was saying they won't agree. Don't even get me started on fans talking about our trps. Our trp wasn't actually a flop to be honest until recently thanks to channels stupidity. It is not very easy to featured in top 20 continuously with heavy competitive slot. So that way I would say BP did deliver.
