Bepannah ~My thoughts~ ep 172 12.11.18 Clearing the cobwebs..
One's past has an impact on one's present and sometimes on one's future too. The episode touches upon Adi's past family life. We see Adi presently dealing with some buried issues of his past. Evidence of certain concealed events are dug up to make sense of his significant present, and who knows upon his oncoming future too. It will all will depend on how past issues are handled with care and consideration. How Adi with Zoya's help. find settlement and resolution? Or will he make matters worse by going against history and create fresh dispute for himself and his family?
Emotional trauma one suffers during the early impressionable years of life , often lie dormant but can have impact on people as adults at a later stage in life. That woman Kalpana Dadheech's name clearly triggers off Adi's on and off nightmares, of the discord between his parents in the past. It's a harrowing scene where an adolescent Adi is a witness to a scene unsuitable for a growing up child's ears and eyes. He deduces his father as one who does his own things, unconcerned about marriage or his children for that matter. We note that Harsh sees his relationship with his family as a bind, a control that he would rather break loose from and set himself free. One begins to get a rough idea that adventurous Harsh Hooda possibly fathers issues from two different women. Namely Anjana the presently seen wife and one Kalpana Dadheech?
So from an early age Adi has been in the role of offering moral support for his mother and brother. I imagine playing almost the fathering role to his younger brother Arjun too strengthened Adi in some ways. He has a defined protective trait for the vulnerable from a tender age. It cannot be ignored though that both Arjun and Adi lost out a happy part of their childhood to sour memories of their parental fights.
It's a relief to note that things have moved on and settled between Anjana and Harsh much. But till this woman Kalpana Dadheech's identity remains unsorted a certain fear prey's on Adi's mind. Good things have happened. Past bitterness has abated to a large extent. Adi has one loving wife Zoya who wakes him up to face each new day and walks with him in both rough and smooth times.
If Rajveer is the claimant of being Harsh Hooda's older son.. I can understand the bitterness and revenge syndrome within him. Till now I understand that Adi and Arjun including Anjana their mother have lived under the secure affluent name of Harsh Hooda. Whereas Rajveer seems to have been brought up by his nani in possible hard times scenarios, which instigates his revenge drive to get back at the Hooda's. To fight for the respectable Hooda name, which Adi , Arjun ,Anjana have but Rajveer and his mother were and are still denied.
Adi and Zoya's exchange of thoughts in the car is very realistic. Both have a lot thrown at them recently. Both currently act up a false scenario in their relationship. They are easily disheartened, especially as they have many questions! the answers to which are not easily accessible. The journey seems pointless as there is no discernible direction in sight. Adi's reassurance to a confused Zoya unpins their relationship as a married couple, that no matter how long winded, twisted ,diverted the journey may be ,as long as they are together they will arrive at their destination eventually.
Trespassing into the past, unlocking the door to Rajveer's previous Pune destination, is a moment of great significance to both Adi and Zoya. Their step into the past , once the faded person's face in the sepia photographs is clarified, will have an impact upon their relationship. The blurred face in the photograph is Harsh Hooda. As it is, Zoya will discover this before Adi. Zoya now stands at the cross roads whether to reveal the identity of the man deliberately blotted out to the viewer to Adi ? Predominantly, Zoya fears too, how will Adi react to this emotionally displacing shock? Will her secret this time put their marriage on the rocks? Questions like will Zoya actually have the nerve to tell Adi the truth, or will she shield him from trauma by maintain her silence?
It will boil down to how wise Zoya is in the matter as it is a sensitive matter that will throw not just Adi but the whole Hooda family asunder! Family unity matters much to her and Adi, hence all their guile act! The episode deals with the predicament.
Only by the looks of things to Rajveer, both Adi and Zoya now are seen to wage a united war against him through disguise and foul play. He reacts sharply to cover his back of being reported by Zoya to the police for being an absconder on the loose! So his astute nature makes him react swiftly before his and Nani's plan gets foiled being so close to avenging them selves of the Hooda's. Rajveer and nani move to teach Zoya a lesson she is likely to remember for the rest of her life for outsmarting Rajveer and his Nani!
Rajveer turns up at Hooda house with Nani! No secrets now he proclaims who he is! All the cobwebs are swept and moved out of everyone present's face! He is a Hooda! Zoya's secret that she kept from Adi to spare him emotional torture is twisted by Nani before all the Hooda's when she praises Zoya , says, she's indebted to Zoya for being the way maker for Rajveer and herself for get them together with the Hoodas!
Zoya much to her horror is seen to be the reconciliatory element who unites broken family relationships! All because its her inherent virtue that prompts her into do the right thing always!
So what will Zoya do to explain what she actually meant? It will be no easy task. The Hoodas will deem her, as an insider who betrayed the family! Especially Anjana, will see her as a happy family home wrecker! But most of all will Adi see? that once again Zoya has been drawn into a conspiracy plot against the Hooda's by Rajveer and his nani! In which his Zoya has no part?? Hamlet53 13. 11.18
