@aditi colors anyday better than SP. Colors played with the slot of BP, but they have not really interfered in the story except for maybe including all the festivals where script had to be tweaked to accomodate all of them. But SP wouldnt even have given BP a chance to show the story for what it is. I have still not forgotten EHT. It has been 4 years, but somewhere the pain is still there. Then there were other offbeat shows like Badthameez dil and the very recent Rishton ka Chakravyuh. Both sacked mercilessly, the only fault being they had strong FL and a story.
It is not BP's fault audience cant accept a story. The same thing happened to RKC where it was only complaints. Some had problems with 17 yr old girl falling for some 28 yr old guy though implicit romance was not shown. Some had problems why love story. Some had problems why drama. Narayani Shastri was doing a superb role of Satrupa. But audience couldnt take it.
Leave all these POW-Bandhi Yudh ke was supposed to be a 120 episode finite show. They even cut 7 episodes out of it.
One thing I know is that iTV cant appreciate stories, even if you give drama in it, no point, trp audience wont understand it. It simply wont survive. BP has survived 7 months and we have to be thankful to the channel for that, SP would have never allowed it with the trp it got at 9:30
