Part (1): My Tragedy~
In the glow of the moon sat a man with windblown sable coloured hair, a structured jawline covered by a dark 5'0clock shadow, his lips were cracked from lack of water yet still he sat, unmoving and partially uncaring as he glanced down at his gold rolex on his wrist. Sharp eyes the colour of a rich brandy traced the stars in the deep blue sky, his whole body became stiff when he heard the tingle of anklets, yet he didn't turn around. "You're home late" his brittle voice made the hairs on her body stand up
His earnest response allowed her heart to fill with hope as she moved closer to him, daring to reach out her hand and place it on his shoulder, though he flinched she would not relent in her pursuit to get closer to him. "You were worried about me" she stated
"No" he bit out "I wanted to lock the door and sleep but you always leave your keys at home, you are an addition in my life, not a necessity" he stood up then, facing her as he shrugged away her hand
"Why do you do this" her voice softened "You're only hurting yourself by pushing me away Aditya"
Aditya looked into her eyes, swirling around like melted chocolate that warmed his soul "I would only be pushing you away if you were close to me in the first place, you're not, therefore i'm not" he stopped mid-speech when her face crumpled
"You say the most awful things sometimes, why must you be so cold with me, i'm your wife" her nimble fingers now gripped the lapels of his blazer "Sometimes Aditya, I get tired with all your nonsensical rules, you never react to me like other husbands react to their wives, god you won't even touch me, am I that, that revolting to you" a harsh breath escaped her lips
He gritted his teeth, if only she really knew her affect on him. "I do not touch you Zoya, because I have no need to, you knew all of this when you married me so why must you bring it up again and again" he arched a brow "Don't put words in my mouth, I did not say you disgust me"
"Because sometimes I get lonely Aditya, sometimes I would like to be held, all my friends who are married they get-"
"Do not compare what we have to what your friends have, you're only hurting yourself, now if you'll excuse me" he stepped back, dismissing her "I need to sleep"
"It's okay" Zoya spoke up "If you become my tragedy, i'll still love you either way"
He had stopped at the doorway to listen to those last words she spoke then moved toward his bedroom. He didn't wish to respond, in reality he didn't have a response to give.
///-///
Aditya's eyes flew open, thunder and lightening, Zoya would be scared. He threw his legs over the side of his bed and began the steps towards her room
Zoya looked up, caramel coloured hair hanging in waves around her face, her eyes wide and bleary, sparkling as tears rolled down her cheeks "Aditya" she croaked
Seeing her in a ball on the floor, so innocent and in need of protection his chest ached, eyes shutting at the sound of her soft voice calling out his name, he longed to just hold her, caress her. "No" his voice is hoarse, though he wants to say yes.
"Please" she's stood up now, hands on his bare chest "I'm scared" she's trembling as she looks up to him, pleading
He is like a starving animal, longing for this moment as he wraps his arms around her, finally he was no longer fighting the urge to hold her close- he whispers into her hair "Me too" and he is, so undeniably terror stricken that this moment of weakness where he had allowed himself to comfort her will only bring about more sorrow than that which was already plaguing her pure heart.
Zoya nuzzled her face into the crook of his neck, sniffing in his scent of musky cologne and coffee. "I don't want to be alone"
He wanted to tell her that when he was around that she would never truly be alone, but that was wrong. He was around and yet loneliness still wrapped its cruel talons around her, digging into her skin and claming her as it's own. But she was his, unquestionably and irrevocably his. Even if he would never tell her so.
"Can I stay with you, just for tonight, please" Zoya fluttered her eyelashes, her smile widening when he nodded and led her to his bedroom she bounded onto it "Your bed is much comfier than mine, that must be why you have it all to yourself" she reasoned aloud, because what other reason could there be? She had to believe for her own sanity that he loved her like she loved him
"Hm" he nodded "Get some sleep" he led down beside her, his body taut as he felt her move closer to him, her hair splayed messily over his chest "Zoya, there is a pillow right beside you"
"I know" she ran her fingers over his collarbone making him shudder "I would just prefer to sleep here" her voice was thick with sleep and before he had a chance to respond she had fallen asleep
Aditya took this as an opportunity to inspect how her small form pressed up against him made him feel as if the whole world had suddenly fallen into place, for once as he slept he didn't think of the darkness instead he thought of how she had trespassed into his life and encroached his heart, she shouldn't have done it, shouldn't have been able to. Yet she had done so with an inconspicuous amount of stealth.
But, he would remain firm in his position, she was merely a part of his life, not his whole life and he would never love her. For Aditya Hooda was incapable of love.
Please do let me know your thoughts and opinions on this, i'm very excited and nervous already!:)
