Zoya was very clear with Wasim today. She doesnt want to get married. Not to Arshad not to anyone else. I guess this is something Aditya also has to hear. Aditya also has to understand. She doesnt want marriage. Today pain of Zoya came out in the open. Her scars in her marriage with Yash for five years. The man for whom she had left her family and of course that girl had shared many intimate moments with her husband in those five years. The very same intimate moments that burn her. Because the thought itself makes her remember he had shared those moments with another woman. The diary which Pooja wrote in which she had been mentioned as an incapable wife who didnt understand her husband she didnt have it in her to go through that accusation once again. I really felt for her when she told problem is not Arshad, problem is me. The girl's scars are not healed. When she talks about friendship what she seeks is that emotional bonding. Some kind of peace. Not what a husband expects from a wife. At this point she is unable to give a man that.
She has created an identity in work and let whoever be the man Wasim put in front of her, she knows that guy will support her in her career, but how long a man can wait for a woman without conjugal relation. Her dialogue to Wasim today made it clear to me, this girl cannot go close to a man in an intimate way at this point and she herself is not sure when she can do it, and if ever she will be able to do it.
Zoya's decision with heart was wrong. So is Wasim's decision with head. To think once the woman is married she will oblige the man and then everything will fall into place. When people force her to give conjugal rights to her husband. When in the initial phase he will be fine, but as time goes by patience vains, first indirect cues will be there, then direct cues and live in a marriage suppressing her feeling maybe giving him just her body out of obligation. That's what Wasim is pushing Zoya into.
If Adi had proposed her, she might have rejected she might have spoken to him her point of view and then maybe they would have taken the decision jointly. Whether to get married, wheither to stay friends and give their relation time or remain just friends. Neverthless one thing is sure if Adi had proposed she would have spoken her mind.
Now with the mess Wasim is going to create Adiya marriage will happen. A marriage in which Zoya is not prepared to give conjugal rights. How will it be for Adi, will he stray or will he stay true to her. For her he might be ok with friendship, but what about the world which will make her see him as her husband. How much she will endure, whether she will adapt or walk out. It is an interesting scenario destiny is bringing up for Adiya by literally pushing Zoya into a marriage which she doesnt want.
On a side note I enjoyed the way Zoya taught Adi to look at his parents from the prism of love. Actually he taught her friendship and she is teaching him love. To have someone in your life who will never leave your hand. Pooja didnt get love because she couldnt give love, Yash didnt get friendship because he couldnt give friendship. Just like Pooja and Yash fulfilled their incomplete part, Aditya and Zoya complete their incomplete part.
