After Aditya realized his love for Zoya, he decided to propose to her immediately. Somewhere down the heart, he is scared whether Zoya will accept his love or not because he is not sure if Zoya feels the same way for him as he feels for Zoya. He makes sure everything is perfect, the carpet, the table, flowers, etc. because little bit of imperfection will make him even more nervous. When Zoya said she doesn't want to sleep and spend each and every moment of those 2 days with him because he will leave her after 2 days, he saw Zoya's pain in her eyes. Even if she was not in her senses, she still was hurt because he was leaving her. When she tried to tie his hands with the 'phoolon ki hathkadi', when she made him to promise that he will never leave her, he realized he has a special place in her heart and she values him the way he values her. The only difference is she values him as her best friend and he values her as the love of his life.
In the car when he heard the title song, he gathered the courage to express his love to her but while proposing, he didn't look into her eyes because he was still scared of rejection. After proposing to her, he waited for her reaction. Her pin drop silence scared him, what if she is hurt. He looked at her and saw her fast asleep. He heaved a sigh of relief instead of feeling disappointed.
In Zoya's bedroom, she asked him if he will hit her because she keeps calling him her best friend. He said he will never hurt her. That means he will be fine if she treats him only as a best friend for the rest of her life. He wants to spend his entire life with her even if there's only friendship between them but he wants her to accept his love. He is not like Pooja who didn't understand his love for her, expected more from him, got disappointed and gave up without communicating about her problems with him and looked for love outside marriage. For him, his love for her and her care for him is more than enough.
Next time when he will propose to her, he will look into her eyes and say those 3 golden words because that time, he will see love for himself in her eyes. At that time, he will not be nervous or scared. He will be confident that her answer will be in the affirmative.
