@Mandy, these issues on Zoya's religion are raised more after her marriage. Before marriage, Zoya was never shown offering namaz 5 times a day. They showed her going to mosque only once in the show. Her religion was never debated much. People don't have issues with her marrying a Hindu. But they expected a Muslim wedding in spite of knowing Islam won't allow Adi to marry her due to his religion. Then they wanted court wedding and I feel cvs should have shown court wedding even after Hindu wedding to make the show logical. The Hindu marriage spoiled the moods. Then Zoya putting bindi and other hindu stuff disappointed them even more.

This debate on religion is actually disappointing...the first place where both adithya and zoya went for prayer is a church...not temple or mosque...there itself the secular mentality of the makers was clear because it was the first time on itv leads where shown in a church...they have showed us Raman and Eid as separate tracks...similarly janmastami and now navratri is also shown...the secular mentality of zoya and makers should actually be applauded...

It's truly not their fault that all Indian festives are falling now. They can't show Muslim prayers when Indian festivals are going on. When ramzan was going on Zoya took an episode to explain to aditya what the holy month meant. Then they had biryani next eid. When next eid comes I'm sure it will be celebrated.
And yeah subha I noticed too that Zoya was standing away. Adi noticed but he didn't call her. It was shown in respect to her religion

In Tuesday's episode when the idol of the Goddess was brought inside and aarti was happening, Zoya stood from a distance and prayed to Goddess. None of the family members called her and that was shown because she's a Muslim.

I agree a balance between both the religions are needed but then BP has always respected Muslim religion too. They made 2 whole tracks on Ramzan and Eid (though Eid was an excuse for party). The problem with this fandom is impatience. They can't wait and jump to conclusions easily. I am sure in forthcoming episodes, they will show Muslim religion customs too.

The look n feel of Zoya before marrying Adi was that of a Muslim n the usage of Urdu words r missing. A nikaah was impossible between Adi n Zoya unless Adi converted which would never be the case. Even in real life, SRK Gauri, Hrithik Suzanne were married as per Hindu traditions but SRK n Suzanne Khan never gave up Islam to marry their Hindu partners but they got married as per Hindu traditions to respect their partner's religion which did not require them to make any compromise on theirs. Court wedding is just a formality n I don't think that should be an issue here. But trust SM fans to make an issue for nothing. I am just glad I am not active there warna the madness I hear about from u guys is enough to make me dizzy 🤣
