I don't understand where people are getting these ideas from.
The photo was Adi with a woman, who I'm pretty sure was Pooja, going by her sari and even her face looked a bit like her. It's just these videos are segments which are not even of high quality, so it looks a bit odd.
Zoya picked up the photo and looked concerned. A mixture of surprise and concern. Surprise because Adi is still carrying Pooja's photo and concern because she knows what he must be feeling like and understands that if she brings up the subject again, the guy will absolutely break apart (which he already did, all alone, but now he's hanging by a thread).
I also don't understand why people are finding Adi's behaviour strange. The guy lost his wife, hated her after finding out about her EMA, then her illegitimate child with Yash, and after that gets a harsh reality check from his mother-in-law about how he wasn't a perfect husband, and then he got blamed for his wife aborting their child. Can you imagine the guilt from that accusation? From that thought alone? It wasn't even his fault but he doesn't believe that now. He was blamed by everyone around him who he trusted the most, to the point where he now believes it. He's broken. Absolutely broken, and his phase now reminds me of Zoya post-suicide. Only, he now believes that he's worthless and doesn't deserve anyone. He keeps repeating that he's not a child to everyone. The fact that Sakshi and Pooja accused him of being a child in the relationship and him being at fault has broken him. He's not himself because he thinks that if he is his child-like self, then he will just end up hurting others around him. It's sort of his defence mechanism, both for himself and for the people that he loves. He doesn't want to be close to anyone for fear of hurting them because of his childishness.
Now one can argue that running away is the very definition of being childish. But in his mind, he thinks he's doing the best for everyone and himself. And honestly, he does need the space and time to figure himself out. Maybe not staying in touch with his family is childish on his part but atleast he was looking over them. But he has to come to terms with what has happened and he hasn't done that yet, which is why he is like this. It's like he's fought and fought in a battle and now he's been beaten and all that is left is a lifeless body. He's alive physically but deep down, his soul was stripped away by those accusations.
So I guess you could say, he's running from himself. But of course, Zoya will be the one to bring him back. He brought her back before and now it's her turn.
In terms of who's calling him, I was under the impression that his friend or travel agent was calling him, regarding his flight. That's all.
