"You have to come with me" Pooja insisted wrapping both her arms around Aditya's arm pleading innocently.

Aditya sighed, he looked down at his phone then turned to her. "Okay, but we have to be quick. I promised to join dad for lunch" he informed.

"Thank you!" she squealed pressing a kiss to his cheek.

"The things I do for you" he muttered as he walked over towards his car unlocking the doors and climbing inside with Pooja sliding into the passenger seat.

"Okay, so this company is like the best company here in Mumbai" Pooja explained, "Like you wouldn't believe some of the weddings they covered. Best wedding planners in Mumbai, that's why I've booked this appointment. I know they're going to make the wedding perfect".

Aditya rolled his eyes as she continued to babble on with herself, he parked up outside as they arrived outside Zosh. He stepped outside, the building before him was at least 12 floors, the exterior of the building was all glass.

Aditya followed Pooja into the building impressed, as classy and beautiful as it was outside it was equally stunning inside. The walls featured wedding, venue, banquet pictures as they walked down the hallway. Pooja pushed through the glass double doors smiling as a bubbly receptionist stood gleaming at them.

"Welcome to Zosh! I'm Anikka, how can I help?"

"Hi, I've got an appointment this morning" Pooja informed excitedly.

"Yeah, what time?"

"10.45am" Pooja informed.

"Ah okay, just follow me through" Anikka nodded and led them into a small conference room, "Ma'am will be with you soon, so make yourselves comfortable" she informed. "There's refreshments available on that side, if you'd like anything" she pointed.

"Thank you" Pooja thanked her, Anikka then excused herself leaving them in the room.

"Wow" Pooja exclaimed as she looked around, she approached the large floor to glass windows looking outside, "It's such a stunning view from here" she glanced over her shoulder only to find Aditya lost in his phone.

"Aditya, I brought you here to help. Not lose yourself in your phone" Pooja huffed exasperated.

He hummed nonchalantly, clearly not having listened to what she was saying exactly. Pooja walked over snatching the phone from his hand and rested her hands on her hips. "Aditya Hooda!"

"Pooja yaar, I'm listening. It's a bit rubbish if the wedding planner isn't here on time" he informed as he looked around, "Give me my phone back"

"Promise to put it away until we've finished here"

"I promise" he lied, unknown to Pooja he had crossed his finger behind his back.

Pooja smiled handing his phone back and looked around the room admiring the pictures featuring on the wall, she stepped closer scrutinising them and already making a mental list to tell the wedding planner of what she'd like to see.

Aditya smiled as she started pointing to the pictures and telling him what she'd like at the wedding, he smiled faintly seeing the excitement and put his phone away. He joined her side glancing at the photos Pooja was pointing to.

"I apologise for the delay..."

Aditya tensed hearing a familiar voice, he turned around and looked surprised as he saw the woman before him. He swallowed thickly staring blankly. Zoya he thought.

His eyes perused the woman before him unknowingly, she had completely changed. The woman before him didn't look like the woman he'd once known.

The long wavy hair that once reached the small of her back was now replaced with short curly locks that reached past her shoulders, her simple kurti and jeans replaced by a dress shirt and a pencil skirt, her once make up free face was now dusted with a little blusher, red lipstick and her eyes seemingly larger with the smoky effect.

Zoya had not expected Aditya Hooda to be her client, she had not ever expected to see him again. She felt her heart racing as she stared at the man before her, the once clean shaven boy had completely changed. His jeans and casual t-shirt replaced by a three-piece suit, he now sported a closely trimmed beard.

Pooja had not noticed the change in the air between the two, she stepped forward holding out her hand.

"Hi, I'm Pooja and this is Aditya" she introduced herself and Aditya smiling brightly. "You'd planned my cousin's wedding and we loved it, I told my mother I wanted you to plan my wedding" she explained.

Zoya broke out of her trance and shook Pooja's hand, she turned to Aditya and held out her hand, "It's a pleasure" she informed looking between the two trying to maintain a professional composure.

Aditya shuddered, after 8 years the feelings came rushing back. He clenched his jaw trying to keep himself in check. Zoya had not gone unaffected, she could feel it when their hands touched, she pulled her hand back and averted her eyes focusing on Pooja.

For the next hour, Zoya attempted to focus on what Pooja wanted for her wedding however she couldn't stop her train of thoughts.

She had so many questions, and the answers only Aditya could answer.

She silently and unwillingly perused Pooja, the woman was certainly beautiful, she had long wavy locks that reached the small of back, she donned on a beautiful salwar kameez, silver bangles adorning her wrist, Zoya hadn't missed the engagement ring on her finger. It was a beautiful round centre diamond with four claws, eighteen round diamonds running across either side of the white gold band. She could feel his eyes on her from across the table where they'd sat down to discuss what Pooja would like for the wedding. She pondered as to why Aditya wasn't giving his input, from what she recalled...She shook her head mentally, she wasn't going to go back there. It had been 8 long years. He was different and so was she.

Aditya followed her with his eyes, she must have known but she didn't show it instead she focused on her job, he noted she was averting her eyes each time she snuck a glance over at him.

"I'm even more excited now" Pooja exclaimed, "Thank you so much, Zoya. It's going to be perfect" she stood from the table they'd been sitting on and shook Zoya's hand. "It's going to be perfect, right?" she glanced over at Aditya grinning widely.

Aditya broke out of his thoughts and nodded his head absentmindedly, he hadn't a clue what Pooja had asked and he knew Pooja wouldn't let the matter go if she noticed him being so lost. He pulled out his phone noting the time and turned to Pooja, "We should finish up here, I've got somewhere else to be".

"Oh yes" Pooja recalled Aditya promising to meet his father for lunch, she smiled once again at Zoya and thanked her once again.

Aditya stared at Zoya as Pooja bid her bye, he watched her slowly turn and meet his eyes after the hour meeting.

"Mr Hooda, it was nice meeting you" she masked her expressions holding out her hand.

Aditya had held himself back from narrowing his eyes, he nodded and shook her head. They held one another's gaze as their hands touched, Zoya grated her teeth together pulling her hand back. She plastered a smile as they walked past and out the doors, her facade fell as soon as the doors closed.

A heavy weight settled on her heart as she tried to register the fact that Aditya Hooda was in Mumbai and so close.

Zoya's mind betrayed her taking her back to the last memory she had of Aditya Hooda, tears burned her eyes as she thought of seeing his back as he'd walked out.

She closed her eyes and her blood boiled as she thought of the night, she wouldn't ever forget the night he'd walked out.

She sighed heavily pinching the bridge of her nose reminding herself it's been 8 years and he had moved on.

Zoya jumped as she felt a knock on the door, she closed her eyes inhaling sharply gathering herself together, she turned around opening the door and smiled faintly.

"Yash" she murmured.

"Hey" he stepped inside pressing a kiss to her cheek, "You disappeared quickly this morning" he told her, "I've bought lunch" he walked over taking a seat placing their lunch down.

"So, why did you run off so quickly this morning?" he asked.

"I had Ananya Singhania to meet this morning" she answered joining him, she watched as he opened up their lunch boxes and handed her the chopsticks.

"I've bought your favourite" Yash told her with a smile. "Ananya Singhania is our bridezilla of this year" he added.

She hummed nonchalantly, Yash frowned looking at her, "You're very quiet today, is something wrong?"

Zoya shook her head crossing her fingers on her lap then grabbed herself the box and dig into her lunch trying to keep herself occupied.

Aditya sent a text to his father cancelling lunch, he dropped Pooja off at her house then returned home.

He ignored his mother calling out to him, he entered his bedroom and locked the door behind him. He was finding it difficult to believe that he had just seen Zoya.

The same Zoya he had walked out on eight years ago, he shrugged out of his jacket yanking his tie and chucking it.

The memories came rushing back, he was reminded of what he'd walked out on. The feelings were as strong today as they were eight years ago. He had made himself stronger, he had changed, he had wiped every evidence of Zoya from his life.

"Are you challenging me?" Aditya arched his brows. "Mrs Hooda" he smirked.

"What do you think?" Zoya smugly smiled at her husband.

She laughed as he leaped forward, she swiftly moved away before he could catch her giggling as his attempts.

"C'mon Mr Hooda, you seriously cannot be so rubbish can you?" Zoya teased playfully as she ran from him. "Why do you want exercise if you cannot simply run and keep up"

Aditya fuelled with determination ran, he'd had his wife have her little playtime and now she was going to regret challenging him and teasing him. Zoya helped as he caught from behind, his arm banded around her waist and his face burrowed between the hollow of her neck.

"You were saying...?" he brushed her hair to the other side exposing her neck, lowering his head he pressed a gentle kiss. Zoya closed her eyes, butterflies skittering excitedly at the familiar passionate burning within her. She pinched her eyes closed biting on her lower lip as he continued to nuzzle and pepper gentle kisses sizzling her senses, awakening her desires.

"Aditya..." she murmured, it sounded like a moan at the same time. She loved the feel of his shaven chin across her skin, the gentle press of his lips and the teasingly nip he'd do from time to time. She turned around facing him, Aditya smiled cradling his wife's cheek and lowered his head catching her mouth.

She tiptoed pressing her body against his, her arms entwining around his nape as she reciprocated. Her fingers thread through his hair, she moaned feeling the bite on her lower lip, Aditya smirked as she pressed herself closer.

"I want you now" he pulled back, his voice thick and hoarse. Zoya only smiled stepping forward and kissing him once again, she giggled as he lifted her and she wrapped her legs around his hips. He headed towards their bedroom smiling teasingly as he kicked the door closed behind him.

He didn't wait to even walk towards their bed, he simply undressed his wife pressed against the wall and she'd helped him out of his clothes, along the way he'd marked her body with kisses and love bites ensuring she'd remember their love when she showered.

Zoya clutched onto his shoulders, her nails biting into his skin as he made love to her. She threw her head back groaning as he took her hard and fast right against the wall, he watched enthralled loving the look of pleasure that radiated from his wife's face, her lips parted as she gasped and soft moans escaped. Aditya grated his teeth, a rough groan escape as he burrowed his head into the hollow of her neck as he brought them to a climax.

Zoya rolled over pressing her head against her husband's chest as they lain in bed together having made love thrice now. She was exhausted but so damn satisfied.

"I love you" Aditya whispered as he always did before he dozed off, he found her temple and pressed a gentle kiss and closed his eyes with a sigh.

A small smile came to his lips as he heard his wife respond to his love and pressed a kiss to his jaw before cuddling into him and sleeping.

Yet today when their hands touched, he could feel her all over again, he could smell the soft jasmine perfume she'd always worn, he could feel the softness of her hair teasing his cheeks as she cuddled to him, he felt the soft supple lips that brushed his jaw every night before they'd slept, her soft mains, her confession, her love for him echoed in his ear.

Today once again, he felt like he had lost her all over again.

When he walked out of the room, he felt like he was once again losing her.

He shook his head, she wasn't his to be lose again. She wasn't.

Aditya's knees buckled as he felt a rip roaring pain within him almost grasping his heart and pulling it out. He closed his eyes as he thought of the woman he'd once loved immensely.

A lone tear escaped the corner of his eye as he opened them and stared ahead blankly.

Zoya called it a day by 3pm, she couldn't continue working. She failed to focus on what her clients wanted, she was still trying to wrap her head around the fact that Aditya Hooda was here at the same time. She grabbed her handbag sending a quick text to Yash saying she's finishing early, then walked out of the building.

She climbed into her car and drove away, the feelings she'd locked away returned in full force. She focused on the road, her fingers tightly gripping onto the steering wheel, she had promised herself she wasn't going to ever let Aditya Hooda hurt her, she had promised to never allow him to affect her again, then why did it hurt now?

Why did she feel like her heart was being battered all over again?

Zoya bit down on her lower lip determined not to cry, despite her eyes stinging.

"Aditya, stop" Zoya chuckled as he pulled her back into bed. "There's someone at the door" she jokingly smacked his cheek and climbed out of bed seeing him frowning.

"Aditya, get up and see who's at the door" she told him as she grabbed his shirt slipping into it and headed to the bathroom.

He groaned cursing the person as he could hear the doorbell ringing again, Aditya climbed out of their bed pulling on his jeans and headed downstairs without bothering to even wear a shirt. He unlocked their front door and frowned seeing his father stood outside.

"Dad" he murmured.

Harsh glanced over his son in distaste, he noted the mark on his son's shoulders and chest looking away with a sigh. "You might have forgotten us son, but we haven't. Are you going to let me in?" he asked.

Aditya cleared his throat opening the door wider allowing his father inside, he smiled as Arjun stepped in after his father.

"Arjun" he moved forward hugging his younger brother who seemed equally delighted to meet his older brother.

"Aditya, at least go put something on" Harsh stated.

Aditya nodded and hurried to the laundry room, he grabbed one of his ironed shirts from the hanger and slipped into it. He joined his father and brother in the hall where they were still stood around.

"Dad, come sit" he told his father, he smiled happy to see his father here. He knew his father couldn't stay angry for long.

"Your mother misses you" Harsh started as he sat down from across his son.

"Just mom?" Aditya questioned.

Harsh didn't answer, instead he continued "Do you miss her?"

"Of course, I do" he replied.

"When do you plan to stop acting out and returning home?"

Aditya narrowed, his muscles tensed answering his father, "You know why I left home. This isn't me acting out, this is me choosing my wife".

Harsh shifted forward, "Why don't you see she's the cause of you breaking your relationship with us?" he hissed sharply.

"Dad, Zoya didn't do anything. You were the cause, you asked me to choose between you or my wife. I chose Zoya" he answered.

Harsh scoffed standing up and looked over at Arjun, "Is this why you begged me to come? I knew I shouldn't have listened to you" he turned to Aditya, "Why don't you see you're going against your family for that..."

"Dad" Aditya intervened cutting him off sharply, he noticed Zoya stood near the top of the stairs, she looked at him sadly, she wasn't feeling sorry for herself but for him. She was hurting for him. He exhaled and looked between his father and brother.

"Please leave" he told them.

Harsh noticed Zoya and looked over at Aditya, "You're pathetic" he grated and looked over at Zoya, "Remember, you stole him from us Zoya. You've not only gotten the curse of a mother, you have the curse of a father" he stated and walked out.

"Bhai" Arjun approached his brother touching his shoulder, "Don't listen to what dad is saying, he's just missing you and he's a little angry".

"Angry for what, Arjun?" Aditya questioned, "I just loved and married the woman I wanted to spend my life with"

"Just ignore him" Arjun responded and looked over at Zoya, "It's good to see you, bhabhi".

Zoya offered a small smile climbing down the steps joining her husband's side, "Aditya, maybe you should go see your mom" she suggested.

"I will, but not when he is home" he agreed.

Arjun understood and said, "Bhai, I'll let you know when it's going to be a good day" he then bid bye to both them excusing himself.

"What had we done wrong?" Aditya questioned Zoya. "We'd only loved".

Zoya cradled Aditya's cheek, he was hurting. "Aditya, its going to take some time for them. We've married without telling them, and your dad had looked embarrassed in front of relatives and friends as he'd already promised that he would get you married to one of his friend's daughter" she reminded. "He's bound to be angry".

Aditya sighed, he slipped his arms around her pulling her close, "Why are you able to understand them as well?" he murmured. "You're too good" he told her.

She had not once blamed his parents for not accepting her, she hadn't once complained about their dislike for her, she'd simply justified it with reasons.

Aditya pressed a kiss to her forehead enveloping his wife in his arms.

Why, Aditya...She thought inwardly as she slumped down on the edge of her bed. Tears cascaded down her cheeks at the thought of him marrying someone.

Her body shook with her cries, she screamed unable to hold back the pain coursing through her entire body. She crumpled onto her knees as she thought of Aditya settling down with someone else. She failed once again, she still loved him immensely. Even with the eight years of separation, she still had feelings for him.

~~~~~~~~~
Aditya silently watched noting Zoya refusing to spare a glance at him, she'd only just looked at him briefly for a moment when he and Pooja arrived to look at the venues she'd selected. After that, he hadn't once noticed her looking at him. It seemed like she was avoiding him.
He took the opportunity to peruse her once again, today she'd donned on a black Antonio Berardi one shoulder crepe dress with a slit that fitted her petite figure hugging her curves in all the right places. Her short hair loosely curled bouncing on the tops of her shoulder.
She maintained a professional attitude, it was as if they were truly just strangers meeting for the first time.
"So, what do you think of this?" Zoya glanced over at Pooja avoiding Aditya completely.
"I love this venue, its awesome" Pooja twirled around, "I could see myself coming down those steps and walking to the mandap, with such a centre everyone will be looking at me" she gushed and turned to Aditya, "What do you think?"
Aditya smiled faintly nodding his head, he hadn't really heard what she said. He'd been too busy watching Zoya.
"You're absolutely useless at this" Pooja rolled her eyes. "I think I'm going to bring my mom to come check this out" she smiled, "It is beautiful, stunning really" she added.
"You should go to the Manzil venue near Delhi" Aditya told Pooja, he stole a glance over at Zoya who'd tensed hearing the name. "I hear it's a fantastic place".
Pooja thought over his suggestion, Zoya glanced over at him for the first time since they'd arrived and frowned.
Aditya stared right at her, almost challenging her to look away.
Zoya wondered why he would have suggested Manzil as they had married there with their small group of friends supporting them. Did he want to create new memories and rewrite over their past?
"What do you think Zoya?" Pooja questioned, being a wedding planner she must have heard of Manzil.
Zoya broke away from looking at Aditya and turned to Pooja, "It's a wonderful place, small and comfortable. Perfect for small weddings".
"Oh, small? I want a big one" Pooja smiled.
Aditya excused himself hearing his phone ringing, he noted it was his father calling. He had yet to inform anyone from his family Zoya was in Mumbai.
"Dad" he answered his phone.
"Aditya, you've been cancelling any lunch plans we've made" Harsh informed, "I'm due to be out of town for the next couple of days, I was thinking maybe we could..."
Aditya didn't hear the rest of it, Pooja joined beside him and he watched Zoya walking in the other direction with Yash Arora.
"Aditya" Harsh called.
"I... I'll speak to you later, dad" he mumbled cutting the call. "Done?" he questioned Pooja.
"Yeah, I think everything is slowly coming together" she replied.
Aditya looked over where Zoya and Yash were walking alongside one another as they walked in the other direction.
"Aditya, let's go" Pooja tapped his shoulders.
He hummed nodding his head, however his eyes continued to follow Yash and Zoya.
Pooja turned heading out the exit expecting Aditya to follow, she started going on about the wedding and the plans she had in mind. She turned around not getting a response and noted he wasn't even behind her. She huffed shaking her head.
"Sometimes Aditya Hooda is just confusing" she muttered pulling her phone out and started calling him but it went unanswered. She assumed he may have gone to use the men's room and leaned against his car waiting for him.
Zoya was grateful when she was only with Pooja when Yash arrived, she hadn't expected him to be coming here however he needed to speak to her. Pooja had told her she'd be in touch about the venues and Zoya walked away with Yash.
"How's your schedule for the next couple of days?" he questioned.
"Well, busy" she smiled. "I am now the most demanded wedding planner"
Yash cleared his throat.
"And you as well" she laughed. "Okay, so what did you want to speak about?" she pushed open the double doors heading into the meeting room she'd booked at this venue as another client was due in another 20 minutes. She settled down on the chair whilst Yash leaned against the round table facing her.
Aditya frowned as he watched from where he stood Zoya and Yash talking, he noted the comfortableness she sat so closely, Zoya seemed to sigh and Yash leaned down touching her shoulders, Aditya didn't miss the way Yash rubbed his thumbs across her skin.
Aditya clenched his jaw and pushed into the room surprising both Yash and Zoya.
Zoya stood and Yash straightened shocked when he saw Aditya Hooda coming towards him, he didn't have time to react when Aditya swung his fist across his jaw.
"Aditya" Zoya screamed pushing him away.
"How dare you touch her?" Aditya yelled moving forward when Zoya pressed her hand on his chest glowering.
"What do you think you're doing?" she questioned sharply.
"Zoya, he is..."
"Don't, it's Miss Siddique to you" she cut him off.
Aditya grated his teeth and glared over at Yash who'd straightened and looked shocked seeing him here.
"Mr Hooda, let me remind you that you are only a client" she crossed her arms in front of her.
Aditya scoffed, "I must have been mad thinking for a moment that... you still maybe had feelings..." he shook his head.
"Why would you think that, Mr Hooda?" she maintained a straight face.
Aditya didn't answer, he simply looked between Zoya and Yash.
"I think you should leave" Zoya informed, "Pooja is probably waiting for you, at least don't make her wait for you".
Aditya looked confused wondering what she'd meant, before he could question further Zoya turned away facing Yash.
He clenched his fists by his side glaring once more in Yash's direction and turned leaving the room and headed outside. What had she meant by not making Pooja wait?
~~~Continued~~~

"Aditya, where were you?" Pooja frowned as he joined her outside.

He didn't answer as his attention was drawn to Zoya and Yash exiting the building together, Zoya glanced at him shooting him a glacial glare and moved towards the black car that seemed to be waiting for them.

He turned away walking around his car and was about to climb inside when a voice echoed garnering his attention.

"Mama. Mama" A young girl climbed out of the car and hurried towards Zoya embracing her around her waist and looked up gleefully.

Zoya tensed enveloping her daughter, she slowly looked over to where Aditya stood frozen. She looked away from him, "Baby let's first get you inside" she told her daughter walking towards the car. Zoya crouched down buckling her daughter in and closed the door, she stole another glance over to where Aditya stood.

Aditya continued to look at them shocked.

"Yash, let's go" she told him and climbed into the passenger seat. Thankfully, she hadn't need to wait for her client as her client called and cancelled due to a personal emergency.

"Aditya" Pooja called out to him. "Yaar, where are you always lost?" she huffed.

He didn't respond, instead he climbed into the car and headed towards her house, he dropped Pooja off home without a word. He didn't respond once to her questions.

"When did you know?" Yash questioned once Zoya had changed her daughter and placed her on the sofa cuddled up with a small blanket watching tv.

Zoya walked into her kitchen grabbing herself a cup and switched the kettle on, "Would you like a cup?" she asked.

"No, Zoya. I'd like to know when you knew" Yash answered.

"A couple of weeks ago, when Pooja arrived for her first appointment with him" she leaned on the counter staring at him.

"And you didn't think to tell me?" he asked.

"Yash, I... I wanted to but then I thought why should I? Aditya is no longer a part of my life. He'd walked out eight years ago and didn't look back" she replied.

"How isn't he a part of your life?" Yash asked. "He's been a part of it always" he reminded.

Zoya looked over at her daughter innocently laughing unaware of the storm that was about to come raiding through their small happy life.

"He's... angry" she looked at Yash.

"You want to explain this to me?" Aditya questioned holding out his phone.

Zoya took his phone and looked at the photos her husband had been sent.

"Why are you hugging him? And why does it look like you were about to kiss?" he grabbed his phone back placing it on the counter.

"Aditya, it's not what it looks like"

"Then please explain it, Zoya. I'm waiting" he crossed his arms in front of him.

"Why are you speaking like that?" she questioned.

"How would you like me to speak to you?" he asked sarcastically.

"Aditya, please..."

"Did you kiss him?" he asked.

Zoya swallowed thickly, "he... He kissed me but I pushed him away. He got the wrong idea".

Aditya stiffened, his body shook with anger and hurt. He swiftly turned and shoved everything off the counter, cutlery clanged onto their titled floor, plates and glasses shattered, water spilled from the now broken kettle.

Zoya jerked back afraid. She hadn't seen this side to her husband.

Aditya still fuelled with anger punched the wall.

"Aditya, please listen to me" she moved towards him seeing he was hurting himself.

"Don't touch me" he shouted moving away from her. "He kissed you and you let it happen!" he pointedly argued. "You let it happen. You let another man touch you, you let another man kiss you" he grated out.

"You're misunderstanding, Rajeev is just a friend. He moved to kiss me which I wasn't expecting and I pushed him straight away"

"Are you sure you didn't pull him to you?" he snapped. "You've been spending a lot of time with him, lately" he added.

"You know his sister is getting married and he's asked for my help. I even told you"

Not thinking clearly, he questioned "Did you want to f**k him as well? Did you wonder what it would be like with him?"

Zoya glared and swung her palm across his cheek, "Don't you dare! Don't you dare say that".

"I say it and you smacked me. He kisses you and you push him?" he frowned.

"Is this your trust in me?" she questioned.

"You see, Zoya. For the last couple of weeks, I see you spending more time with him more than me. I saw you both the other day at the lobby of that Marino hotel" he informed, "I was there to meet dad and there you both were laughing and he had his arms around you. I brushed it off saying it was just friendship. But now, this all makes sense" he pointed to his phone, he grabbed it and swiped to the next photographs.

"I continued to trust you and believe you despite all of these" he swiped the screen showing her the numerous photographs. "Picture after picture of you both".

"Rajeev is a friend" she cried. "It isn't like that at all".

"You think I would believe you?" he asked.

Zoya wondered who'd been watching her and taking such pictures of her and Rajeev. They were taken from angles that made it seem like they were a couple rather than friends just discussing his sister's wedding. She looked disgusted at the picture when Rajeev had told a joke, she'd been laughing and it seemed Rajeev was whispering to her ear when in fact he wasn't even as close to her.

"Aditya..." she started when he suddenly cut her off.

"I don't want to hear it" he held up his hand narrowing his eyes down at her. "Why did you do this, Zoya? Wasn't my love enough?" he questioned.

"I pushed him away" she reiterated, tears glistening in her eyes. "He was a friend who'd gotten the wrong idea".

"How would he have if you had stopped it in the beginning?" he countered angrily. "How does someone do such a mistake when you are married?"

Zoya swiped her cheeks, Aditya wasn't in a mood to listen right now so she turned to leave the kitchen.

"Dad was right"

Zoya stiffened hearing him, she glanced over and stared at her husband. He seemed cold and distant. He didn't seem like the man she'd fallen in love with.

"He always told me that I would regret falling in love with you. Your mother left your father for another man, he told me you would do the f**king same and I didn't believe him"

Zoya gasped softly, Aditya had always told her he wouldn't judge her for the actions of her mother, he had never brought her mother up after she'd once revealed her past.

She felt her heart crack as his words sunk in, she watched as he turned to stare at her blankly.

"Like mother, like daughter" he uttered then turned walking out the house.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Zoya attempted to reach out to him hoping that a week was enough to cool him down. She'd hoped he'd be able to listen to her and believe in her. However, his phone went straight to voicemail, either he'd had his phone switched off or he'd blocked her. She supposed it was the latter. She had ended her friendship with Rajeev in the hopes that would make Aditya believe that there was nothing between them.
She just wanted him back.
She waited.
For a whole month, she waited for some contact from him. She had no means to reach out, he'd seemed to change his number because when she called using a withheld number he didn't answer either. Having failed through phone and emails, she decided to get a letter sent. Aditya may still be angry but if he were to know she was carrying their baby, he'd be able to see past all of this and work on their marriage.
She sent a letter to her in law's house assuming he had returned to his parent's house.
She waited another 3 weeks and received her response.
I don't want a baby that belongs to another man I'll play however much it costs. I also want a divorce.
Her whole world crashed around her, the earth was snatched from beneath her as she read the words. He questioned their baby?
She cried but gathered herself together quickly, she was determined not to allow Aditya Hooda break her spirits, she wasn't going to allow him to do this to her.
If he wanted a divorce, she was going to give him just what he wants.
She called Mahi and asking her for help, Mahi recommended a good lawyer and the divorce papers were sent to the Hooda mansion with Zoya's signature on them. She'd packed her belongings and moved to a small apartment. She wasn't going to bring her child up in the house where she'd been told to abort her baby by her own husband and her daughter's father.
"He's angry that I didn't abort my daughter like he wanted" she murmured.
"Don't think like that" Yash responded.
"You would think that 3 years should be long enough to trust someone completely, for weeks I tried, I just wanted him back. I... I wanted to start over, I just wanted him to believe me, but he chose to believe those damned pictures" she hissed. "He hated me, but what was my daughter's fault? How could he say she isn't his?"
"Zoya" Yash held onto her shoulders smiling gently, "You've got a beautiful daughter, you've got a wonderful company with a brilliant me as your co-partner" he winked, "Don't wonder about the past, you're stronger now. Aditi has made you stronger and you're going to stay strong for her" he encouraged.
Zoya nodded having listened to his words and hugged him, Yash smiled as she stepped back and moved towards the sofa and climbed in besides her daughter. He watched in admiration as Zoya and Aditi started mumbling and tickling one another, their joyful laughter echoing.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

"Aditya, you've come home? Its good, I've finished cooking your favourite dishes" Anjana smiled as her son entered. "Aditya" she called as he looked lost. She moved towards him and touched his shoulder.

Aditya snapped out of his thoughts looking down at his mother.

"Aditya, what's wrong?" Anjana asked cradling his cheek.

"Zoya..." he whispered. "She... She's got a daughter"

Anjana stiffened, "Zoya? "

Words failed him as he tried to register what he'd witnessed, he felt as if he were caught up in a tornado and couldn't breathe nor form any thoughts. The anguish that washed over him overwhelmed him, it was as if it consumed him all over and his mind was completely blank.

"Aditya" Anjana shook her son's shoulder seeing him immobile.

He slowly looked at his mother and whispered "She's my baby", before he fell onto his knees unable to stand straight anymore.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Zoya had hoped she wouldn't be seeing Aditya when Pooja came to finalise everything, however when she'd entered the meeting room Aditya Hooda was sat besides Pooja. His eyes focused solely on her as she walked inside.
She could feel his eyes on her as she went through everything with Pooja, she pondered as to how Pooja hadn't noticed her fianc wasn't even paying attention.
"Oh, this is going to be just as I wanted" Pooja squealed. "Thank you so much, Zoya. You're going to have to come to the wedding. Oh my gosh, it's only a couple of days away now" she grinned widely.
"I..." Zoya wanted to refuse however Pooja intervened.
"No excuses, I want to see you at the wedding" she told her, "Anyway, I've got a final dress fitting so I'll see you there" she stood grabbing her handbag, "You can go to work, I'm going to meet mom" she informed Aditya and hurried out the doors.
Zoya frowned when Aditya simply stared, he didn't make a move to get up and leave, so she gathered her files and stood to leave.
Aditya stood to his feet moving towards the door blocking her way from leaving.
"Aditya, get out of my way" Zoya stated firmly scowling up at him.
Aditya looked down at his ex-wife, his eyes perused her, the thought of her carrying their child in her womb reminded him of what he'd missed out on and he frowned as she had kept their child from him. She had not given him a chance to be with their child.
Today, she'd donned a Roland Mouret plum coloured knee length fitted dress with black pumps, her eyes only tinged with kohl and a little gloss on her lips, other than that she'd gone makeup free. He looked into her eyes that were filled with loads of mixing emotions that almost matched his own.
"Move, Aditya" Zoya reiterated.
"Why didn't you tell me about her?" he questioned. "Why would hide that we've got a daughter?"
Zoya looked at him astonished, she swallowed thickly and stepped back shaking her head staring at him in disbelief. He had the nerve to question her, especially after sending her a letter telling her to abort their baby.
"Zoya" Aditya held her shoulders for attention as she seemingly looked lost.
"Excuse me, Mr Hooda" she shoved his hands off of her. She wasn't going to even start this with him. "Get out of my way" she dropped her files to the floor and tried to push past.
Aditya held her hands as she moved to open the door, he swiftly turned the lock and turned his attention to her. "I want an answer, Zoya. We're going to forget everything right now, and you're going to tell me why you didn't tell me about our baby" he stated.
Zoya kept quiet, she didn't speak a word. She tried to wriggle away from his hold and pulled her wrist away from his grip but failed, Aditya pulled her close as she moved back and banded his arm around her waist holding her to himself.
Their eyes locked to one another's filled with hatred for one another yet there was the familiar feeling that sparked in the dark corners of their eyes, she noticed his eyes roam to her lips then back at her.
"Don't" she whispered.
Aditya cradled her cheek with his other hand, he didn't move forward instead he brushed his fingers along her neck.
"Aditya..." she attempted to move back.
"Why didn't you tell me?" he murmured as his eyes followed his hands, he brushed his palm along her slender neck then to her collar bone and shoulders.
She closed her eyes, her heartbeats increasing as she felt the brush of his lips against the side of her neck. She blinked opened her eyes and stared, his eyes dark and focused.
She swallowed thickly staring up at him, his jaws clenched as if he was fighting hard to hold back, Aditya almost groaned in relief when she held his head and moved forward slamming her lips onto his kissing him hard.
Eight years they both thought as they kissed, how had they gone so long without one another? Sparks burst between them, they were reminded of what they once shared.
Aditya lifted her up shoving her dress up as she locked her legs around his hips, he stepped over the files and moved to the desk.
Zoya cried out as his touch burned her body with pleasure, she inhaled sharply as she could feel him, her arms tightened around his neck as he started making love to her after eight long years. Intense pleasure coursed through them, their veins sparkled with electricity, his lips found hers, his hands threaded with hers as she lain on the desk, their fingers laced together tightly as they made love filled with intense passion.
Zoya threw her head back biting down on her lower lip stopping herself from screaming as she fell apart beneath him, Aditya groaned burrowing his face into the hollow of her neck feeling satiated.
After a few minutes, he lifted his head and looked down at her.
She looked guilty and utterly confused.
Zoya averted her eyes, Aditya slowly straightened and helped her down the desk.
She quickly worked on righting her dress, she slipped back into her heels and brushed her fingers through her hair.
What has she just done? She thought inwardly, in a couple of days he is going to be marrying her client and she had allowed him to...
"Zoya..." Aditya looked at her.
"Don't" she stepped back shaking her head. "Do you realise what we've just done? Pooja is going to be marrying you in a couple of days and we... just..." she covered her mouth squeezing her eyes closed. She was disgusted at herself, guilt consumed her. Pooja had been nothing but nice to her, she'd been a wonderful client.
Before Aditya could say anything, she unlocked the door and walked out grateful that none of her colleagues were around.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

"What do you mean he knows?" Harsh frowned at his wife. "How would he know?"

"Zoya is here with her daughter" Anjana replied. "He knows he's got a daughter".

"Daughter? That means..."

"Yes, that means she didn't abort the baby like you wanted" Anjana responded. "If Aditya knows about this then he might leave us again. I can't have that. I don't want that" she shook her head. "Harsh, I wouldn't be able to live without Aditya again".

"You're going to have to learn"

Anjana and Harsh turned around shocked hearing their son's voice behind them, Aditya had returned home and overheard his parents speaking. He looked at them in disbelief.

"Aditya..." Anjana stepped forward in an attempt to mask what he heard.

"Please don't, Mrs Hooda" he moved away before she could touch him. "If you both couldn't live without your son, then how do you expect me to live without my daughter?" he yelled. "You both knew! You both knew Zoya was pregnant, but you didn't tell me!"

"Aditya, we did it only for your good. That girl..." Harsh tried to explain.

"Don't you dare! Don't you dare say you both did it for my good" Aditya intervened shouting at his father, "Don't you dare, Mr Hooda! You knew she was pregnant, you knew she was alone and you knew and you didn't once tell me"

"Are you forgetting the pictures? Are you forgetting she cheated on you?" Harsh countered firmly, "Don't forget, that she cheated on you".

"How do you know about the pictures?" Aditya questioned, he had never once told them that he'd received pictures of his wife in compromising positions. He never once revealed to them about anything but that he and Zoya are separated for some time. "I never said she cheated on me, so how do you know about this?" he asked slowly, his mind working as he thought over the argument he'd had with his wife. "You were behind it all, weren't you?" he softly questioned as he tried to register the fact that his parents were behind his broken relationship.

"You sent me the pictures using a different number?" he asked though he wasn't expecting a response. "You both did it".

"Aditya, we only wanted you back home" Anjana tried to reason. "We missed you and you chose that girl over..."

"Stop it!" Aditya shouted, his raised voice echoed the large halls. "Do you realise what you've done? You broke my marriage, you left my daughter fatherless for eight years, you made my wife bring our daughter up alone!" he looked between his parents disgusted. "If you missed me so much and loved me so much, imagine what Zoya must have gone through! Imagine what I'm going through right now" he stepped away from them. His eyes roamed the house he'd once called his safe haven, his home, he looked at the woman whom he loved more than anyone, he glanced at his father then turned his back on them walking out the house.

He could hear his mother screaming his name as she cried and begged but he ignored it all.

They had played with his life, his marriage, his daughter's life.

He wasn't going to forgive them ever.

"Mama, you're here" Aditi grinned as her mother entered their house.

"Stay with Mahi aunty for a bit, baby. Mama's coming" Zoya told her averting her eyes and headed upstairs.

She stepped into the shower, guilt ate at her she thought of what had occurred between Aditya and herself an hour ago.

Her guilt had wrapped itself around her heart and clenched as if it were a vine squeezing her, how was she going to fix this? Aditya was due to be married in a couple of days with Pooja, how had she allowed herself to do this? There was no justification, there was no forgiveness for this. She had done what her husband had accused her of, she had cheated with him.

She tilted her head back wishing the water would wash away her sins, remove the stains of her sin but it had marked her body like a scar. It would forever remain.
Each time, she looked at herself in the mirror, she'd remember. Each time, she'd walk into her office, she'd remember. Each time, she'd close her eyes she would see him before her and remember the sin they both committed.

"Zoya, are you okay?" Mahi knocked on the door, it had been over half an hour since Zoya returned home and headed upstairs. She'd put Aditi in bed promising to bring her mother to put her to sleep, however her knocks went unanswered. Mahi then entered the bedroom and could hear the shower running.

"Zoya" she called again but there was no answer. "Zoya, open the door" she urged.

Mahi concerned twisted the knob and was relieved to find the door was unlocked, she entered and ran over to Zoya noting she seemed to be sat lifelessly on the ground.

"Zoya, what happened? Zoya, Zoya" she tapped her cheek with one hand whilst switching the showerhead off.

"Zoya" Mahi shook her.

"I... I've done something..." Zoya finally broke out, she turned to her friend and sobbed. "Mahi, I... I've..." she cried and told Mahi everything baring her heart. Mahi listened, comforted her and grew pissed off at Aditya. She managed to get Zoya up, and helped her out of the wet dress. She wrapped her in a towel and walked her to the bedroom, Mahi then picked out a loose nightgown and handed it to Zoya.

"I'll go see who that is" she told Zoya hearing the doorbell. "Then I'll bring something nice to eat, you look like you've not eaten in days".

"I'm not hungry" she mumbled.

"Shh... lie down. I'm coming" Mahi helped her get under the blanket then walked out closing the door. She grew furious opening the door and finding Aditya Hooda on the door step.

"What are you doing here?" Mahi stepped out narrowing her eyes. "Isn't it enough what you did?"

"Mahi, let me speak to her. I just want to speak to her" Aditya responded. "Look, I need to speak to her".

"So you can hurt her even more?" Mahi growled, "When you walked out of her life and told her to divorce you, she wanted to kill herself. She nearly attempted to but she remembered that she was pregnant with your baby. She... being crazy still loved you. She hoped and waited you'd change your mind and come looking for her, but you didn't"

Aditya now understood as to why Zoya had said to not make Pooja wait, if only she knew the truth he thought. He had planned to return, he had wanted to speak to her and start over, but it was then he received the signed divorce papers.

He frowned as he caught onto Mahi's word, "I told her to divorce me?"

"You told her to abort the baby and you wanted a divorce" Mahi reminded. "Eight years isn't a long time, Mr Hooda to forget such hurtful things".

"I didn't" Aditya shook his head, "I didn't do any of that" tears burned his eyes, "My dad and my mom did it all, they were behind all of this" he brushed a hand through his hair in frustration. "They wanted to separate us and... I let it happen. Mahi, let me speak to her please" he begged. "Just once, if Zoya tells me to leave. I will but let me speak to her"

Mahi wasn't convinced but her friend was broken and she didn't know half of what Aditya had just told her, "I'm warning you now, if you make her cry once more I will kill you with my bare hands" she opened the door allowing him inside.

Aditya ran towards the room Mahi had pointed at and found the door locked from the inside.

"Zoya, its me" he called knocking on the door.

She closed her eyes tilting her head back against the door, she'd heard his voice from upstairs and she didn't want to see him so she locked the door, sitting on the floor with her back against it.

"Zoya, I just want to speak. I want to explain" he pleaded. "Zoya" he called again. "I'm sorry, I'm sorry for not giving you a chance, I'm sorry" he profusely apologised. "Zo..."

"Daddy?" Aditi stepped out hearing a voice and her eyes widened as she looked at who was here. Aditya simply looked at her shocked as she came running towards him.

Zoya felt her heart stop as she could hear her daughter's excited screams.

"You're here, daddy" she screamed wrapping her arms tightly around Aditya, he slowly brought his hands and enveloped her. A mixture of feelings washed over him, his heart lunged down to his stomach, this was their daughter and she knew him. He felt like crying even more, his daughter knew him all along and he'd... He closed his eyes tightening his arms around her.

"Oh daddy, you're back" she giggled cupping both his cheeks looking at him in disbelief. "Mama, daddy's here. Mama" she knocked on the door.

Zoya sniffed wiping her eyes and composed herself as her daughter knocked insistently,

She stood and opened the door, her heart raced as she took in the large beaming grin on her daughter's face.

It would kill her if Aditya hurt their daughter, seeing Aditi's happiness on her face she prayed silently hoping Aditya wouldn't hurt their daughter. Glancing at him, he even looked like he loved their daughter but the memories of him telling her to abort their daughter scared her, she had only one weakness and that was her daughter.

"Mama, look" Aditi grinned, "Mama, you sleep. Daddy will put me to sleep" she told her mother and looked at her father, "Right, daddy?"

Aditya nodded, his voice lodged at his throat. He couldn't bring himself to speak, he was still in disbelief and awe this was his daughter.

"Actually, Mama can I sleep with you today with daddy?" she asked cutely giving her best innocent smile.

"Aditi, I..."

Aditya was taken by surprise again, their daughter had part of his name. Despite everything, Zoya had still kept part of his linked to his daughter.

"Please mama, just for today, please, please" she pleaded which led to Zoya nodding her head.

Zoya agreed allowing them inside, she watched as Aditya placed Aditi in the middle and cuddled her closely, she climbed into the other side as Aditi called out to her.

Aditya never once looked away from their daughter, his eyes were fixated on her. She had her mother's eyes and his nose, she got the talking from him and the maturity of her mother. How had he allowed their life to be played like this? How had it come to this?

He smiled when Aditi finally stopped talking and dozed off, he admired her for a long time then glanced over at Zoya.

"How did she..."

"Because I didn't want her to feel like she doesn't have her father's love" she answered. She hadn't felt affection when she was young, her mother had left her for another man and her father drowned himself in his business ignoring that he had a young daughter to care for. She didn't want Aditi to feel unloved. She wasn't going to allow that sort of pain engrave itself on her small fragile heart.

"I told her, her daddy travels a lot. I made sure she didn't lack anything, she got your love and mine" she continued. "Double the presents and gifts during birthdays and any other celebrations..."

He turned his attention to his daughter and smiled, he leaned down pressing a kiss to her forehead and stared at her. He was still in awe for a very long time.

Aditya looked away when he heard a shuffle and watched Zoya leaving the bedroom.

His happiness faded, he lowered down pressing a kiss to his daughters forehead and walked out of the room.

He looked around for her a while and found her on the terrace seemingly lost.

"Zoya" he stopped where he was not wanting to scare her away, she had her back to him but her tense back was definitely and indicated that she was listening to him.

"Please give me chance, give me the chance I never gave you" he pleaded, he just wanted the one chance to make up for all his mistakes. He was going to love her, protect her, and make sure he would never ever hurt again.

He then explained that behind their failed marriage was the hands of his parents.

Zoya dipped her head down, her eyes closed as she listened to every small detail of how his parents were involved in breaking them up.

She sucked in a deep breath as she felt him entwining his arms around her, "Aditya... stop" she breathed out, "You're getting married" she reminded.

"There is no one but you, Zoya" he answered, "Pooja is my friend, she's marrying Arjun. He's out of town for his court cases that's why I'm accompanying her until he returns in two days time" he explained. "It's always been just you".

She turned around and stared at him, "How do I know you won't hurt me? How do I know you won't hurt Aditi?" she questioned.

"I'm going to make it up to you, I'm going to protect you and love you both, I don't want anything else. I don't want my parents, I don't want anything, I just want you" he cried pressing his forehead to hers. "I promise, please, please give me a chance. Please".

Zoya threw her arms around him, she cradled his cheek and kissed him deeply. He closed his eyes pulling her closer to him, his arms banded around her waist lifting her off of her feet as he reciprocated her kiss.

"It's been you, always you and it's just going to be you" Aditya pulled back cupping her cheek. She nodded and hugged him tightly, she was giving him another chance and she was convinced that he wouldn't hurt her.

~~~Continued~~~
Epilogue
"When is the baby coming?" Aditi looked at her mother's growing bump curiously.
"A few more weeks" Zoya responded with a smile.
"But I want to play with him now" she pouted.
"Who told you it's a him?" Zoya frowned.
"Daddy"
"Aditya Hooda" Zoya called out and scowled at her husband who'd walked out of the kitchen giving his sexy cute smile.
"Yes, Mrs Hooda?" he leaned down kissing his wife's cute pouting lips and lifted his daughter off the couch kissing her cheeks.
"Why are you telling Aditi, it's a boy?" she crossed her arms.
"Because it is" he replied.
"Aditya! It's going to be a girl" she scowled.
"Mama, I want a boy"
"Chup, it isn't your choice" Zoya replied. "Always siding with daddy" she muttered.
"She sides more with you" Aditya reminded. "Whenever, you both have a chance you choose to side with each other and go against me"
"Because we're girls, daddy. It's called girl power" Aditi explained.
"Oh really?"
Aditi nodded grinning widely.
"This, my dear wife, is the reason I want a boy. There should be some man power and I should have someone to side with me" he answered.
Aditi seemed to think about what her daddy was saying and said, "Yes mama, daddy is right".
"Right? Right?" Zoya scowled. "I'm not talking to you" she turned her head away crossing her arms. Aditi chuckled and climbed down hurrying to her mother's side.
"Mama, I love you" she cupped both her mother's cheeks pressing a kiss to the forehead then her chin then both her cheeks, and lastly Zoya's cute button nose.
Zoya smiled hugging her daughter, she closed her eyes feeling Aditya's cheek pressing against hers, his arms enveloping both her and their daughter.
"I don't care, as long as we have a healthy baby" he told her.
She smiled feeling blessed, she opened her eyes and grinned as he dropped a kiss to her temple. "I don't want anything else" he muttered.
Zoya cradled his cheek and pressed a gentle kiss to his jaw whilst her other hand was wrapped around her daughter. She hadn't thought they'd come so far, and be blessed with such great heights of happiness. They had been shortly blessed with the news of her pregnancy following their remarriage. Aditya couldn't bring himself to forgive his parents, even though she had attempted to convince him but he had refused though he kept in touch with his brother and Pooja as they had no hand in ruining his marriage with Zoya. In fact, Arjun had been unaware of what his parents had done.
Zoya couldn't ask for more, she had her husband, she had her child and she had their new baby on the way. The eight years seemed to fade away in front of the heap of happiness that now was in her lap. The trust, their marriage, their relationship had grown even strong than before. Aditya had unquestionable trust in her as she had in him. They didn't need words to voice their concerns or even their love, their eyes spoke volumes.
"It's going to be a boy" Aditya whispered teasingly.
Her good mood faded and she scowled at her husband, "Aditya..."
His laugh echoed as he moved away, she shook her head and started laughing with him...
I loved the story! Adi and Zo seperating and remarrying was amazing! Also, the Arjun-Pooja angle was something I did not see coming! Yash and Mahi as supporting friends to Zoya was also something that I didn't see coming, but enjoyed throughly! All-in-all the story was great, and I laughed, and cried with the characters! :)
