"You have to come with me" Pooja insisted wrapping both her arms around Aditya's arm pleading innocently.
Aditya sighed, he looked down at his phone then turned to her. "Okay, but we have to be quick. I promised to join dad for lunch" he informed.
"Thank you!" she squealed pressing a kiss to his cheek.
"The things I do for you" he muttered as he walked over towards his car unlocking the doors and climbing inside with Pooja sliding into the passenger seat.
"Okay, so this company is like the best company here in Mumbai" Pooja explained, "Like you wouldn't believe some of the weddings they covered. Best wedding planners in Mumbai, that's why I've booked this appointment. I know they're going to make the wedding perfect".
Aditya rolled his eyes as she continued to babble on with herself, he parked up outside as they arrived outside Zosh. He stepped outside, the building before him was at least 12 floors, the exterior of the building was all glass.
Aditya followed Pooja into the building impressed, as classy and beautiful as it was outside it was equally stunning inside. The walls featured wedding, venue, banquet pictures as they walked down the hallway. Pooja pushed through the glass double doors smiling as a bubbly receptionist stood gleaming at them.
"Welcome to Zosh! I'm Anikka, how can I help?"
"Hi, I've got an appointment this morning" Pooja informed excitedly.
"Yeah, what time?"
"10.45am" Pooja informed.
"Ah okay, just follow me through" Anikka nodded and led them into a small conference room, "Ma'am will be with you soon, so make yourselves comfortable" she informed. "There's refreshments available on that side, if you'd like anything" she pointed.
"Thank you" Pooja thanked her, Anikka then excused herself leaving them in the room.
"Wow" Pooja exclaimed as she looked around, she approached the large floor to glass windows looking outside, "It's such a stunning view from here" she glanced over her shoulder only to find Aditya lost in his phone.
"Aditya, I brought you here to help. Not lose yourself in your phone" Pooja huffed exasperated.
He hummed nonchalantly, clearly not having listened to what she was saying exactly. Pooja walked over snatching the phone from his hand and rested her hands on her hips. "Aditya Hooda!"
"Pooja yaar, I'm listening. It's a bit rubbish if the wedding planner isn't here on time" he informed as he looked around, "Give me my phone back"
"Promise to put it away until we've finished here"
"I promise" he lied, unknown to Pooja he had crossed his finger behind his back.
Pooja smiled handing his phone back and looked around the room admiring the pictures featuring on the wall, she stepped closer scrutinising them and already making a mental list to tell the wedding planner of what she'd like to see.
Aditya smiled as she started pointing to the pictures and telling him what she'd like at the wedding, he smiled faintly seeing the excitement and put his phone away. He joined her side glancing at the photos Pooja was pointing to.
"I apologise for the delay..."
Aditya tensed hearing a familiar voice, he turned around and looked surprised as he saw the woman before him. He swallowed thickly staring blankly. Zoya he thought.
His eyes perused the woman before him unknowingly, she had completely changed. The woman before him didn't look like the woman he'd once known.
The long wavy hair that once reached the small of her back was now replaced with short curly locks that reached past her shoulders, her simple kurti and jeans replaced by a dress shirt and a pencil skirt, her once make up free face was now dusted with a little blusher, red lipstick and her eyes seemingly larger with the smoky effect.
Zoya had not expected Aditya Hooda to be her client, she had not ever expected to see him again. She felt her heart racing as she stared at the man before her, the once clean shaven boy had completely changed. His jeans and casual t-shirt replaced by a three-piece suit, he now sported a closely trimmed beard.
Pooja had not noticed the change in the air between the two, she stepped forward holding out her hand.
"Hi, I'm Pooja and this is Aditya" she introduced herself and Aditya smiling brightly. "You'd planned my cousin's wedding and we loved it, I told my mother I wanted you to plan my wedding" she explained.
Zoya broke out of her trance and shook Pooja's hand, she turned to Aditya and held out her hand, "It's a pleasure" she informed looking between the two trying to maintain a professional composure.
Aditya shuddered, after 8 years the feelings came rushing back. He clenched his jaw trying to keep himself in check. Zoya had not gone unaffected, she could feel it when their hands touched, she pulled her hand back and averted her eyes focusing on Pooja.
For the next hour, Zoya attempted to focus on what Pooja wanted for her wedding however she couldn't stop her train of thoughts.
She had so many questions, and the answers only Aditya could answer.
She silently and unwillingly perused Pooja, the woman was certainly beautiful, she had long wavy locks that reached the small of back, she donned on a beautiful salwar kameez, silver bangles adorning her wrist, Zoya hadn't missed the engagement ring on her finger. It was a beautiful round centre diamond with four claws, eighteen round diamonds running across either side of the white gold band. She could feel his eyes on her from across the table where they'd sat down to discuss what Pooja would like for the wedding. She pondered as to why Aditya wasn't giving his input, from what she recalled...She shook her head mentally, she wasn't going to go back there. It had been 8 long years. He was different and so was she.
Aditya followed her with his eyes, she must have known but she didn't show it instead she focused on her job, he noted she was averting her eyes each time she snuck a glance over at him.
"I'm even more excited now" Pooja exclaimed, "Thank you so much, Zoya. It's going to be perfect" she stood from the table they'd been sitting on and shook Zoya's hand. "It's going to be perfect, right?" she glanced over at Aditya grinning widely.
Aditya broke out of his thoughts and nodded his head absentmindedly, he hadn't a clue what Pooja had asked and he knew Pooja wouldn't let the matter go if she noticed him being so lost. He pulled out his phone noting the time and turned to Pooja, "We should finish up here, I've got somewhere else to be".
"Oh yes" Pooja recalled Aditya promising to meet his father for lunch, she smiled once again at Zoya and thanked her once again.
Aditya stared at Zoya as Pooja bid her bye, he watched her slowly turn and meet his eyes after the hour meeting.
"Mr Hooda, it was nice meeting you" she masked her expressions holding out her hand.
Aditya had held himself back from narrowing his eyes, he nodded and shook her head. They held one another's gaze as their hands touched, Zoya grated her teeth together pulling her hand back. She plastered a smile as they walked past and out the doors, her facade fell as soon as the doors closed.
A heavy weight settled on her heart as she tried to register the fact that Aditya Hooda was in Mumbai and so close.
Zoya's mind betrayed her taking her back to the last memory she had of Aditya Hooda, tears burned her eyes as she thought of seeing his back as he'd walked out.
She closed her eyes and her blood boiled as she thought of the night, she wouldn't ever forget the night he'd walked out.
She sighed heavily pinching the bridge of her nose reminding herself it's been 8 years and he had moved on.
Zoya jumped as she felt a knock on the door, she closed her eyes inhaling sharply gathering herself together, she turned around opening the door and smiled faintly.
"Yash" she murmured.
"Hey" he stepped inside pressing a kiss to her cheek, "You disappeared quickly this morning" he told her, "I've bought lunch" he walked over taking a seat placing their lunch down.
"So, why did you run off so quickly this morning?" he asked.
"I had Ananya Singhania to meet this morning" she answered joining him, she watched as he opened up their lunch boxes and handed her the chopsticks.
"I've bought your favourite" Yash told her with a smile. "Ananya Singhania is our bridezilla of this year" he added.
She hummed nonchalantly, Yash frowned looking at her, "You're very quiet today, is something wrong?"
Zoya shook her head crossing her fingers on her lap then grabbed herself the box and dig into her lunch trying to keep herself occupied.
Aditya sent a text to his father cancelling lunch, he dropped Pooja off at her house then returned home.
He ignored his mother calling out to him, he entered his bedroom and locked the door behind him. He was finding it difficult to believe that he had just seen Zoya.
The same Zoya he had walked out on eight years ago, he shrugged out of his jacket yanking his tie and chucking it.
The memories came rushing back, he was reminded of what he'd walked out on. The feelings were as strong today as they were eight years ago. He had made himself stronger, he had changed, he had wiped every evidence of Zoya from his life.
"Are you challenging me?" Aditya arched his brows. "Mrs Hooda" he smirked.
"What do you think?" Zoya smugly smiled at her husband.
She laughed as he leaped forward, she swiftly moved away before he could catch her giggling as his attempts.
"C'mon Mr Hooda, you seriously cannot be so rubbish can you?" Zoya teased playfully as she ran from him. "Why do you want exercise if you cannot simply run and keep up"
Aditya fuelled with determination ran, he'd had his wife have her little playtime and now she was going to regret challenging him and teasing him. Zoya helped as he caught from behind, his arm banded around her waist and his face burrowed between the hollow of her neck.
"You were saying...?" he brushed her hair to the other side exposing her neck, lowering his head he pressed a gentle kiss. Zoya closed her eyes, butterflies skittering excitedly at the familiar passionate burning within her. She pinched her eyes closed biting on her lower lip as he continued to nuzzle and pepper gentle kisses sizzling her senses, awakening her desires.
"Aditya..." she murmured, it sounded like a moan at the same time. She loved the feel of his shaven chin across her skin, the gentle press of his lips and the teasingly nip he'd do from time to time. She turned around facing him, Aditya smiled cradling his wife's cheek and lowered his head catching her mouth.
She tiptoed pressing her body against his, her arms entwining around his nape as she reciprocated. Her fingers thread through his hair, she moaned feeling the bite on her lower lip, Aditya smirked as she pressed herself closer.
"I want you now" he pulled back, his voice thick and hoarse. Zoya only smiled stepping forward and kissing him once again, she giggled as he lifted her and she wrapped her legs around his hips. He headed towards their bedroom smiling teasingly as he kicked the door closed behind him.
He didn't wait to even walk towards their bed, he simply undressed his wife pressed against the wall and she'd helped him out of his clothes, along the way he'd marked her body with kisses and love bites ensuring she'd remember their love when she showered.
Zoya clutched onto his shoulders, her nails biting into his skin as he made love to her. She threw her head back groaning as he took her hard and fast right against the wall, he watched enthralled loving the look of pleasure that radiated from his wife's face, her lips parted as she gasped and soft moans escaped. Aditya grated his teeth, a rough groan escape as he burrowed his head into the hollow of her neck as he brought them to a climax.
Zoya rolled over pressing her head against her husband's chest as they lain in bed together having made love thrice now. She was exhausted but so damn satisfied.
"I love you" Aditya whispered as he always did before he dozed off, he found her temple and pressed a gentle kiss and closed his eyes with a sigh.
A small smile came to his lips as he heard his wife respond to his love and pressed a kiss to his jaw before cuddling into him and sleeping.
Yet today when their hands touched, he could feel her all over again, he could smell the soft jasmine perfume she'd always worn, he could feel the softness of her hair teasing his cheeks as she cuddled to him, he felt the soft supple lips that brushed his jaw every night before they'd slept, her soft mains, her confession, her love for him echoed in his ear.
Today once again, he felt like he had lost her all over again.
When he walked out of the room, he felt like he was once again losing her.
He shook his head, she wasn't his to be lose again. She wasn't.
Aditya's knees buckled as he felt a rip roaring pain within him almost grasping his heart and pulling it out. He closed his eyes as he thought of the woman he'd once loved immensely.
A lone tear escaped the corner of his eye as he opened them and stared ahead blankly.
Zoya called it a day by 3pm, she couldn't continue working. She failed to focus on what her clients wanted, she was still trying to wrap her head around the fact that Aditya Hooda was here at the same time. She grabbed her handbag sending a quick text to Yash saying she's finishing early, then walked out of the building.
She climbed into her car and drove away, the feelings she'd locked away returned in full force. She focused on the road, her fingers tightly gripping onto the steering wheel, she had promised herself she wasn't going to ever let Aditya Hooda hurt her, she had promised to never allow him to affect her again, then why did it hurt now?
Why did she feel like her heart was being battered all over again?
Zoya bit down on her lower lip determined not to cry, despite her eyes stinging.
"Aditya, stop" Zoya chuckled as he pulled her back into bed. "There's someone at the door" she jokingly smacked his cheek and climbed out of bed seeing him frowning.
"Aditya, get up and see who's at the door" she told him as she grabbed his shirt slipping into it and headed to the bathroom.
He groaned cursing the person as he could hear the doorbell ringing again, Aditya climbed out of their bed pulling on his jeans and headed downstairs without bothering to even wear a shirt. He unlocked their front door and frowned seeing his father stood outside.
"Dad" he murmured.
Harsh glanced over his son in distaste, he noted the mark on his son's shoulders and chest looking away with a sigh. "You might have forgotten us son, but we haven't. Are you going to let me in?" he asked.
Aditya cleared his throat opening the door wider allowing his father inside, he smiled as Arjun stepped in after his father.
"Arjun" he moved forward hugging his younger brother who seemed equally delighted to meet his older brother.
"Aditya, at least go put something on" Harsh stated.
Aditya nodded and hurried to the laundry room, he grabbed one of his ironed shirts from the hanger and slipped into it. He joined his father and brother in the hall where they were still stood around.
"Dad, come sit" he told his father, he smiled happy to see his father here. He knew his father couldn't stay angry for long.
"Your mother misses you" Harsh started as he sat down from across his son.
"Just mom?" Aditya questioned.
Harsh didn't answer, instead he continued "Do you miss her?"
"Of course, I do" he replied.
"When do you plan to stop acting out and returning home?"
Aditya narrowed, his muscles tensed answering his father, "You know why I left home. This isn't me acting out, this is me choosing my wife".
Harsh shifted forward, "Why don't you see she's the cause of you breaking your relationship with us?" he hissed sharply.
"Dad, Zoya didn't do anything. You were the cause, you asked me to choose between you or my wife. I chose Zoya" he answered.
Harsh scoffed standing up and looked over at Arjun, "Is this why you begged me to come? I knew I shouldn't have listened to you" he turned to Aditya, "Why don't you see you're going against your family for that..."
"Dad" Aditya intervened cutting him off sharply, he noticed Zoya stood near the top of the stairs, she looked at him sadly, she wasn't feeling sorry for herself but for him. She was hurting for him. He exhaled and looked between his father and brother.
"Please leave" he told them.
Harsh noticed Zoya and looked over at Aditya, "You're pathetic" he grated and looked over at Zoya, "Remember, you stole him from us Zoya. You've not only gotten the curse of a mother, you have the curse of a father" he stated and walked out.
"Bhai" Arjun approached his brother touching his shoulder, "Don't listen to what dad is saying, he's just missing you and he's a little angry".
"Angry for what, Arjun?" Aditya questioned, "I just loved and married the woman I wanted to spend my life with"
"Just ignore him" Arjun responded and looked over at Zoya, "It's good to see you, bhabhi".
Zoya offered a small smile climbing down the steps joining her husband's side, "Aditya, maybe you should go see your mom" she suggested.
"I will, but not when he is home" he agreed.
Arjun understood and said, "Bhai, I'll let you know when it's going to be a good day" he then bid bye to both them excusing himself.
"What had we done wrong?" Aditya questioned Zoya. "We'd only loved".
Zoya cradled Aditya's cheek, he was hurting. "Aditya, its going to take some time for them. We've married without telling them, and your dad had looked embarrassed in front of relatives and friends as he'd already promised that he would get you married to one of his friend's daughter" she reminded. "He's bound to be angry".
Aditya sighed, he slipped his arms around her pulling her close, "Why are you able to understand them as well?" he murmured. "You're too good" he told her.
She had not once blamed his parents for not accepting her, she hadn't once complained about their dislike for her, she'd simply justified it with reasons.
Aditya pressed a kiss to her forehead enveloping his wife in his arms.
Why, Aditya...She thought inwardly as she slumped down on the edge of her bed. Tears cascaded down her cheeks at the thought of him marrying someone.
Her body shook with her cries, she screamed unable to hold back the pain coursing through her entire body. She crumpled onto her knees as she thought of Aditya settling down with someone else. She failed once again, she still loved him immensely. Even with the eight years of separation, she still had feelings for him.

Aditya silently watched noting Zoya refusing to spare a glance at him, she'd only just looked at him briefly for a moment when he and Pooja arrived to look at the venues she'd selected. After that, he hadn't once noticed her looking at him. It seemed like she was avoiding him.
He took the opportunity to peruse her once again, today she'd donned on a black Antonio Berardi one shoulder crepe dress with a slit that fitted her petite figure hugging her curves in all the right places. Her short hair loosely curled bouncing on the tops of her shoulder.
She maintained a professional attitude, it was as if they were truly just strangers meeting for the first time.
"So, what do you think of this?" Zoya glanced over at Pooja avoiding Aditya completely.
"I love this venue, its awesome" Pooja twirled around, "I could see myself coming down those steps and walking to the mandap, with such a centre everyone will be looking at me" she gushed and turned to Aditya, "What do you think?"
Aditya smiled faintly nodding his head, he hadn't really heard what she said. He'd been too busy watching Zoya.
"You're absolutely useless at this" Pooja rolled her eyes. "I think I'm going to bring my mom to come check this out" she smiled, "It is beautiful, stunning really" she added.
"You should go to the Manzil venue near Delhi" Aditya told Pooja, he stole a glance over at Zoya who'd tensed hearing the name. "I hear it's a fantastic place".
Pooja thought over his suggestion, Zoya glanced over at him for the first time since they'd arrived and frowned.
Aditya stared right at her, almost challenging her to look away.
Zoya wondered why he would have suggested Manzil as they had married there with their small group of friends supporting them. Did he want to create new memories and rewrite over their past?
"What do you think Zoya?" Pooja questioned, being a wedding planner she must have heard of Manzil.
Zoya broke away from looking at Aditya and turned to Pooja, "It's a wonderful place, small and comfortable. Perfect for small weddings".
"Oh, small? I want a big one" Pooja smiled.
Aditya excused himself hearing his phone ringing, he noted it was his father calling. He had yet to inform anyone from his family Zoya was in Mumbai.
"Dad" he answered his phone.
"Aditya, you've been cancelling any lunch plans we've made" Harsh informed, "I'm due to be out of town for the next couple of days, I was thinking maybe we could..."
Aditya didn't hear the rest of it, Pooja joined beside him and he watched Zoya walking in the other direction with Yash Arora.
"Aditya" Harsh called.
"I... I'll speak to you later, dad" he mumbled cutting the call. "Done?" he questioned Pooja.
"Yeah, I think everything is slowly coming together" she replied.
Aditya looked over where Zoya and Yash were walking alongside one another as they walked in the other direction.
"Aditya, let's go" Pooja tapped his shoulders.
He hummed nodding his head, however his eyes continued to follow Yash and Zoya.
Pooja turned heading out the exit expecting Aditya to follow, she started going on about the wedding and the plans she had in mind. She turned around not getting a response and noted he wasn't even behind her. She huffed shaking her head.
"Sometimes Aditya Hooda is just confusing" she muttered pulling her phone out and started calling him but it went unanswered. She assumed he may have gone to use the men's room and leaned against his car waiting for him.
Zoya was grateful when she was only with Pooja when Yash arrived, she hadn't expected him to be coming here however he needed to speak to her. Pooja had told her she'd be in touch about the venues and Zoya walked away with Yash.
"How's your schedule for the next couple of days?" he questioned.
"Well, busy" she smiled. "I am now the most demanded wedding planner"
Yash cleared his throat.
"And you as well" she laughed. "Okay, so what did you want to speak about?" she pushed open the double doors heading into the meeting room she'd booked at this venue as another client was due in another 20 minutes. She settled down on the chair whilst Yash leaned against the round table facing her.
Aditya frowned as he watched from where he stood Zoya and Yash talking, he noted the comfortableness she sat so closely, Zoya seemed to sigh and Yash leaned down touching her shoulders, Aditya didn't miss the way Yash rubbed his thumbs across her skin.
Aditya clenched his jaw and pushed into the room surprising both Yash and Zoya.
Zoya stood and Yash straightened shocked when he saw Aditya Hooda coming towards him, he didn't have time to react when Aditya swung his fist across his jaw.
"Aditya" Zoya screamed pushing him away.
"How dare you touch her?" Aditya yelled moving forward when Zoya pressed her hand on his chest glowering.
"What do you think you're doing?" she questioned sharply.
"Zoya, he is..."
"Don't, it's Miss Siddique to you" she cut him off.
Aditya grated his teeth and glared over at Yash who'd straightened and looked shocked seeing him here.
"Mr Hooda, let me remind you that you are only a client" she crossed her arms in front of her.
Aditya scoffed, "I must have been mad thinking for a moment that... you still maybe had feelings..." he shook his head.
"Why would you think that, Mr Hooda?" she maintained a straight face.
Aditya didn't answer, he simply looked between Zoya and Yash.
"I think you should leave" Zoya informed, "Pooja is probably waiting for you, at least don't make her wait for you".
Aditya looked confused wondering what she'd meant, before he could question further Zoya turned away facing Yash.
He clenched his fists by his side glaring once more in Yash's direction and turned leaving the room and headed outside. What had she meant by not making Pooja wait?
