yes.. I agree.. she makes it clear.. he is portrayed as being needy.. in comparison to her.. she sounded drained...

It is human nature to want to nurture someone you think is weaker than you emotionally. When someone rouses protectiveness in you, caring for them becomes second nature.

that is so true.. mind you showing Adi as the needy male.. is endearing as it brings out the stereotypical view of all women have an inborn nurturing and caring side within themselves.. to me it also challenges the patriarchal view that men are stronger then women.. they are the providers and hunters while women are there to care and nurture the family unit... so its a fresh deviation to show that men too have emotional needs and bend when strained.. while the new age woman can make it on her on as a single person too... just a thought... you provoked

In Pooja-Adi relationship, I feel Pooja was the stronger one. The pillar of support for Adi when the sham of his parent's marriage came to light. The more stable one...the wise one. I can't help sympathize with Pooja here. I think Adi failed to realize that in making her the emotionally strong one, he never gave her the support or care she must have craved for.

well put mate.. its hard to out rightly condemn Pooja.. the only second thoughts I have about her is perhaps I predominately see her as a woman bound by marriage.. very much like Aditya.. its a pity we only get to see the tail end of their half a decade marriage.. they both failed to make it last.. for whatever reason.. work, time, tastes.. but makes me wonder if the presence of a child would have made a difference? maybe worse off.. but it would have been useful if cvs showed both adi and pooja pursued the route of marriage counselling .. to save their marriage, either professional or family mediation.. any thing that shows that Pooja's step could be averted?

To him, she was always the person who didn't have any vulnerabilities. Maybe this is what she meant when she said he was always the friend(or something to that effect). The care and protectiveness one would expect from a husband were never displayed(?)

Basically he took her for granted.. she'll be there to smooth his ruffled feathers..

With Zoya, he is completely opposite. From the beginning, he perceived Zoya as the emotionally weak one. The one who was so innocent that she couldn't fathom her husband cheating on her in spite of all the pieces of evidence attesting to that fact. When she breaks, he holds himself responsible for breaking her and he wants to protect her from the world including herself. In a twisted way, he is more connected to this person than he probably ever connected with anyone else including his BFF/Wife Pooja.

this is very well expressed my friend.. and I can see where you are coming from.. and am swayed with your views.. my concern now is hope Adi finds a happy medium with Zoya.. as per Pooja's wishes as per her diary..

I am not sure if I was able to convey my thoughts eloquently, but I am loving the subtle differences in the relationships the CVs are showing. (mainly Pooja-Adi, Pooja-Yash, and Zoya-Adi) Zoya-Yash still throws me for a loop 😆
