It was the forty second time. Noor sighed. At first it had been interesting but now she was getting annoying. She had been keeping count since 8AM, when Zoya woke up and now it was 3PM. So forty two times in the last seven hours.
"I don't know what Aditya's problem is. Why does he keep irritating me? Doesn't he have anything better to do in life? Zoya whined.
Great! Forty three.
"I don't know appi but you have asked the same question ten times this day. Noor said.
"What question? Came the question from the great Aditya Hooda himself who was leaning on the door.
Zoya huffed in annoyance and went and sat on the chair, trying to avoid Aditya. He sat on opposite chair and smiled both at Noor and Zoya.
"Why are you always trying to irritate me Mr. Hooda? Zoya asked in annoyance.
"Because it gives me immense joy to look at that expression on your face. Aditya smiled and turned towards Noor. "Noor, isn't it fun to get Zoya all riled up? She looks so funny when she's angry.
Noor laughed but Zoya gave her a stern eye. She kept a hand on her mouth to avoid her laughter.
"Can you please let me be in peace? There's so much work to do.
"Appi you should relax for some time. You work too much. Noor said.
"Exactly Noor. Zoya can't handle the work stress anymore. Now she's even become violent. Aditya said. "She's hit me with files, once tried to throw a book at me, stomped me with her heels and look here. Aditya showed his wrist to Noor which had nail marks on them.
Zoya seemed to redden at this. "There was a short circuit at the venue yesterday. I got scared so I just...
"Arrey arrey you literally jumped at me. Aditya said. "I almost fell down.
Zoya blushed a little more. "I didn't jump. It was dark so I fell. It wasn't intentional.
"Are you sure? Aditya winked.
"No Aditya. See, I couldn't control myself when I saw you. You're so handsome that I wanted to be in your arms. Zoya said sarcastically.
The banter went on. Both of them completely forgot that Noor was there and were totally engaged with each other. She left them alone.
She was walking towards the cafeteria when she suddenly bumped into someone. "Ow! She looked up to find Arjun.
"Tum? What are you doing here? And why are you always bumping into me? She asked.
"I'm here to meet bhai and this time it was your fault. You were lost in another world. He said.
"Oh please. If you were looking you could've avoided bumping into me. Maybe you like bumping into me. Huh?
"I'm sorry. Arjun folded his hands. "It's useless to talk to you. He was about to walk away when Noor stopped him.
"Did you do what I asked you to? She asked.
Arjun nodded. "Thirty one times in four hours.
"I knew it! They are so obsessed with each other. I'm sure something can happen between them. Noor smiled.
"But bhai really loved Pooja bhabhi. I don't think he will accept someone else in his life. Arjun said.
"Please Arjun. Even appi loved Yash jeeju but they have to move on. Shahrukh told the biggest lie when he said love and marriage happen only once in life. Second chances do exist and they are way more beautiful than the first one. Noor said.
It was stuff like this which made Arjun's heat flutter. She had all the answers in the world and with her it felt that life was easy and beautiful. She was like a ray of sunshine in a dark stormy night.
"What? Noor snapped her fingers at Arjun. He shook his head. "I think Aditya and appi are perfect for each other. And now it seems that they can't live without each other. Only they don't know it yet. Plus you should see them flirting sometimes. Aditya is a totally shameless flirt but even appi flirts with him sometime.
She smiled which made Arjun smile. If Zoya made his bhai happy then he would happily welcome her. After all, both of them deserved happiness and love.
"We have to get them together. Are you with me? Noor extended her hand. Arjun took it.
They smiled and high fived each other.
Zoya and Aditya were watching them for a distance.
"I told you na there was something going on between them. Zoya smiled.
"I figured it out first. Aditya said.
"No you didn't. Zoya pouted. "But if they really like each other, we should help them.
Aditya nodded and Zoya smiled. They again looked at Noor and Arjun who were talking about something with the biggest smile on their faces.
