Chapter-6B

Do you really love her?

Love the person who loves you the most even when you are in a difficult situation. Never shatter their hope and love for you.

Finally, the day arrived when the two souls longing for each other for their togetherness ends. Today all the barriers, which they have in between them, will be broken. Everyone were in a jovial mood after a long time, every face had that smile, which was missing for years.

Zara-dad is you ready for your wedding. (Placing the sehra on his head)

Zain-Yes my princess, now tell me how I am looking.

Zara-Everything is fine but.

Zain-Is there something wrong? (Checking him from head to toe)

Zara-Something precious is missing from your face I guess you smile. (With smirk on her face).You should not be nervous. You have to be strong you have to handle ammi's anger.

Zain-you have become naughty. (With a smile on his face)

(Suraiya comes in asking Zain to come fast as they are getting late for the wedding)

Zain nods yes to his mother while Suraiya takes Zara with her. As soon as they exit, Zain sees a diary kept at the corner of a table. He walks towards the table quite hesitant since his feet were not allowing him to stop.

Suddenly he receives a call and then the caller asks him to come to a site, as there is big issue, which has taken place only he can resolve the issue.

Zain-I'll be there in half an hour. Don't you worry just try to keep them calm until I come. (In haste, he takes the diary with him)

Zain walks in the hall searching for someone to inform that he has some urgent work and need to be there as soon as possible. He goes to Suraiya.

Zain-Mom I need to go I have to be there at the site as a big issue crept in.

Suraiya-What about the wedding Zain this will commence in few hours.

Zain-Mom you know that Aliya will never be happy if I keep dad's dream project aside so mom please try and understand I'll be here in an hour.

Zain convinces Suraiya but still she feels that it is not right.

Aliya's room

Aliya sitting in front of the mirror all decked up in beautiful bridal attire. Any women on the Earth would look their best on their wedding day so it goes with Aliya also.

Aliya-Why am I so worried (brooding) I was waiting for this day and finally the day has arrived so just try to be calm everything have to be all right.

Suraiya enters Aliya's room, sees her worried sitting next to the mirror she went to her and sited herself beside her.

Suraiya-Is everything alright beta you look worried.(quite concerned) I came here to tell you that Zain went to site as some urgent issue is to be resolved by him.

Aliya-Nothing serious its fine I know this project meant a lot to mamu so it is good that he went there to resolve the issue.

Suraiya-Zain was expecting same answer from you. Both of you are really made for each other like seriously why I could not see the depth of your love before.

Aliya-Everything happens for good, now I don't look back as I await a happy beginning of my new life.

Suraiya-you are right we all should forget the past and should welcome happiness with open arms.

Zain reaches the site and takes the situation under his control. He was ready to head back to venue suddenly he came across the diary, which he took from the table.

Zain's monologue

(Holds it and flips through the pages with trembling hand) I did wrong with Rehan how I could do this to him. He kept my love safe with him and protected her from all odds all these years in return he got nothing instead an unexpected death. He had feelings for her but never tried to force himself on her, he respected my love for her, he was there with her when I had hurt her and how can I forget the promise. I am sorry Aliya I can't betray him, as he was the only person there with you.

It starts raining heavily hiding the tears of Zain. He never in his worst nightmares thought that he would be compelled to take this decision.

In the hall, everyone has gathered there for the wedding ceremony of Zain and Aliya. Zain arrives at the venue and he is all drenched.

Zain-(with tears brimming in his eyes) I Zain Usman Abdullah am calling off this wedding.

Everyone was shocked to the core. No one was expecting this coming from him especially Aliya.

Aliya-(stunned) Zain.

She wanted to speak but now the words were short to describe the pain she was going through. Her heart rammed against her ribcage. Ice breathed down back of her neck as she walked helplessly towards her room.

Everyone was questioning Zain but he had no answers to their questions as he himself was in a disbelief that how could he smash the dreams of his love. He just walked out leaving everyone distressed.

Zain went to his room he was shivering from inside. He was melting from inside as no one was there to see his pain, his anguish for himself. As he was collecting all his thoughts unexpectedly, he saw with a distorted vision his guiding light, his dad was standing there.

Zain-Dad? (He just felt peace seeing him)

Usman-Today, what you did with her was not right; though you had reasons for doing so that were well justified but have you ever thought that turning the old pages of your painful past has affected your present.

Zain-Dad I can't betray Rehan he sacrificed so much for Aliya and to repay what all he had lost because of me I have to respect the feeling he had for her.

Usman-I just want to ask a question from you. Do you really love her?

Zain realized that what he did was wrong, that one question was enough for him to understand that only few lucky people get true love in their life.

Zain right away went to Aliya's room. He opened the door.

Zain-Aliya I am sorry for what I did today. (He was shocked to see no one was there in the room)

He asked everyone about her but no one knew where she went. Everyone was worried to find out that Aliya was missing.

He was vulnerable he never knew things would turn so awful. His heart skipped a beat. His eyes were teary with that fear on his face of losing her again.
