10) And all of it is appealing to the viewers. Because, very gaurdedly, they have made the matter of love, hurt as private matter between the two. If Aaliya wishes, she can just slap Zain. But since she does not want to, she will not. And this is actually the most magnetic appeal towards Aaliya for Zain. He can forever be playful with his wife, as she provides game for him all the time. While he was on fun roll before marriage, after marriage, he has started work and being responsible, but he still gets fun of being gamer and having fun through his wife. After all, when you have a partner that brings the best and worst out of you, you are more likely to pledge yourself with him/her, as it is a home and security without any masking.

@underline: That's true. He is enjoying the changes in his life because they not only made him responsible but at the same time retained his freedom also. Something that he could never perceive.

^This. I wasn't going to respond but I had to answer after reading this. Seriously, where are we going to go if 21st century humans are still thinking like this. I can't believe his drinking is being justified, but she's being pounded for... sigh...

Oh so if he's heartbroken, so it's obviously alright for him to slosh himself with drinks (which by the way I've heard is also wrong to do in Islam) and dance with other women WITH the intention of making his wife jealous and invariably feel bad.

But oh dear lord, save us all, if she's taking the comfort of a friend she's known since childhood when she's feeling down.

And when did he explain to her his feelings? All I saw was him manhandling and ridding himself of his frustrations. He's struggling with his feelings and that's alright, it's real and it happens (which is why I love the show, you know the fact that they try to keep it real), but the fact of the matter is that he didn't find their relationship secure enough to tell her what's been bothering him. And how in the world would it occur to her that Zain was jealous of her and his own cousin, her childhood friend, a person she'd never even dream of in "that" light. (Though that is Zain's character--he's still maturing as a character, and so as of now he's still impulsive, brash, and insecure.)

So the only logical conclusion I can come to is that maybe we're watching different shows, because there was nothing "physical" of that sort between Zubair and Aliyah.

And it's because of people who do find something physical between them that a modern mentality can't be employed in mainstream Indian TV.

As for me, I for one think Aliyah handled the situation very maturely. She gave him space--she didn't leave him, she just gave him some time to sort his nerves out. Very mature, very intact, and very considerate of the institution of marriage.

To answer your question, yes, they both know that. That is the reason why Zain tests her patience, then becomes quiet and again goes for new kick. For Aaliya, its like burnt hands and she will never forgive him for trying to tease her. She wants to be a winner, as proven through her Zubbu talking abt how they used to beat Zain's team always. That's why she keeps reminding Zain that everytime her hair is cut, Zain's pants also will go down. And to begin with, Aaliya as kid suspected something of naughty and before knowing that Z might ruin her hair with gum, she actually made him sit on the gum. Even Aaliya is no good and unsparing to Zain. That is the reason, why she sees her marriage as Naseeb from God, as she sees too many pitfalls for her. She needs to come out of winning and losing competition, and actually be Zain like, just enjoying pranking and having fun. For Zain, it clearly does not matter winning or losing as long he gets to be happy and which serves his objective. He is never a poor listener for the good word. Takes it in his stride.

Aaliya is too jealous of the female interests of her free spirited husband, whom she actually considers a bohemian man. Now when will she realize that she is a contradiction in herself, is what Zain will teach her through his habits and his way of living and loving. Why is Zain made to be jealous of Aaliya's interesting Zubbu...well it is because, he is not per se jealous, but he is angry that now things have changed and the winning team has teamed again and his wife now really needs to be in his team and yet she is not. And he still needs to be the man outside their team and he did maintain to satisfy his ego, and yet he is hurtful for that whole episode of playing what he does not like and feeling insecure that he may lose with Zubbu and Aaliya in one team together like old times, which for sure he does not want to lose it this time.

The couple is actually taking it slow. But for the sake of TV audience, the fire of passion, attraction, love has to be kept burning so that we get the moments we enjoy to make VMs and Fan Fictions. The amt of fan fiction even if written in anger, is interest enough for the channel to keep running the viewer dissatisfying tracks. Reaction from the viewer is what generates the TRPs. That done, rest the basic story is kept intact for a time.

The answer to this is very simple ...i am not a twenty first century human . Or probably born mistakenly in this century with a mentality of the stone age .

Not as blessed as others sadly .

That said , pari , why is Zubbu Bubbu giving advices on marraige when he is not even married . He is a freaking bal brahmachari with no girlfriend even [ i assume ] . What he knows about married couples . Stupid interfering cartoon who has wrecked a marraige .

Kool, you are right Zain has done a lot for Aaliya's family but she has done the same for his which is how the respect started then all of a sudden that vanished when he without question sided with Barkat over her. Zain didn't bother to hear Aaliya out, instantly she was the bad guy while his darling sister was the innocent victim. Zain suddenly became blinded by his sister's love, not only him but the family in general. This is why Zubbu's entry didn't upset me much, granted Aaliya shares fault in not seeing why Zain was so hurt by Zubbu's interference but that does not mean Zain is a saint.

unfortunately i cannot mix the 2 issues . Barkat issue and this Zubbu issue r totally different . For Barkat issue he apologised though ...

Aliya had been very huffy with him when he had not told her about HER sister . [ The escort case .}

He was huffy in HIS sister's case . But he quickly apologised pretty egolessly as i saw it .

Zain knows how to apologise and he has no hesitation to do it too if he is convinced . And nowhere do i even remotely liken him to a saint dear , i only watch serials with flawed characters nowadays .

Why are we comparing Zain vs Aaliya's actions???

I see nothing wrong in Aaliya spending time with her cousin.

As a viewer we could see the jealousy and insecurity building up in Zain and called it bad luck/fate or whatever..Zain always seem to come and hear the part that can be easily misunderstood.

But Aaliya didn't know that..she just found out when Zain confronted her about it on Monday. And now that she knows she's being careful.

And She didn't pack her bags and left because she wanted to leave him but she's just giving him space.

About Zain readily apologizing for Barkat issue..well don't forget that Aaliya didn't hesitate to apologize to Barkat as well. And did Aaliya retaliate or react the way Zain did when her feelings got hurt? No.

This is a love story of two people who are very alike and strongminded people and at the same time they have their differences. Enjoy their journey and accept the fact that people are bound to make some mistakes as no one is perfect.

I completely agree with you. Like the first time when Zubbu entered and they were doing the I don't know stupid hand game . I was like " what the hell" grow up Aliya. You are not a child anymore and Zubbu is also not 5 years old. And yes Zubbu is irritating too much. I know he doesn't have a bad purpose. But no husband would ever accept that. Even of its a cousin. Like sharing husband and wife secrets to a cousin ... Not okay to me at all. Like husband comes before ... Cousin dude. And I know she didn't really tell any super secret. But zain assumed that she did.but her behavior was too much. Like If Aliaya likes that Zubbu so much and wanted to share all her life secrets why didn't she just marry him.

And by the way her leaving the home was a personal decision. She can walk out whenever she likes. A susral shouldn't be a jail.
